Khalis knees > Romans Superman punch
|
lol someone chose khali. i'll be damned
|
Roman is objectively better in literally every way, but honestly how hard is it to be better than a sentient, oversized scarecrow?
|
Based on Look: Khali
Based on the larger nipples: Khali Based on the better promos: Khali Fells like a slam dunk, something Khali would have no trouble doing |
Plus Khali had that fucking CHOP
|
Khali could get the crowd to cheer him and is more over in India. Anyone who votes for Roman Reigns is a racist workrate mark.
|
Reigns
Anybody voting for Khali is just trying to be funny. |
Reigns.
Not even close. Feel like I don't even need to explain. |
Quote:
|
Reigns. Khali was sooo awkward. Just to big. He had 0 mobility. He did his job which was to lose to Cena but he had nothing really besides the mandatory comedy gimmick after that.
|
It's honestly ridiculous that Khali has any votes.
|
Roman has a better body of work, is obviously a better talker (in English anyway) and is a far superior athlete.
Khali beats him in presence and spectacle, which has always been a massive part of prowrestling. If this was 70 years ago, people would be throwing money at THE GREAT KHALI, but it's not 70 years ago. What matters now, Roman has more of...Roman wins! |
lol Are you TRYING to get Reigns into the HOF, Destor?
I thought the challenges are supposed to get tougher as we get closer. |
benefitting from the likes of Shawn Michaels getting pwnd by the incredible Hitman.
|
That said, I'm voting Khali.
|
Quote:
Reigns has had good matches |
Great Khali
He could step over the top rope. |
lol oh man
|
Khali was better on the mic, better in ring and had 76 times better WORKRATE. Can't believe you fools actually voted for Reigns.

Khali killed a dude. So, it's Roman.
|
But like Daniel Bryan should be next or somebody like him. He's getting a cake walk like when he missed half of the Rumble cause he walked out of it.
|
Gonna pick Reigns. Not gonna give a reason because trying to describe why one turd is better than another turd doesn't seem entertaining at the moment.
|
yeah i guess. like trying to pick between Bernie or Hillary when you know they are gonna get pwned by Trump.
|
I fully expect Roman Reigns to go into the HOF with upcoming wins over Giant Gonzales, Jackie Gayda and Nailz.
|
Baaaaaastion Booooooger damnit and Damien Damento!
|
Khaki because fuck Roman Reigns that damn much.

if Khali wins we need STEVEN RICHARDS next time.
|
.....who else could Khali get this many votes against? Nathan Jones?
|
There have been a lot of duds that Khali has had more relative success than and have comparable ring skills.
Honestly, ask yourself the question -- if you were going to try and create a worldwide wrestling company, and you could only choose either Roman Reigns or Great Khali. It's not as clear-cut as people are making it seem. Reigns can go out there and wrestle his ass off all he likes, but he has negative babyface charisma. As a heel, he might fair better and might eventually get cheered and become a damn good professional wrestler, I'm not gonna lie. Reigns as a heel is valuable. That being said, he's got massive stank on him. If you got him without his WWE trademarks and shit, you'd have Joe Anoa'i. Joe Fatu. Someone like that. He'd be nothing but a washed up Samoan who never cut it in the WWE. If you have Dalip Singh, you've got a movie star, a spectacle and a man that the entire subcontinent that is India would be willing to pay tons of money to see. On American television you just give him an epic theme people want to hear and send him out to chop some stooge and you can EASILY get him more over than Braun Strowman. You're not going to get Iron Man Matches out of him, but if you try, then you're an idiot. You just choose other wrestlers on other days in other picks. Given the TPWW Better Wrestler Hall of Fame, you already have Randy Savage. You don't need a Better Wrestler Roster consisting of "total package" guys. Reigns is pushed as a total package guy, and tries so hard to be that, but he ends up falling short of greatness in each area because of it. Don't let your WWE markdom and racism prevent you from voting The Great Khali for Better Wrestler. You can select a more well-rounded guy next time. |
Noid says it best. If you vote against Khali, you're a racist cocksucker.

Khali used to make me cringe because of how bad he was, Roman makes me cringe because of how bad he's booked. Roman wins by default

Roman Reigns easily.
Khali was a "spectacle" when he debuted, especially when he beat the Undertaker with his foot on 'Taker's chest, but otherwise the novelty wore off very, very quickly, and we realized how awful he was. Big Show was always better as the "big guy". Roman isn't terrible. He's just a victim of the booking he's given. |
I went with Khali.....that's how much I dislike Reigns.
|
Better wrestler, not better booking. If this was going on at the height of the Shield there's no way Khali gets more than a few joke votes.
|
One day i think it will catch on but so far it hasnt. Being mean and hooking tights doesnt make you a heel. Being disliked makes you a heel. The curtain has been pulled back. Like Cena before him Reigns is the top heel in the industry. The reaction when he entered the Rumble. Think on that. The reaction when he lost. Think on that. The reaction from these polls. Its meta. The business of the busoness is the busimess now. The office is the heel. You are the face. Roman is the representation of the office.

Roman is the authority.

Khali. I loved that big oaf.

Hah! Come on, Khali!!!

I now regret voting for Roman. What a naive, narrow-minded fool I used to be yesterday

Tough choice mostly because of how mediocre both guys are overall. Gave the slid nod to Khali in the end.
Promo skills and character/gimmick for both were pretty bad overall. In terms of in-ring skills, neither is really good but Roman gets the nod for being a lot more mobile. In terms of stardom, Khali gets the nod mostly for bringing the big India market to the WWE while Reigns is struggling with his rise but has a lot of potential left to surpass Khali. |
I had to use some sick mental gymnastics but I've finally managed to substitute Arn Anderson for every Khali match in my mind therefore, he's had some outstanding matches and awesome matter-of-fact promos. I'm voting for The Punjabi Nightmare.

Seriously can't believe this is so close

Dunno, seems like beating Lex Luger is "fair"......

Randy Savage would be on top, but Khali would be a special attraction in the States to get people into the building while Savage delivers the classic main event. Then, when I go to India, I'll have Khali challenge for my World Title whilst you continue to lose viewers pushing a guy that people despise down their throats not even knowing if he can play a proper singles heel yet. Maybe you will get lucky one day and he'll grow into the role? (For the record, I have no doubt I will one day vote Reigns on this question, but that day has not come yet. Once he "turns heel" and becomes cool, maybe people will turn him into a babyface they are willing to get behind. Until then, you only have potential and ring work to beat Khali, but if people don't want to see that ring work, it's worthless.) |
I would work out deals to get Khali in action movies as a "heavy" and then have celebrities show up at my shows in return, and one of my heels come out to threaten them because "they don't belong here." Then Khali comes out and chops the heel and everybody celebrates.
If you want to vote on Roman Reigns' potential, you have to vote on Khali's potential. Khali as Andre potential, in terms of presentation. He wouldn't be able to work as good as Andre on his best day, but does that matter to Hollywood? Evidently not. Does that matter to casuals? Only if you expose the giant. Braun is still really shit, but everybody is riding his dick because of how he is presented. Khali could be a chop. He realistically should only be beaten by a star whose work, promos and charisma can cancel out being one of the more populated countries in the world's national hero. |
Okay, first and foremost I assumed the "racist" thing was a joke but you're starting to make me wonder, dude. If you're seriously saying that people are racists over this then you're just being stupid. I'm gonna continue to assume you're joking though because you've always seemed smarter than that.
Anyway, you're making the assumption that I'd choose either of these guys if I was building my own promotion which I would not. If I absolutely had to pick one I'd pick Reigns because he has the potential to at least be semi-viable in the modern world. We saw Khali be used exactly as you're saying and it still flopped. He was in movies, and if you think Vince didn't get every movie role he could for the big oaf you're a fool. Hollywood just isn't interested in that either at this point. You're stuck in the past, Noid. You still seem to think that the old style of spectacle is something people care about and it's not. What you personally see as spectacle is a massive turn off to young people who are in fact the number one demographic at the moment. You ever wonder why the action stars of the 80s died out? There are still plenty of guys that fit that mold out there but people don't pay to see big muscular morons say one liners anymore. We live in a different age and the mentality you have is the same mentality that Vince has despite you often claiming to disagree with him. You could definitely use Khali a bit better than they did, but the end result would always be the same. As for your assertion that you could use him in India I again have to ask how often that would actually be of use. How often are you actually going to be in India as a global company? You're essentially saying that you'd build around a guy for one singular purpose and that's just ludicrous. Now having him around wouldn't be a terrible thing, but to actually put any major stock in him as a pillar of your company would be crazy. |
Oh, and on the topic of Braun I honestly haven't seen nearly as much positivity around him as you're claiming except online (particularly here.) It's actually sorta hilarious because the people who seem most behind him are the smarks who usually back the polar opposite of what Braun stands for.
That said Braun is 1000x greater than Khali ever was. I mean again, as I said about Roman, how good do you have to be to be better than a sentient scarecrow, but still he definitely is. Even in his prime Khali never showed me anything that was ever worth a damn. I will give him points for having an actually intimidating face though. That's one thing Braun seriously lacks. |

No, I'm not making that assumption -- I'm providing that as a potential tool for analyzing value. Deciding which of two talents is more valuable to a hypothetical wrestling promotion is definitely a viable method of determining who is the "Better Wrestler," since ultimately the dude you want to get is the better one. Did Khali flop? Really? Do you just mean critically among smark fans? When he lost the belt to Batista, ratings did go up, I'll give you that, but they were higher then than they are now. And this isn't Khali vs. Batista; it's Khali vs. Roman Reigns. Of course Khali was in movies -- that is what I am referencing. Why are you telling me things I do not know? He's got a very specific look, no shit, so there's only so many things he can do. But when he does them you promote them and you use them to generate money. If you don't, you're a fool. Isn't Roman Reigns basically Vince's attempt at an action hero? You want to tell me they're dying out? Fine, but don't defend then defend the action hero. Spectacle dying out might actually be what is wrong with professional wrestling today. That might be why fewer 18-49 year olds are watching, and why fewer kids, proportionately, are watching than ever before. Where are you getting this information that they are the #1 demographic? And where are you getting this information that they don't like watching giants chop things down? |

Personally, I think Vince's thought process that spectacles are still the way to go when finding draws in wrestling is right... His ability to build those spectacles up and present them properly is lacking though. |
Quote:
Brock and Goldberg are Vince's recent attempts at "spectacles." The Undertaker too. The guys that he only throws out there occasionally are the guys that are over. |
I wish I could've voted for Vacant.
