The only minor thing I want changed is a "super" kick option for players who just kept on sending me posse invites. Like after 3 attempts and you reject them all, you can boot them.

LEAVE ME ALONE! I BOUNTY HUNT SOLO!

I remember one time I was on with roxer, I tjink maybe alvarado, and a couple other guys. We saw another player coming, so we lined up and rode toward him like you see the posses walking through town in the movies. Guy rides by us saying "whoa guys, I don't want any trouble."

So good.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-20-2016 01:40 AM

Continue with Jack? or is this going to be a prequel?

Fignuts 10-20-2016 01:57 AM

Rumors have been that it's a prequel.

Couldn't see it being a sequel anyway, since the first took place during the last days of the wild west.

JimmyMess 10-20-2016 09:57 AM

i'd love for another john marston run. the voice, the character, it made the game for me.

https://youtu.be/gmA6MrX81z4

Well, uh, that was something.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-20-2016 01:33 PM

Oh yeah, Sony has timed exclusive DLC on this too.

Wishbone 10-20-2016 01:48 PM

Really hope we're not playing as Marston again. I really liked him, but we know his story and his fate at this point. Playing as him just wouldn't hold any weight in my opinion. Personally I'd like to see us either playing as a new recruit to the gang with Marston as a side character, or as a lawman/bounty hunter who's pursuing the gang.

Fignuts 10-20-2016 03:12 PM

Jesus, that looks gorgeous.

Kalyx triaD 10-20-2016 03:23 PM

Quote:

Another thing of note is the game is now confirmed as a prequel to the original, with the mention of “Van der Linde gang." Dutch himself even makes an appearance at 1:15 in the new trailer. On top of already confirmed things such as dual wielding revolvers and canoes, notably a bow can be seen being used in the new trailer as well.

Emperor Smeat 02-06-2018 06:59 PM

Lots of rumored leaks recently for the game.

Quote:

The purported leak features a slew of online modes and features for the open-world adventure, including reports of the currently highly-fashionable Battle Royale mode, a team-based shootout known as Fight and Revive, and the Money Grab, which sees players racing against each other to bag stacks of gold, returning to their base and amassing a fortune as quickly as possible.

The notes also speak of a huge online world, like the previous title, where players can roam at will. There is a bigger emphasis on the world having "life", including businesses setting out and packing away their storefronts as dawn rises and night-time falls. This world will be filled with tasks to be completed and activities to while away the hours, such as fishing and gold-mining. Players will hunker down in customisable tents, RDR2's equivalent of GTA Online's apartments. Home on the Range, and all that.
Quote:

The solo campaign will feature new vehicles such as mine-carts and horse-drawn carriages, and will feature all-new side-activities such as cattle herding, horsemanship and weapon proficiency challenges. A companion app will allow players to socialise and throw down with a round of poker.
Also rumored to include a First-Person mode similar to GTA V's mode.

Figured I'd give this a bump since we're about a month out from launch.

Information has been coming out at good clip these days. All the locations in the world, 250 species of animals and 19 horse breeds, all the gang members revealed, online won't be live at launch.

Pretty psyched.

If that's how much free space is needed after the install completes, it begs the question as to how large the download will be.

Guess I'll hope and pray I'll have the space...got 240/500GB available.

Emperor Smeat 09-26-2018 09:50 PM

Probably a lot larger since that likely is not including the Day 1 patch.

Should be a lot more manageable for the physical version depending on how the split goes or if they go a multi-disc route.

Emperor Smeat 10-05-2018 05:26 PM

For those interested or buying the PS4 version, the timed exclusive content for the game was recently revealed by Sony. Its just 4 in-game items with one available at launch and the rest next month.

The next three early-access items for PS4 are all coming in November with the launch of Red Dead Online. There's the Red Chestnut Arabian horse (a tier above the starter horses), an Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter saddle (with health and stamina boosts), and the High Roller Double-Action Revolver.

For those getting or interested in the Xbox One version instead, that content becomes available 30 days later.

Back to this drive size thing: at some point, special editions of "blockbuster game x" should come with a fucking HDD. If you're going to pump the entire contents of a planet and three suns on my disk with no regard for what I already may have there due to mandatory installs, you should come up with a solution that doesn't involve erasing shit and assuming I can just recover all that at a later time. We all know that isn't reality at this point, especially on console.

Hell, just release a "physical" copy of the game preinstalled on a system formatted portable drive with room to spare for future DLC and patches with an appropriate custom shell to be a statue or whatever the fuck feelies you want it to be for that game. Makes that "collector's item" actually useful instead of some ~$150 paperweight.

Since the first one never made it to PC how are you coming to that conclusion?

Emperor Smeat 10-15-2018 05:52 PM

Several new details was recently revealed via an interview Rockstar had with website Vulture.

In terms of size, the Xbox One version requires 89GB of free space while the PS4 version requires 105GB of free space on the hard drive.

In terms of gameplay length, Rockstar estimates it will take around 65 hours to complete.

And in terms of negative backlash, Rockstar is currently denying earlier claims they made of pushing 100 work weeks for crunch time in order to finish the game on time.

Also the reason why they've stopped bringing in big name actors for their games is due to Rockstar souring on the idea after dealing with several bad incidents in the past.

For those going with the digital version, turns out the size listing on the Microsoft Store and PSN for the game were wrong since Rockstar recently revealed the game's true size.

Quote:

According to the support page, Red Dead Redemption 2 weighs in at 99 GB on PS4. You'll need to have even more room if you're going digital, as the installation process will require an additional 50 GB on top of that. Xbox One owners, meanwhile, will need to have 107 GB to install the game.

There has been much speculation over how big Red Dead Redemption 2's size is, although all previous estimates have indicated that it was going to be quite hefty. The box for the Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro bundle suggested it was going to be 105 GB, while the Microsoft Store listed it as approximately 88 GB.
Quote:

If you're purchasing Red Dead Redemption 2 digitally, you'll be able to pre-load it starting tonight, October 18, at 9 PM PT (12 AM ET on Friday). You'll get other benefits for pre-ordering the game, such as the Ardennes War Horse, Outlaw Survival Kit, extra cash in Red Dead Redemption 2's story mode, and bonus GTA$ for Grand Theft Auto V's GTA Online mode.

If you seriously think R* are seriously going to just sit there like "Money? Who needs that?! LOL" after seeing how well GTA V has done on Steam (where he mentions there alone as of February has sold 10M units), you need your head examined. No way they turn up their noses at the possibility of raking in the mega bucks again. They are a business, they're in business to make money. Learn to connect the dots, man.
