I kid. Really fun show. Looks like Finn was fucked up at the end though so hopefully it's not a bad concussion or anything. |
Ugh I had to leave midway through Bayley/Nia Jax and missed the rest of the show. No replays up anywhere I can see but looks like it was all great from when I missed it :D

Knew there would be no title changes on a show that started at 3pm. Basically a live house show with how the matches turned out. Great show though.

WWE wouldn't care about NXT booking. It was the semi main in a Brock Lesnar show. There is a difference between 5am est and 3pm est. 3pm east is easily viewable in the EST. Most people would wait for the replay at 8pm for the Japan show.

Just got back from the show. What an insane show. Great. A little disappointed that there were no title changes but the quality on show was amazing. Finn vs Joe was fantastic...Joe works so stiff it adds to realism. Enjoyed both divas matches. They were both different kinds of matches.
Nxt is a totally different beast to WWE main roster and I love it. It's been a great week overall in WWE. |
Damn my sleep schedule. I caught parts... the tail end of Asuka's match/the Kharm-Nia Asuka confrontation, the entrances for the FBI vs Brain Busters (obvious sarcasm) match, bits and pieces of Baron Corbin, and I was aware that Joe vs Balor happened, as Joe was going for the tazmission. The rest of it I was sawing logs. Not out of boredom, but I sleep days and work nights. Gonna have to find a way to watch this tonight at work.

I guess I'm off from most everyone else. I thought this was a "meh" show. It would make a solid couple of weeks of TV, but for a "special" it was just kind of there. The matches were for the most part technically great, but, just felt kind of "there."

Better show than I was expecting
Asuka vs Emma Thought this would be another one sided Asuka match, but ended up being a great back and forth match. Feel like the end bit with dana interfering one last time was unneeded. Should have just ended with the Asuka lock. Minor grievance though. Still a good match. Enzo and Cass vs Tag Champs whose names I forgot. k, so despite not knowing their names I'm starting to like these guys, and their whole "old school heel" gimmick. Glad they retained, but I feel like it was too clean. Enzo and Cass need to look stronger since it's their return. Feel like every match just consists of Enzo getting his shit kicked in for most of the match, before the hot tag and big finish. I know that's the obvious route, with Enzo being the small guy, but they should vary it up a bit sometimes. Crews vs Corbin Just ok. Not bad, but not really up to the standards nxt has set. Actually think corbin works best with other bruisers like joe and rhyno. Corbin needed the win, and I really hope they continue pushing the end of days. Would be a great gimmick for a guy to have a finisher that no one can kick out of. Dunno if it would work on the main roster, but it's perfect for nxt. Baley vs Nia Jax I'll be honest. This match surprised me. I thought it would be horrible, but I have to give Nia Jax credit. She may be limited due to her inexperience, but she works around it pretty well, and what she can do, she does well. Except for selling submissions. Waving your arm like a mental patient, not quite the best sell I've seen but hey, she's new. Anyway, a good underdog match that I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. Very surprised Baley won. Thought for sure they were building up Nia Jax to be an unbeatable monster to serve to Asuka. Balor vs Joe Don't even have to talk about the match itself. Everyone knew going in it would be great, and it was. Surprised that once again the champ retained. Though I don't think this is the end of the feud. Can't tell if Joe was super gassed or just selling really well, toward the end. Leaning toward the former. |
