This will be a standalone game separate from the main TTG TWD series. It was originally expected to be released this month, but has been pushed back until February 2016.

Think this will only be three parts, with Season 3 of TWD coming later in the year. I'm not expecting this to punch me in the feels but looking forward to it.

It was mentioned in there, yes, but TTG have stated that this mini-series will be separate from the main TWD game series, so I created this thread a few months back to talk about the mini-series.

Downloaded and played Ep. 1 yesterday. It had its moments, especially towards the end, but overall pretty "MEH" compared to TWD S1, S2 and 400 Days so far.

Finally got round to downloading this. I'm not expecting the kind of emotional gut punch we got in season one and two, as this three episode run just doesn't have the time to build stuff up like that, so just going to enjoy this for what it is.

The use of quick time during combat is pretty good, adds a different element to the game, although the frame rate and stuttering is pretty bad still.

The artwork is top notch and the use of the comic scenes in the opening credits was pretty sweet.

So far I find Oak incredibly annoying with his stereotypical bad English accent.

Choices for the first episode:

Seemed really short

Yeah, it did and I didn't feel like I developed any kind of bond or connection to any of the characters. That being said, the fact that it's only a 3-episode series, and the fact that I've already played Ep. 1 makes me feel as though I'm compelled to play through Ep.'s 2 & 3. Just not sure I'm ready for Ep. 2 so soon...why couldn't the release schedules for the original TWD gane S1 and/or S2 be like this? Maybe for S3? Crossing fingers but not holding my breath.

Yesterday it was confirmed that Episode 2 - "Give No Shelter" will be released across all platforms on March 29th, whether you're on PS3/PS4, 360/XB1, PC, Mac, iOS or Android.

Are their puzzles or is it just quick time action and walking to the next horrible choice? These games used to be good.

Nope, just the same ol' walking over and minimal interaction scenes. After playing Life is Strange, Telltale games off late feel pretty short and foolproof in design.

Yeah, they're kinda not putting a ton of effort into this I think because they want to get working/working more to get TWD S3 ready ASAP. That being said, it may not see the light of day before 2017.

I loved those Walking Dead games, but there were this little things that just drove me mad.

Like there was this one thing, where you had to shoot the zombies (I think it was around that skiing resort or whatever) and there was supposed to be a cutscene right after you ran outta the bullets. It took me a few tries because you know, after running out of bullets I only pressed the LMB once or twice and it turned out you will die unless you click 3 times so the dumbass finally reazlies she's out and starts running or something.

Yeah, there's been a few minor annoyances, but really nothing at all game breaking in some episodes of the main game series. But kinda just wished they hadn't thought of the mini-series so we can find out where Clem's story goes in S3. Guess patience really IS a virtue.

The frame rate slow down is my biggest annoyance. Never experienced it on the 360 versions of the games, but with the later games on One, it's getting worse with each episode.

Can't get emotionally invested with this mini-series, probably due to the fact it's just three episodes and we all know Michonne will come out fine at the end of it.

Well, maybe physically...but what about mentally, emotionally ans/or psychologically?

Yeah. I'm not sure it's enough but they definitely cranked the drama up to 11 for episode 2.

I just can't help thinking that when I play ep. 3, it's going to be a huge letdown, but I hope TTG are able to prove me wrong.

I wonder if this series/Michonne will ever tie in with Clementine and Wellington....

Also, in ep. 2, the framerate lag and random times when audio would cut out pissed me off to no end.

Indeed it does. Seemed to be (IMHO, anyway) a lot less present in the first episode. Wonder WTF happened.

The Wolf Among Us is the games with gold this month. Haven't played this yet but does it suffer from the same frame rate issues?

Can't remember for sure, but it didn't seem to, at least not nearly as much. I did find the story pretty intriguing, though, if that matters.

I enjoyed this episode more than the first one, but it was still relatively short compared to what we normally get. Was surprised by how brutal some moments were, the flare death in the garden being one of my favourite parts. The last chapter....damn...

Choices for the episode:

It was arguably better than TWD ones to me. Just felt far more in depth.

While I agree the Michonne episodes are short, it still is enjoyable

It's the last episode of the Michonne miniseries.

The update I had was a title update, so then had to download the episode after getting through that 2.2gb first.

UGH, sounds like that's gonna be a royal pain in the ass.

Was the shortest one yet no reason this shit needed three episodes. This was a pathetic ploy for the company to milk money out of people.

Finally downloaded the damned finale...MEH...the recap at the beginning was pretty "ho-hum" and suffered from the most lag and skipping and audio cut-outs...was again underwhelmed with this save for one big setpiece moment which I won't spoil here.

6.75/10, IMO.

Jesus Christ the lag in this last episode was ridiculous. It's getting worse and worse the more stuff they seem to release.

I can't believe that two chapters were completed before the opening credits as well, it's like they only thought of what they wanted to do in the first episode and then ran out of stuff to put in the rest of it. This last episode was incredibly short.

Anyway, the end was pretty decent but overall this whole mini-series could have been made to deliver more.

Downloaded this, for some fucking reason it displays sideways, like a 180 turn when in full screen and when in window mode it's cut on the sides, only see the middle.

I downloaded 3 different versions.

Yeah, her and Randall were the only people who really gave the miniseries any real substance besides the flashbacks Michonne had of her two daughters.

I really really took more pleasure probably than anybody should in anything by giving Norma the silent treatment most of the time. Decided from when I first met her and she decided to try and pull that "Queen Bitch" routine on me to make me answer her interrogation questions, which frankly felt more like the damn Spanish Inquisition. Was funny pushing her and pushing her and seeing her getting more and more angry, all the while in futility trying to strike out at the crew and Michonne. Probably the one silver lining I found in all this.

Now we probably have to wait till either fall or maybe winter for the main series S3 premiere ep. Will depend a lot, I'm sure, on when they decide to release the series premiere ep. of their Batman game series.

Anyway, fucking hate how you can't skip "Previously on" and shit. I just fucking played the last episode, fuck off.
