Think its just the thing Triple H mentioned months ago about rotating the Cruisers between RAW, 205 Live, and NXT so they all have something to do. Probably Perkins time for some NXT stuff.

slik 03-08-2017 08:42 PM

If he dabs I hope shinsuke kills him tbh

TJ is a good wrestler

slik 03-09-2017 12:29 AM

Until he quits the awful 'dabbing' gimmick I can't take him seriously

Juan 03-09-2017 12:40 AM

What do you have against dabbing?

slik 03-09-2017 12:42 AM

It's the dumbest trend of all-time

slik 03-09-2017 12:43 AM

+ "in real life" TJ Perkins is a "men's rights activist" so I just keep thinking "Giant Douche" when I watch him...usually I can separate that from the wrestler (I mean let's be honest, HBK is/was a giant asshole but I love HBK).

mitch_h 03-09-2017 12:46 AM

TJ Perkins sucks, he was also mean to my friend Justin back when he (Perkins) was Puma

Triple A 03-09-2017 01:21 AM

I think Ember Moon is the best women's wrestler!

I like Billie Kay and Peyton Royce also. I think they are good "characters"

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-09-2017 02:05 AM

Her finish is too dangerous. Has to be put to and end.

Emperor Smeat 03-09-2017 02:26 AM

Show was pretty good this week.

Billie Kay's injury when it happened didn't look as bad as reports implied. Seems like she simply jammed down too hard for the stunner part and not because of being out of position or Moon being wreckless with the motion.

Perkins-Nakamura was pretty good overall.

Has she injured anyone else with it?

Pretty much every taping they have an established CW guy down there. Its not out of the ordinary.

Don't think so but there was a big scare months ago with Daria Berenato. She wasn't in correct position and Moon couldn't do the move the normal way without possibly seriously injuring her.

Ended up looking more like a cutter than the usual stunner.

Just watched...... show seemed "acoustically off".....

Main event was enjoyable...... miss Corey Graves yelling "Kinsasha"........

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-09-2017 11:14 PM

Watched this late night before sleep. Skipped the main.

Juan 03-10-2017 04:11 AM

That'll show ' em

Emperor Smeat 03-10-2017 10:16 PM

Turns out the injury by Billie was fake and only meant for storyline reasons.

Thought it was "weird" that they didn't cut all that injury stuff out.......

Felt like it should have been removed way before they had an angle about an injury.

Don't like injury angles.

Shadrick 03-12-2017 05:12 PM

Shinsuke dabbing in mockery of perkins is the greatest thing in the history of our sport.

DAMN iNATOR 03-12-2017 09:55 PM

I finally got caught up on the latest show a couple days ago. I actually quite enjoyed Perkins and Nakamura. I'd never seen a Nakamura's match before, but now I can kinda see where the hype about him came from.

Lock Jaw 03-12-2017 10:40 PM

Something I have noticed with Nakamura is that he is "really bad" at "selling an injury"......

Gets his leg worked on, but then is "suddenly fine" and using it to kick/jump/etc. Like, not even a "hint" in his mannerisms that his "leg is hurt". He just went from his leg being "destroyed" one moment and "perfectly fine" the next. If he isn't going to actively sell the injury, at the VERY LEAST he could do a "I'm going to shake/stretch my leg out to signify it is now going to be fine".

Think I have noticed the same thing before in another match he had.......

Swiss Ultimate 03-13-2017 01:48 AM

RVD was good at selling that stuff.

Lock Jaw 03-13-2017 01:50 AM

RVD was still terrible, though.

DAMN iNATOR 03-13-2017 03:07 AM

Can't stop thinking the Kinshasa Knee Strike looks like a weird Sweet Chin Music/Zack Attack hybrid...

That one part is what I always think when I see him. The dab just punctuates it.

It's like he has Xavier Woods' gimmick, just with a corporate lens on it. So, instead of being like Woods, or Asuka who are wrestlers who are into gaming, he looks like Vince was like "HEY, THIS IS WHAT THE KIDS ARE INTO, RIGHT? VIDEO GAMES? FINE! GO BE LIVING VIDEO GAMES!" It's about as goofy looking as early 90's corporations adding absurdly corny rap, sunglasses, skateboards, and the word "EXTREME/X-TREME" or "2000" to advertising.

I thought you, as a fellow Asian man, loved the Asian verson of "Hulking Up" Ani.

O shit.... spot on :y:

Evil Vito 03-13-2017 02:39 PM

I love TJ Perkins' in ring work and he has an amazing theme. I just wish he would never tweet, cut a promo, or dab again.

But there is no "Hulking up"..... nothing to "signify a change"..... he just "suddenly is alright"......

Juan 03-13-2017 11:32 PM

Didn't realize people felt so strongly about dabbing

Lock Jaw 03-13-2017 11:35 PM

I think it is "good"... makes him "relatable" to "the kids" and gives them a "signature pose" to "copy" when he comes out.........

Lock Jaw 03-13-2017 11:35 PM

I hate the glasses, though.

I would rather actually hit smoking dabs than see people do the dancing one... and I don't smoke.

Tom Guycott 03-14-2017 12:06 AM

Shinsuke does kinda stop selling, but selling during the length of a match anymore is becoming a lost art. More people don't than do anymore. More about writers telling the stories with words (promos and announcers squabbling) than the wrestlers doing so with actions and such.

And he does everything else so goddamn well. I even find his disjointed promos oddly appealing- it doesn't so much seem like he has trouble speaking English as it just looks like forming words is physically painful for him to do. I'm sure that this totally looks like I'm slagging off on him, and I'm not. Its... different. It's more like a unique character tic than a detriment.

If Cena can get up from being dead on a bare floor for 9 seconds to beat a 10 count then rally and beat 3 men consecutively, nobody will honestly shed tears for Shinsuke's miraculous, Wolverine-like healing ability.
