what was the move that injured him?

that Sting himself admitted was his own fault for not tucking his chin
|
It sucks that he had to go out with such a brutal injury (though he's lucky it wasn't worse), but at 56-years-old, he shouldn't have been wrestling anymore, even though he's in good shape for a guy his age.

I just don't want to focus more on the point that he was brought in to play a part in WWE's final declaration to anyone who didn't already know that WWE is way, way better than WCW ever was. |
oh okay, I can never tell which people in this forum are being muties or just taking the piss
|
I appreciate that tone doesn't always come across as intended on the internet
|
90% of the time someone is stealing the piss.
|
and drinking it too
|
And re-selling it on ebay
|
At least he got a win in a WWE ring. Granted by shitty DQ on a throwaway episode of Raw but it still counts dammit.
|
I'm actually seeing Sting this weekend, he's gonna be at a local indy show for a special appearance.
|
what a career 0-2.
that's hall of fame worthy. I kid, I kid. Pretty bummed, was looking forward to a sweet Sting run in WWE |
Rollins is the best in the biz at injuring people.

He should change his name now to "Stung"

It was better late than never. Regardless of his win loss record, it's really good that he got to shine in WWE and have that run, even if it was short lived. Kinda weird because Warrior in some ways was similar. After all the years of nobody thinking his return would ever happen, he finally makes amends and reconnects with Vince... and then he passed away a few days after his HOF induction. It's like both Sting and Warrior were vindicated at the end but taken to soon. Not that Sting really needed to be wrestling at his age, obviously (the career ending injury for example). But even at his at his work was really fun and the matches were good.

This is my favorite thread title of 2016 so far

Guess we'll never see Surefer Sting vs Biker Taker now. What a waste.
|
We could see Baseball Jersey Shane vs Biker Taker tho.
|
Surfer Sting vs Biker Taker
Staring contest ONLY! |

Sucks. Sting is like my second favorite ever.

Sucks, Sting is one of the greatest of all time and I hate how WWE used him. Honestly don't want to see him in a non wrestling role in WWE. I would rather he returned to TNA as a GM or something.

Quote:
Also, clearly we must now see Singer Sting v. Biker 'Taker ONLY, with Surfer Sting ONLY as special guest referee. |

DTTS is from Florida so he probably secretly voted for Trump too. Everyone else there did.

This is the a wrestling forum, fuck off with the politics. Anyone who votes in this election is retarded anyway. Not a candidate worth a vote.
|
Quote:
Donald Trump is best friends with Vince McMahon, they're both fake billionaires, wrestling as is Washington D.C. is run by the Illuminati. GET WITH THE TIMES! |
There's only one anti-Illuminati candidate running...it ain't Bernie.
|
Is it Gary Johnson?

And just like that my Taker V Sting hopes are completely dead.
:( I wish I knew why they ignored that match and really thought HHH v Sting was the way to go. |
Quote:
Just play it out in video-games. |

They've even acknowledged it as a dream match-up you'd think they'd want to pull the trigger on it.
As for the match potentially sucking, it's not like that has ever stopped Vince and co. in the past. |
Agree with Jari, Sting/Taker was the way togo, I don't care how old they were.

I genuinely still can't get my head around the idea that Sting and Undertaker were on two PPV cards and never so much as made eye contact. Would have been such an easy build and people would have eaten it up.
Putting smiles on people's faces though. |
The real dream match is Kane VS. Sting
|
Quote:
And that's what we got. Cause remember, they know what we want better than we do. |

but i agree with your first point. just like i don't talk about race here, i don't talk about politics. |

Sting denying a report from TMZ that said he's officially retired as a wrestler. Either TMZ's sources were wrong or Sting himself changed his mind recently.
Quote:
|
TMZ has removed that video now. Can't have a video up that contradicts their original report I guess?
|
Quote:
|
There is not a chance in hell that WWE will ever medically clear Sting to wrestle again even if he wanted to.
He's likely to just officially announce his retirement at his HOF speech. |
