Could just be the WWE forgetting to update things but suppossedly Cena and AJ Styles are teased to be appearing for tonight's show. Ambrose is another Smackdown star also teased but at least he has the excuse of being the WWE champion as a reason.

On one hand, at least they didn't pull a Bischoff and just hand the new main title to someone but on the other hand, pretty much pulled a post-MitB 2011 in making last night's WWE title match meaningless in terms of impact.

Good choice for the new theme. WWE Universal Championship sounds dumb. I guess it's not a Heavyweight title. Will just seem off with the WWE Women's title on Raw with out the WWE title after they just made them similar. I'd Smackdown going to create a WWE Universal Women's title?

Opening promo only took 10 minutes and actually accomplished something, so that's a step in the right direction.
I mean, I understand them not wanting to just bring back the old World Heavyweight Championship...but did they really need to come up with such a horrendous name? Wouldn't Raw World Championship have been different enough? I guess the problem with that is that in future years they couldn't really ever have the Raw World Championship get drafted away but still. Terrible name. |
