EA's thingy is going to have multiple 2018 games as well as this year and next year.

I don't think I would care about E3 at all if Giant Bomb didn't have the after-hours shows each year. There is something incredibly appealing about people in the games industry (often) getting drunk on camera and shooting the shit during the show.

I like Giant Bombs stuff, but last year was when I was took time off to watch them while watching Gametrailers coverage, so freaking good.

Will be catching up with the Giant Bomb stuff the day after most likely.

Besides Watchdogs 2, Ubisoft teased more games they will be showing off during next week's E3 event. Also for some reason decided to release a teaser trailer for their E3 press conference.

I don't think GB's banter live during the conferences is nearly as good as their late night stuff, so I don't care as much about missing that (and I probably will - just depends on work). But I straight up lose sleep for their late night stuff - I just hate that they have to take so many breaks to set up new panels and such.

But I like hearing old men talk about video games, I guess. I don't really pay attention to any other coverage anywhere. I used to go to Gametrailers for some of their video content, but I know the GB guys too well now to care about hearing analysis from anyone else. Every time I watch any games coverage now (besides GB) I often just feel old and out of touch. And I'm 30, so that's ancient, right?

Yeah I do like the just drunken mayhem of the Giant Bomb thing, I just never get to appreciate it live from the UK unless I accidentally wake up early. I know what you mean, most YouTibe coverage is aimed at the kids so EZA and GB are the two left that I can actually deal with!

Well, I doubt we'll see Cyrodiil (aka The Imperial Province). It served as the setting of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and interestingly (or not), it is the capital province of all Tamriel, with the capital located in the Imperial City, from where the Emperor reigns.

I'd enjoy seeing a future game set in a province that hasn't been done yet with perhaps its additional content set there, though. Could be really cool if done right, especially to see how the Imperial City has changed since the end of Oblivion.

I want fucking Black Marsh. Screw those stupid cats and their hippy province name.

I dont think you'll ever see Argonia. The lore makes it sound completely uninhabitable to non-argonians.

Maybe its just the over emphasis on sports or just the general pace of the conference but something about EA's press conference each year feels boring at least compared to the others.

Well that was probably one of the worst conferences in recent memory.

This was absolutely terrible.

But it was the best one at this E3 so far :shifty:

Wonder how the gaming community can be so against "React videos" but support streams "stealing" EAs stream.

There's a big difference between people experienced in their field offering analysis and "teens reacting" by going "HURRR DURRR IT'S SO OLD LOOKING" or whatever.

The mind control type power in Dishonored 2 seems really cool. Whatever happens to one guy under the power also affects everyone else associated.

Prey looks cool, but I was really pumped for the concept of Prey 2 before it got cancelled.

Bethesda have some of the best non-plant fanboys and girls. Screaming about Elder Scrolls Online and some guy going YEAHHHHHH to Fallout 4 VR.

EA's presser was boring as all hell, but it wasn't nothing. Titanfall 2 and Battlefield are something, though I won't play either.

That said, that press conference totally redeemed itself with the dumb celebrity appearances after for the Battlefield game.

I really like the way Bethesda do their show. Good mix of stage and video, couple of cool announcements and a lot of time for their biggest game of the year. Not a spectacular conference but the way they deliver the information is great. Much better than that EA shit.

I mean I imagine their guest lineup has some huge surprises still - it always does. I was going back through videos from them last year, and completely forgot they got Lorne Lanning to stop by.
I probably forgot because that was the show that Johnny V posted Dave Lang's phone number on social media. I don't think that one will be topped.

MS pushing hard that you can buy once, play on PC or XB1 with saves and everything carrying over. It's great.

New XBox Slim has HDR in games, which will bump them up quite a bit in terms of looks.

How's that work with achievements and such?

Like, if doing a thing gets you an achievement, will you have to do it on your Xbox to get the achievement there, then load an older save on your PC and do the thing again to get the Steam achievement?

I still don't care about the Windows 10 store. Microsoft hasn't learnt that no one loves their platform even after an year, and people are willing to give up exclusives even.

Going by Quantum Break, achievements are shared. You can unlock them in the Windows 10 Store version.

Custom soundtracks said "your service". Really hoping it works as good as the 360 and I can use Google Play Music.

Oh come on. That was amusing.

Performance itself wasn't bad and was the usual Ubisoft goofiness they have for their E3 press conferences, just didn't expected that to start the show. Although it did tie well into their Just Dance announcement.

Feel like Xbox should just skip the S and go straight to Scorpio. I want 4k and HDR very much but I'm not going to buy an S knowing that the vastly superior Scorpio is only a year out.
