I hope his kids don't google him in the future.

slik 05-11-2016 11:13 AM

My thoughts exactly

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-11-2016 11:14 AM

Is a doctor's note going to get him out of this one?

Big Vic 05-11-2016 11:21 AM

People are going to treat him like a social outcast now.

road doggy dogg 05-11-2016 11:21 AM

so glad they kept him on the roster instead of Sandow!

Big Vic 05-11-2016 11:24 AM

He is acting like a lemon.

Evil Vito 05-11-2016 11:32 AM

He'll be fired by the end of the week.

Nicky Fives 05-11-2016 11:41 AM

better than going all Oscar Pistorius (his fellow countryman)....looks like he's not taking his suspension well and just locked himself into being future endeavored by the weekend....

Sounds like he put his hands on his wife's face and began squeezing her head and then threw her phone across the room. He is still in jail as of this moment.

I was half joking, just in jest of the farce of his suspension, but I've seen it flare up in such a way particularly with medication being changed etc. Unfortunately if you're a 250 pound man there's not much room for grey area.

While I had a tremendous amount of sympathy and hoped for the best for him and his family, particularly given his son's medical issues, and he seemed like a genuine nice guy who wanted to be able to provide for them, he also seemed a bit unstable, like something just wasn't quite right with him mentally.

Yeup.

Even if he was in the right with the suspension stuff, this likely lost whatever support he had left in the WWE. Doesn't help domestic violence itself has become a big public issue recently so WWE has to give him something really harsh or else they'd have their own bad PR to deal with.

A WWE rep told the ProWrestlingSheet.com:

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Raymond Leppan has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”

Emperor Smeat 05-11-2016 06:12 PM

According to court records, Rose is facing up to 5 years in prison if convicted since he got hit with a 3rd degree felony for charges.

The suspension the WWE gave to Rose was under their "morals clause" for talent contracts.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-11-2016 06:14 PM

What an emotional trainwreck of a man. I pity him, and even feel sorry for him, but if you do the crime, you must do the time.

PWInsider.com has acquired the criminal report affidavit filed by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office in Florida ...

Leppan grabbing the phone from his wife resulted in the tampering with a witness charge. That is a felony in the state of Florida.

The domestic battery charge is a misdemeanor.

Apparently Rose had another domestic violence incident earlier this year that didn't become public until very recently. Happened in March and got revealed by the judge in the current case.

Judge wanted to issue a restraining order against Rose partially due to that reason but his wife pleaded for it to not happen because of their special needs child who needs care by both parents. Same reason why his bond was very low compared to what the usual amount might be in Florida for similar cases.

Quote:

Shackled and sporting an orange jail jumpsuit, WWE superstar Adam Rose appeared in Florida court Thursday in his domestic violence case ... where his wife begged the judge to cut the guy a break. Rose was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly roughing up his wife -- and then smacking the phone away from her when she called 911. He's been charged with battery and tampering with a witness.

The judge wanted to hit Rose with a restraining order -- barring him from contact with his wife. But shockingly, she begged the court to reconsider ... because she wants him to come home. During the hearing, Rose's wife said they have a special needs child who needs both parents.

Rose's lawyer also argued Rose's actions were "not aggressive or painful" but rather "more of a passionate, 'Hey, let's talk about this.'" The judge mentioned a PREVIOUS domestic violence incident in March -- and expressed concern about a pattern of abusive behavior. But in the end, Rose's wife got her wish ... and the judge held off on the restraining order.

The judge also set a low bond -- $1,000 -- which means Rose will probably be out of custody by the end of the day. He's been ordered to see his pastor for counseling once a week until his next court date in June.

Hey @Smeat

ProWrestlingSheet.com was looking for writers to write news articles (it's one of the newer dirt sheets, they broke the Adam Rose story). You seem like you would be a good wrestling reporter so just letting you know about it. :)

Due process exists for a reason. Don't be an idiot.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-12-2016 05:52 PM

And that's not to say I would be against his firing as he is already in the bad books. But maybe he has some goodwill within the company and they are genuinely worried about his situation. While his charges are of a serious nature and deserve to be treated as such, there is nothing wrong with proceeding with caution until the whole mess is cleared up. Keep in mind this is somebody's livelihood. Not only that, but as his wife pointed out, they have a son with special needs, so charges or not, maybe the wwe is concerned about his family who would certainly bare the brunt of dad being out of a job

In saying that, his release would come as no surprise to anyone.

Due process only applies to governmental institutions, programs, etc. Not private employment (or other) agreements, (or organizations, companies, individuals, etc.), unless the agreement itself says otherwise, obviously.

That being said, I have no problem with institutions being extremely cautious in scenarios like these. More people should be much less quick to judge than they are. After all, you're innocent until proven guilty, and to me there's not much worse than deciding someone is guilty prior to conviction/confession, all the facts emerge, etc. Given that he's been charged though, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a suspension in this case.

Oh for sure. I just meant more how Damn inator was like "OMG WHAT FUCKING ASSHOLES FOR NOT IMMEDIATELY FIRING HIM" and it's like the guy hasn't even been proven guilty, so what's wrong with them allowing his due process in court before they make the final decision. You think I didn't think of either that or the principle concept of innocent until proven guilty before making either post? Because I can assure you I did.

If WWE were smart, which they ought to be for a company that actually briefly mentioned on a recent SD! (commentator said it) that for the most part they're remaining PG with a few moments in each show that might be considered "TV-14", and as such trying to by and large remain a family oriented product, at least in the short term, that they'd have no problem firing any male superstar even ACCUSED of something as heinous as assaulting a woman.

Wasn't trying to come off judgmental, but I sure as hell wouldn't want someone working for me anymore if they were arrested for domestic assault.

Of course the allegations while not yet proven, are nonetheless very serious, and of course no one could disagree that if Rose is found guilty in court that he absolutely should be let go.

I imagine that was probably a misdemeanor offense at most and not a felony like Rose is probably looking at.
