Don't know what that means yet, betting more in-ring dates than Brock but probably less than working every PPV.

He said Bryan was looking for about 60 dates a year.

So basically just TV and PPV's then some select live events.

I think this is fair. He was beat up even before getting put on ice and I imagine they're still gun-shy. No sense in putting him back in the daily circuit.

There is no way this is bad news. Good for Bryan. It must have been a surreal moment for him when he got the news, and I can just imagine how much joy someone would have had in getting to tell him.

The evil cynic in me is a bit annoyed we don't get that "moment" where he reveals that he's able to compete. Or he just does something physical and we're like "WHAAAAAA?!", but I wasn't watching anyway, so whatever. The emotional implications over this out-weigh storytelling conventions, I think.

So, so happy for him. I imagine it will be Owens & Zayn vs. Shane & Bryan. But maybe if Taker wants to sit out Mania, Bryan can accept the challenge of Cena instead. That would be a tremendous match. Whatever. My interest for Mania actually exists beyond the title matches now.

I imagine they will at least make him change his style a bit, to be a little safer. Bryan is such a good worker that it likely won't affect the quality of his matches

Really smart tactic by Bryan.

He took something WWE and/or Maroon likely didn't expect to actually work and turned it around against them. Left them with no real choice but to clear him especially after giving him more motivation when Angle got cleared.

I was thinking that too but then I realized that all he could get from traveling to Mexico or Japan, he can get in WWE. He can wrestle the best that Japan can offer in Nakamura, or he could raise the bar with someone like Andrade Almas and go ultra lucha to get his fix there. We also have several organic programs to pick up with like Triple H and Stephanie, John Cena, AJ Styles or Samoa Joe. But how about The Miz? I feel that this match could be huge if they gave it the right time to build on tv. How about the dream match of Kurt Angle vs Bryan?

Glad he has been cleared as I thought they were being unfair to him by not looking at all of his tests and progreas.

He should return if it is the right fit and the right way to make sure he is protected.

A match against Shane McMahon is not the right fit. He is not a fully trained and qualidied wrestler to carry somebody. Shane/dry vs. Zayn and Owens for Wm would work.

Well, the fact that he can spin it like that makes it okay.

You don't have Bryan lose. If the plan is to do the tag match, then you put Bryan over. I'm not entirely sure that they are going to go this exact route though. Something about just slipping Bryan into a tag with Shane against Owens & Zayn seems too convenient for them. I can see them making it harder for themselves.

One of the main reasons Nakamura came to WWE, was to face Daniel Bryan, and Bryan was one of the loudest voices in the push to sign him. Bryan had to retire a month after Shinsuke was signed.

Unfortunately, this is far and away the best response in this thread. I am actually quite surprised that not too many people in this thread have this opinion. While I’m obviously happy for Daniel Bryan, he’s really taking a major risk here. The optimist in me wants to compare this situation to HBK’s when HBK came back after a 4 year hitatus, but the neck and back are completely different things.

As a fan of the group that did that song and same-named album in 1986, EUROPE(from Stockholm, Sweden; has had 7 members in their history; were originally operating from 1982-1992, came back for a one-off on Dec. 31, 1999 with 6 members, and have had a stable lineup since their more permanent reunion in 2003(6 albums released since, ALL good music too)), that would be insane to hear THAT song on WWE Television, especially if they could get EUROPE(Joey Tempest on vocals, John Norum on guitars, John Leven on bass, Mic Michaeli on keyboards, Ian Haugland on drums) to perform that song live at WrestleMania, and over 75,000 loudly busting out the chorus to it....good GOD, that imagery in my head....holy shit! @.O

What's also good about that? EUROPE is a group who could allow such a performance to stay on the DVD/Bluray release of that Mania they'd perform at. They're more than willing to deal that way, because they absolutely love their fans, and want their fans, regardless of where they are in the world, to get everything they want like that.

I've been a fan of theirs since 1997, so I just know that by heart.

By the way, we are all overwhelmed with Bryan... I want to point out the levels that Sami Zayn portrayed last night. Being a bad guy isn't easy for him, and it showed. There was remorse and regret for what they had done. Even from Kevin but he had snapped and lost all control. Sami though, as evil as his actions were, knew that he had crossed the line and couldn't go back. The look on his face as they walked backstage was incredible. Sami is one of the best actors WWE has.

Personally I could care less if he ever wrestled again but seeing as they've heavily used him for this KO/Sami thing it works out. I just dread when they go to put the title on him again.

WWE title is pretty much the intercontinental title of old. It's credible, but you're the 2nd in command if you hold it.
