Will basically be watching http://www.twitch.tv/easyallies for the duration. Best in the biz, baby and they will be streaming stupid amounts of hours during the press conferences. Also should have E3 BETS up this week.

EA's thingy is going to have multiple 2018 games as well as this year and next year.

Boomer 06-07-2016 01:46 PM

I don't think I would care about E3 at all if Giant Bomb didn't have the after-hours shows each year. There is something incredibly appealing about people in the games industry (often) getting drunk on camera and shooting the shit during the show.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-07-2016 01:58 PM

I like Giant Bombs stuff, but last year was when I was took time off to watch them while watching Gametrailers coverage, so freaking good.

Will be catching up with the Giant Bomb stuff the day after most likely.

Emperor Smeat 06-07-2016 02:36 PM

Besides Watchdogs 2, Ubisoft teased more games they will be showing off during next week's E3 event. Also for some reason decided to release a teaser trailer for their E3 press conference.

Quote:

Eagle Flight (VR) – Official Website

Developed exclusively for virtual reality, players will soar over the skies of Paris as an eagle and experience the freedom of flight. Players take on enemies in fast-paced multiplayer battles for up to 3v3 or level-up flying skills in single player to navigate their eagle gracefully through the city’s most iconic landmarks.

For Honor (PS4, XBO, PC) – Official Website

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, For Honor drops gamers into the chaos of a raging battlefield during an ongoing war between three Great Factions: the bold Knights, the brutal Vikings and the enigmatic Samurai. For every battle, players can choose which warrior they want to embody amongst the unique Heroes from this pantheon, using their distinct skills and weapons to fight for land, people and honour, decimating all soldiers, archers and opposing Heroes who stand in their way.

Ghost Recon Wildlands (PS4, XBO, PC) – Official Website

Set a few years from now, Ghost Recon Wildlands lets players lead a team of Ghosts, a four-player U.S. Elite Special Operations unit, on a covert mission to eliminate the Santa Blanca drug cartel, an underworld power and growing global threat within Ubisoft’s imagining of an incredibly beautiful, yet dangerous Bolivia.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole (PS4, XBO, PC) – Official Website

Delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park as the New Kid, players must harness their super powers to fight crime and become part of the most beloved superhero franchise of all time.

I don't think GB's banter live during the conferences is nearly as good as their late night stuff, so I don't care as much about missing that (and I probably will - just depends on work). But I straight up lose sleep for their late night stuff - I just hate that they have to take so many breaks to set up new panels and such.

But I like hearing old men talk about video games, I guess. I don't really pay attention to any other coverage anywhere. I used to go to Gametrailers for some of their video content, but I know the GB guys too well now to care about hearing analysis from anyone else. Every time I watch any games coverage now (besides GB) I often just feel old and out of touch. And I'm 30, so that's ancient, right?

I'm 31 so thanks for making me feel old!

Yeah I do like the just drunken mayhem of the Giant Bomb thing, I just never get to appreciate it live from the UK unless I accidentally wake up early. I know what you mean, most YouTibe coverage is aimed at the kids so EZA and GB are the two left that I can actually deal with!

Emperor Smeat 06-07-2016 05:38 PM

Current rumors regarding Bethesda's press conference:

Quote:

According to multiple sources, Bethesda will show off sequels for Prey, Evil Within, and Wolfenstein: The New Order at E3. The latter I totally get as they even followed it up with the highly successful and well-received Old Blood (plus it was basically confirmed already), but Prey is rumored to appear at every E3, and with Evil Within's mixed welcome, I'd be shocked to see a sequel.

But the biggest bombshell that will go over with the crowd is probably a Skyrim remaster, which will reportedly include mod support on consoles (just like Fallout 4), improved visuals, and all of the DLC in a GOTY-like fashion -- that might sell more than all of the above combined.

drave 06-07-2016 06:13 PM

Meh, played the shit outta Skyrim and not sure I would play it again just because it is "prettier".

drave 06-07-2016 06:14 PM

Actually, it is the one 360 game I still physically own. Took half the week off work and went to the midnight launch. That was the last release party I attended.

Fignuts 06-07-2016 07:30 PM

Would agree with you if not for the mod support bit. That alone would make it worth revisiting.

For that, I will just jump in to the next game set in the world of Cyrodil, or wtf ever it was called.

Been playing some Elder Scrolls Online and can't keep my geography straight :-\

#BROKEN Hasney 06-08-2016 02:27 AM

UbiSoft's conference is going to have cringe in it, I can already see it based on that Watch Dogs trailer.
Get hacked on stage Aisha saying its all unplanned, maybe a meme or two. Watch Dogs 2 gets shown.

Well, I doubt we'll see Cyrodiil (aka The Imperial Province). It served as the setting of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and interestingly (or not), it is the capital province of all Tamriel, with the capital located in the Imperial City, from where the Emperor reigns.

I'd enjoy seeing a future game set in a province that hasn't been done yet with perhaps its additional content set there, though. Could be really cool if done right, especially to see how the Imperial City has changed since the end of Oblivion.

Fignuts 06-08-2016 03:10 AM

I want fucking Black Marsh. Screw those stupid cats and their hippy province name.

I dont think you'll ever see Argonia. The lore makes it sound completely uninhabitable to non-argonians.

It's fantasy. There are plenty of ways they can change that.

Jeff from Giant Bomb will be driving to E3 with Alex and Danny O'Dwyer from Gamespot and will be live audio streaming it at some point on Saturday. It's about a 5 hour drive.

Bunch of pre-E3 news:

* Next game in The Witcher series is being teased to be a card-based game based on recent trademarks and could be revealed during next week's E3 event. Also teased to be based on the card game called Gwent in The Witcher 3.

* The E3 trailer for Injustice 2 was recently released early online.

I'll admit it. This delay for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be well worth it if they added something entirely new to the game. Kinda like the VR Missions in Metal Gear Solid.

There's a big difference between people experienced in their field offering analysis and "teens reacting" by going "HURRR DURRR IT'S SO OLD LOOKING" or whatever.

EA also encourages that type of thing.

I really like the way Bethesda do their show. Good mix of stage and video, couple of cool announcements and a lot of time for their biggest game of the year. Not a spectacular conference but the way they deliver the information is great. Much better than that EA shit.

She's apparently known in the TES:O community. I guess someone has to be that big of a fan of it somewhere.

I mean I imagine their guest lineup has some huge surprises still - it always does. I was going back through videos from them last year, and completely forgot they got Lorne Lanning to stop by.
I probably forgot because that was the show that Johnny V posted Dave Lang's phone number on social media. I don't think that one will be topped.

MS pushing hard that you can buy once, play on PC or XB1 with saves and everything carrying over. It's great.

New XBox Slim has HDR in games, which will bump them up quite a bit in terms of looks.

How's that work with achievements and such?

Like, if doing a thing gets you an achievement, will you have to do it on your Xbox to get the achievement there, then load an older save on your PC and do the thing again to get the Steam achievement?

VSG 06-13-2016 01:05 PM

I still don't care about the Windows 10 store. Microsoft hasn't learnt that no one loves their platform even after an year, and people are willing to give up exclusives even.

Going by Quantum Break, achievements are shared. You can unlock them in the Windows 10 Store version.

- We drinkin up, ye mateys.
- TEKKEN 7 multiplat confirmed yas.
- FF15 release date? I thought the game was the waiting.
- No Titanfall 2 presentation? Okay.
- Custom soundtracks return is very nice.
- Yeah I'm totally wasting money ordering a custom controller.
- Raam fucking murders Jago lol.
- I suggest 343 get to work on a Scorpio edition Halo 5 with splitscreen.

Fignuts 06-13-2016 02:21 PM

Titanfall 2 was in EA's conference.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-13-2016 02:22 PM

FF15 is out September 30th. They had a whole stream to announce it.

I'm wasting money on a custom controller if they do an Elite one and Bluetooth they announced means I can get rid of my XB1 Controller dongle for PC.

Custom soundtracks said "your service". Really hoping it works as good as the 360 and I can use Google Play Music.

Sea of Thieves looked phenomenal

I bet Sony have the Titanfall 2 marketing deal

So was BF1. They still showed the trailer they showed AND had a teaser for yesterday.

:| Ubisoft starting their press conference with a big dance performance

Poit 06-13-2016 04:03 PM

Oh come on. That was amusing.

Emperor Smeat 06-13-2016 04:10 PM

Performance itself wasn't bad and was the usual Ubisoft goofiness they have for their E3 press conferences, just didn't expected that to start the show. Although it did tie well into their Just Dance announcement.

Sepholio 06-13-2016 04:15 PM

Feel like Xbox should just skip the S and go straight to Scorpio. I want 4k and HDR very much but I'm not going to buy an S knowing that the vastly superior Scorpio is only a year out.

Emperor Smeat 06-13-2016 04:24 PM

 at the trailer leading in to the new South Park game.

Poit 06-13-2016 04:24 PM

Ah, good, The Fractured But Whole. This is why I'm watching. :D

Emperor Smeat 06-13-2016 04:27 PM

Similar to the Microsoft press conference, Ubisoft's entire press conference lineup got leaked online before the show.

Sepholio 06-13-2016 04:27 PM

I can't wait to get Fractured But Whole.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-13-2016 04:46 PM

We've had confirmation that the main charatcer in Mass Effect will have the last name Ryder... Good for Zack.

Yeah, pre-ordering to do another Stick of Truth playthrough for sure. The combat upgrade looks huge too.

Poit 06-13-2016 04:52 PM
