I just saw this from something I linked to from reading a Cracked article, and came here to see if it was some 'net hoax or legit.

I'm both shocked and not surprised by this news. 46 is way to young to go.

It's usually drugs in the porn industry these days.

R.I.P.

I will say, she changed the game when it came to Women in the wrestling business.

Like some of you, doesn't come as a complete surprise, but it is sad.

Evil Vito 04-21-2016 07:15 AM

Ugh. Fucking stop 2016 :( RIP

Evil Vito 04-21-2016 07:18 AM

I had held out a small bit of hope that she and WWE would reconcile their differences long enough for her to go into the HOF eventually.

Rammsteinmad 04-21-2016 07:20 AM

Anyone remember that video made trying to build bridges with WWE, and the whole time she was brandishing some porn award in the shape of a golden cock?

R.I.P. anyway. Not a fan, never was. Whatever. At least she's at peace now.

Rude died from cancer

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-21-2016 07:34 AM

I hope they don't do a huge thing for her on Raw. Would underscore the fact that they didn't give a shit about her when she was alive after they betrayed her.

RIP Chyna. Shit. This has been a shitty calendar year. :(

The MAC 04-21-2016 07:36 AM

rick rude died from cardiovascular disease. Steriod enlarge and weaken the heart. Warrior and eddie also died from heart related illness.

I was expecting a Warrior style reconciliation and a thorough shining up of her company perception. Could still happen posthumously.

This is my take on Chyna - I don't think she ever understood that other people were responsible for her success. She was introduced to Shawn Michaels and Triple H at a time when Triple H was looking for a unique manager/bodyguard and she fit the bill very nicely. But she thought she was a worldwide superstar and bigger than she was because a lot of people bought a magazine with naked pictures of her in it. She was never anything without the McMahon machine behind her and I think that really bothered her. She seems to have thought she was as big as Rock or Austin. In the aftermath of the Benoit incident she definitely definitely demonstrated a completely unfounded opinion of herself.

All that being said I'm sorry things went the way they did for her and I'm saddened that her life ended this way. I wish she could have found peace in life, and I hope she can find it in her rest.

Shisen Kopf 04-21-2016 07:43 AM

Yeah Chyna was only successful bc of other. Unlike a legend like Bobby Jaggers who made it big on his own. RIP to both.

I don't think you have to worry about that.

Whoa! This is extremely sad. Rest in peace, Chyna.

Heisenberg 04-21-2016 08:15 AM

She no showed the Wrestlecon event here in Dallas, that raised a few eyebrows. It would have been nice to see her and Ivory come out and clean house on the current women for a RAW.

Sad, but I'm not surprised honestly

Heisenberg 04-21-2016 08:50 AM

My favorite moment with her was meeting her at a book signing and I had on the Triple H "I am the Game" neon slime shirt on and wrinkled my forehead all HHH-like while up there at her table. I was 16 at the time so when she called me sweetheart I melted.

I bought her One Night in Chyna DVD, but couldn't get into that at all, but I hope she is at peace now and she'll always be remembered as one of the best.

Maluco 04-21-2016 11:56 AM

This one makes me sadder than most, so mamy stories of her being nice and kind, but she was lost for so long.

Considering the career she had and all the firsts she accomplished, she deserves to be remembered in a much higher regard.

Hope she gets the legacy she deserves in death. RIP

erickman 04-21-2016 12:09 PM

hope they make raw dx night

Frank Drebin 04-21-2016 12:57 PM

Normally, because of the Hardcore porn, WWE would probably stay far away from this. However, they've already acknowledged it on their website, talent is tweeting about it and her being from the Attitude Era, many still remember her at her peak. The mainstream coverage this is getting is somewhat surprising, so I fully expect a nice montage at the start of Raw on Monday.

Probably gonna leave a few in tears.

Doris Roberts (Marie Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond) passed away a few days ago. There's the 3.

Evil Vito 04-21-2016 02:13 PM

There really isn't any excuse for her to not go into the HOF. Triple H's explanation a few months back that she couldn't go in because his daughters could Google her and see her second career is really a line of shit. Especially when they've just inducted a man this year entirely based on his gimmick of dancing around with scantily-clad women.

Evil Vito 04-21-2016 02:14 PM

Also if memory serves, there were plans for her to be in the SummerSlam 1999 triple threat main event before it got changed to Austin/HHH/Foley. I'd even read they were going to have her win the belt for a short time.

Just think of that. During the hottest period in wrestling and going up against WCW every week they nearly gave Chyna the WWF Championship. That's how big of an attraction she was.

Yeah, HHH didn't exactly do a great job with the explanation, but inducting someone who is well known for going from wrestler to pornstar is still a huge PR risk.

Godfather might be risque, but at least that wad just a gimmick. Chyna got fucked by thor on camera for realsies.

Maluco 04-21-2016 04:10 PM

I think the real reason she wasn't put in was because the company couldn't trust her with a live mic at the award ceremony, given certain accusations she has made in the past.

Now, I almost hope that was it, so they can give her a really nice induction next year. Personal feelings shouldn't come into it and I don't think they will.

Fox 04-21-2016 09:40 PM

Doing as much steroids as she must have done throughout her life takes a big toll on the cardiovascular system. Add in prescription drug abuse, alcohol, and likely some illegal drug use as well, and it's not really very surprising.

Incredibly sad though. All of those DX reunions that have happened would really have been made truly complete with Chyna out there, too. She and Triple H were the two who were part of both incarnations (HBK-led DX and HHH-led DX). She had an incredible WWE career and it really is incredibly moronic for Triple H to claim Chyna is being blackballed because of the porn thing, when they continued to work with both Sean Waltman and Hulk Hogan after porn videos with them were released, and also because they fully supported her participation with Playboy, in which she posed nude.

Chyna was probably the best female wrestler in WWE history, if you really look back and think about it. The most dominating, the most consistently pushed and carried as strong. If only Chyna were in her prime during the current "golden age" of women's wrestling.

RIP.

Heisenberg 04-21-2016 11:21 PM

I agree with Fox about the steroids, it feels like the Ultimate Warrior story, but without the Happy Ending leading into his HoF induction and memorable RAW appearance.

The MAC 04-22-2016 03:40 AM

Steroids really fuck with your heart. A lot these wrestlers that died from heart attacks / failures have been linked to steroids. Surprisingly Hogan's heart hasn't exploded yet.

Would be surprised if HHH also dropped dead before he is 55.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-22-2016 03:54 AM

They are all linked to steroids and about a bajillion other drugs.

Disturbed316 04-22-2016 04:59 AM

Damn

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-22-2016 08:43 AM

Steroids are bad for you particularly if you abuse them. Same as other drugs. Which most wrestlers were on. It's not the particular drugs, it's the abuse of them which leads to these deaths. This is nothing new.

There are also health benefits of certain steroids, done correctly with proper dosages and proper cycles. However, obviously pro wrasslers aren't going to be doing steroids safely. But they're also going to be popping 25 somas at a time. (not anymore, but back in the day)
