X Pac was one of the most trusted workers in his time in WWE. He was literally the go to guy for new talent to be tested and joined the nWo as the guy to carry the workload. At his peak he was extremely popular too.

X-factor was abysmal, but nWo B was just as bad and did a ton of damage to the brand.

Norton had little to no personality and that's why he wasn't pushed. Big brawlers are cool to watch, but if all you can do is brawl, there is a ceiling to what you can achieve in the US.

I have said this before, but I had quite a few friends whose actual favourite in a peak era, was X-Pac. He was over, he was popular, he was part of two of the biggest groups in wrestling history and he had exciting matches at his peak.

X-Pac is the Limp Bizkit to Norton's Drowning Pool.

I remember the fluke win over Razor, the awesome title match with Bret, his reveal as Syxx, fun cruiser matches in WCW, his reveal as X-Pac, as a key guy in European title feuds (fond memories of that title), his tag team with Kane...sort of tails off after that, bar a few good IC matches.

Bob Sapp was a IWGP world champ, and Norton held the belt for a short time. He was always painted as a threat, but a "great", he wasn't.

Absolutely nothing wrong with rating him as a worker and enjoying what he did more, but it's in no way ridiculous to put Waltmans body of work up against his.

People comparing Sean Waltman to "any other top cruiserweight" should probably remember that he is a huge reason there are top cruiserweights in the first place. I haven't seen as much as Norton as I should have to make a properly informed decision -- I'd like to know just how much he drew in Japan as opposed to just how much he was used in a flourishing Japan. Luke Gallows was recently pushed as a tag team legend in Japan, and he's the drizzling shits.

Voted for X-Pac mainly for watching a lot more of his stuff and enjoying more of his moments. Also for him arguably helping play a big role in high flying style wrestling becoming popular in the WWE.

Bulk of Norton's best stuff happened in Japan which I've only seen very little while his WCW era he was either under-used or just came off as another typical big man. Did like how his version of the powerbomb looked very brutal at times especially with smaller guys.

How so? Even if we stick purely American here, Dynamite Kid was around long before he was and much more impressive and I don't think Waltman had any bearing on Heyman giving dates to Mexican cruisers and Japanese juniors before WWF and WCW saw how exciting they were and signed them.
