Alison said in an interview that she was trained by Chavo Guerrero for the wrestling parts and that all of the moves that are executed are suppose to be circa the mid-80s to ensure the correct time period & style. |
7 episodes into GLOW and it's pretty great. Really funny + likable characters....there is a scene in the 3rd episode where this character describes pro-wrestling and it's dead-on.

Seeing Kia Stevens makes me sad that her "run" in WWE had to be halted so abruptly when she was exactly what the Women's division needed in a time before the NxT callups.
Depending on how WWE views this show and how much they whore themselves out for just a smidge of mainstream media coverage they might be inclined to call her up and ask what her schedule looks like these days. Anyone know if she can still go or if those days are long gone? |

I have shown a bunch of friends,all of whom aren't wrestling fans,season 1. And all of them loved it. My lady,who might watch a match here and there with me,ended up watching all of season 1 in one evening. And has already asked for June 29th off so we can binge season 2.

disney severed the relationship. in order for the scripts to be green lit disney and netflix has to approvs them. disney wanted all shows on their platform so they starting being difficult to work with. not on netflix at all.

HEAR ME OUT! What if! Vince McMahon picks up GLOW and puts it on the WWE network? He has all the wrestling related shit bought already. He has the performance center. He has the movie production side of business. It's shouldnt cost Vince anywhere near what it would cost another network to produce the show because Vince already has most of the shit needed to produce a wrestling show. This seems like a win/win situation. This makes complete sense. Wait it's WWE. Nevermind. They never do shit that makes sense. |
