Season 3 starts this week. Shit will go down. Post about it here.

So far, so good. Marty the Moth is becoming one of my favorites. I also really like the Underground Worldwide stable.

Pretty good start to the season. Nothing overly spectacular, but solid shit all around. I did notice that Pentagon looks like a monster in comparison to Rey Rey.

I've been meaning to check it out. I had this peak level of interest after Ultima Lucha and the start of Season 2. I'm finding that interest has waned considerably. I'm not sure if it was the news of all the injuries, talent leaving or Lucha Underground generally being douches about talent leaving. How did the end of the season go?

End of season was good. Rey Mysetrio came in and tore it up. New season is great too. Never liked Cage or Texano for a long time, then my feelings for both guys grew and I felt that it would be awesome at Ultima Lucha Dos and now they're doing the Ultimate Opportunity, which is so great.

Cage is amazing, really.

The stuff he can do at his size is pretty ridiculous.

I love how you can see that Kanyon is Cage's trainer just by watching him. Totally different wrestler, but just that innovative style.

Really shocked WWE haven't grabbed him yet.

he seems happy and is banging Melissa Santos on the side. Sounds like the good life to me.

I'm surprised they haven't gone for her too. She's much better than anyone in WWE.

They've tried at least once or twice to get her but either LU pays her more or she'd be in the same situation like Prince Puma where whoever signs her, can't have her on tv till the end of Season 3 at the earliest.

I was reading up on that some time ago, and it appears that Cage did spend some time in WWE developmental somewhere or other. Not sure how he didn't get more of a shot.

Didn't know he was trained by Kanyon, but he definitely did drop a "WHO BETTER THAN CAGE?" on the most recent episode. Makes sense now.

I read he was in FCW about the time that EC3 and a bunch of others were (Wyatt, Dallas, Justin Gabriel/PJ Black)

He was Kris Logan in FCW. I don't know why he was released. He called them "idiots" for letting him go, but he might just be working. He says he's open to going back. I didn't see much of his work, but they might have just wanted him to go and get some more seasoning. That seems weird, since they were producing a clone factory at that point in time, and even now, they say they want people trained properly, but the guys that carry NXT all have experience in many different styles.

If I were him, I'd send feelers to the WWE when my contract with LU/AAA is up. He reminds me of a good Ryback.

Only just caught up because there's what too much wrestling, but yeah, that made me smile.

Even though it's in the early establishing stories phase for the season, I think it's top quality right out of the gate. Like that Ivelyse and Katrina already have a match set for the season finale, there's tension in the Worldwide Underground and we haven't even got to Paul London yet. There's not a person on the roster who sticks out as making me want to fast forward, which is astounding.

Mil was the only guy I didn't like for the longest time as he's just a slow lumbering hoss, but once he got going with the brawls in grave consequences and him and Matanza going through the roof, I loved him. Marty the Moth is great too after that WMD match.

From top to bottom, the best hour of wrestling on TV still. Great roster, great matches and the storyline and production are top notch. Still laughed at Honkey being a random cop in the jail.

Pentagon Dark is the best, I swear.

I Marty was brilliant just brilliant. I also love how in the LU male female in ring encounters are treated so casually its easy to get used to and they do a good job of making The likes of Sexy Star look more than capable of delivering beat downs

They have no issues making everyone look as good as they can. ZEveryone seems to get a moment.

I didn't realize that Cheerleader Melissa was working for them. That is cool. She is wonderful.

Yeah she was involved in the Marty vs Sexy Star feud last season. Ended with a really good I Quit match between her and Star.

Sexy Star seems like a real trooper from what I've seen. I was a bit annoyed the WWE passed her up a few years ago.

What are some good Matanza matches I should check out? I've seen a few Jeff Cobb matches in PWG and he's quickly become one of my new favorites.

So Jim Cornette hates LU with a passion he specifically points out that Sexy Star beating male wrestlers is stupid and ridiculous.

That's because Sexy Star is the most overrated luchador on the show.

She's no The Mack, I'll tell you that.

It's been 13 weeks since we've seen King Cuerno. I am afraid he's gone forever.

Think he left the company during last season's tapings. More due to LU's co-owner Mexican promotion AAA recent money problems and horrible management than anything LU related itself.

He's still performing in AAA.

Either he must have reconsidered recently or maybe it was just from LU he left. Don't think he was involved in any of the tapings for this season.

LU has a similar problem with at least 2 other stars after this season with one already confirmed gone due to retirement.

I read that Cuerno was invited to the CWC and AAA wouldn't let him go. I think I would have died.

This week's ep was so good. the tag match was so good.

And the Are you kidding me? Awesome.

That would have been tight.

At least they sort of wrapped his story up in a way where it makes sense for him to be gone, or he could come back some day feasibly.

Information for all 3 events was posted on Facebook. 2 shows at the Fair this weekend. I'm definitely going to try to get into both.

Season 4 (if it happens) could end up having Worldwide Underground getting disbanded or be changed since Jack Evans was recently fired by AAA who co-owns LU. Also possible he could end up rejoining the company prior to taping since he's had past history of being released and then later rehired by AAA.

I love that they edit in guitar noises when the Worldwide Underground air guitars. Even in-ring.

12 pm show:

We showed up early to make sure we got in. It was outside at the State Fair and it was hot as fuck.

1st match was Jack Evans vs. Son of Havoc. Jack Evans was hilarious and cut a promo where he called Havoc a hobo. The top rope broke in the middle which was absurd and hilarious. Havoc went over.

2nd was Taya vs. Ivelisse vs. Mariposa. They pulled out some ridiculously cool shit. triple submissions and the like. Ivelisse won with a Dragon Sleeper. Taya's booty is fucking gigantic and perfect in real life.

last match was Johnny Copa Mundial vs. They Call Him Cage. Falls apparently counted anywhere, but there was only like one pin attempt outside the ring. They beat the shit out of each other with a stop sign and a trash can. Johnny Culo won after Taya interfered.

Wonder if he was just fired from AAA but gets to stay or finish off whatever commitments he has left with LU.

Newest edition of the Observer Newsletter confirmed he's been fired but said nothing about how it impacts his LU stuff. Then again Fenix also left AAA a while ago but got to keep his job in LU.

3 pm show:

1st match was Drago vs. Aerostar vs. Australian Suicide (who I know from AAA but has not ever been on LU) vs. Hector Garza Jr. (who I've never seen or heard of). It was a very good exciting, high flying match. Lots of action on the outside of the ring and dudes flying everywhere. Drago won with the Blockbuster.

2nd was Ricky Mandel vs. "the Tollman" Kevin Kross. I've never heard of Kross, but I guess that some of you might have. He was huge and crushed Mandel.

Last was Pentagon vs. Mil Muertes. They beat the shit out of each other. Catrina was nowhere to be found, though. Pentagon won with the stomp.

Holy shit, I had no idea that Son of Havoc was Matt Cross. I first saw him as M-Dogg 20 on those Backyard Wrestling videos back in the day. Crazy transformation.

He got cut from Tough Enough too.

The matches for live show in San Diego were announced today and KING CUERNO LIVES. He's wrestling the Mack in a match that will definitely be dope as fuck.

Just started the latest Lucha and goddamn, I can't believe I care about Cortez. It's so nice having a show like this where everyone has a little story.

Dario is drinking a lot in character and giggling. This is great.

Mil is in a suit and it's not explained why #Heel

Probably because he wasn't scheduled to compete and he's just a sharp dresser normally.

Nothing like the undead in a suit and a mask.

Either way, Pima/Mil next week is a Grave Consequences match

Don't forget about Famous B and Mascarita Sagrada in a Believer's Whatever They Called It match as well!

Rey V Chavo Loser Leaves Lucha was fun as hell.

I just love how every character at least has some sort of direction.

Watching now and this Masquiritas/Famous B match is much better than it has any right to be.

Yeah, I found myself being way too into that. Good for them.

Creampie line was hilarious.

So crazy that I was just sitting around a bonfire with Sami Callahan a couple months ago, and now he's on Lucha Underground.

He looked better in one match than he did in all of NXT too.

Thought Ivelyse was legit injured until Sami carried her out too.

Also weird that they just took a bunch of top talent out of Aztec Warfare. The roster has so much depth now though that they can.

Man that was such a good episode. Puma going in seems to make the most sense as he won't have to job in Aztec Warfare and the look on Vampiros face made it look like that's what he wanted. Probably bring him back from the dead and bring out a darker Puma.

:lol: at the bag of popcorn being the same size as Mascarita during the Famous B vs Mascarita match.

Puma-Muertes Grave Consequences match was really good.

I'm hyped for Aztec Warfare this week. Also went back yesterday and watched a few of the most brutal Lucha matches with my wife. We watched WMD, No Mas, and then the Cero Miedo match.

The family that bleeds together breeds together.

That's what I'm assuming, that we're going to get a darker, more aggressive Puma, Dark Puma, etc, who will destroy Mil, and be directed at Pentagon.

So we're going to have two dark/evil badasses, Dario's god infused brother, a second god infused badass (either Texano or Cage), two semi-immortal women (one of which is essentially death), and Mil, who is death's weapon...

AND WE ARE GETTING AN ILLUMINATI LIZARD KING!

I fucking love this show.

Aztec Warfare 3 is tonight. It's like the Rumble when they actually tried to tell multiple stories in one match.

Yup, all three Aztec Warfares have been better than over a decade of Royal Rumbles. Not a big Sexy Star fan though, but the individual moments made up for it. Angelicos return was as epic as it should be.

Some potential Good/Bad news regarding a Season 4 for LU.

This week's ep...

Paul London being a twisted Mad Hatter type guy feels like what Adam Rose should have become when he was feuding with the Rabbit or for his heel turn in the WWE.

Yeah, the whole Rabbit Tribe thing is basically Adam Rose on psychedelics.

I dig the Rabbit Tribe from what I've seen. Also, that Killshot/Fox match was insane. Also, really happy that Mundo is champ. Love this show.

Yup, everything righted itself from the Aztec Warfare match. Dario will probably give Matanza his rematch in a couple of weeks I'd guess so that'll be interesting.

Rabbit Tribe also continued the proud tradition of debut losses.

It would have been a lot more awkward if they won the Trios Titles on the first night, I think. Striker did a good job of explaining why they were there in the first place.

Totally, I like the idea of debut losses anyway. They're coming into a new, hostile environment and don't know how to deal with it straight away. You need to be a monster the level of Matanza to get anywhere on your first night.

Well that was a lot of fun. That third chick of the Lotus Triad is something else, holy shit. Love the ending too with Vamp ressurecting Puma.

I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to get into that many Pentagon matches against unknowns, but I enjoyed that immensely. Good work, Lucha Underground.

The 3 chicks in the Lotus Triad are supposed to be the 3 best women's wrestlers in the world.

I dunno about y'all, but I'm pretty stoked about this new storyline going on with Drago and Matanza Unleashed.

Good week this week. I thought the first Battle of the Bulls match was better than the 2nd.Crane,Fox, Killshot and Mariposa did some really great insane shit.

Drago vs. Kobra Moon is so good with the introduction of Lord Pindar and the Luchasaurus. Seems like they're well set up for a Trios tourney with the champs, Worldwide Underground, White Rabbit, The Snake Tribe. I'm sure they'll have a few other teams going.

The 2nd Bulls match was fun in the way that LU likes to fuck around with characters. I was really going for Angelicoor Havoc, but they won't ever let it go without some shenanigans.

Was surprised nobody got seriously hurt from the Tower of Doom spot onto seated chairs during the 1st Battle of the Bulls match. One of the chairs had the legs sticking straight up but they all just missed it once the Tower move happened.

Lol, the "Giant" snake guy is the one who cried about Bill Demott when he got fired from the WWE....

The Cage spot from this week was so filthy. Unbelievable shit.

Really looking forward to Cage vs. Texano IV and possibly V.

Steel cage match was pretty good. Loved the backstage segments this week also.
