This is the official thread for the 3 or 4 of us who are going to discuss this show tonight! Awesome tag main event! NJPW in USA, here we go!

The show will air live on AXS TV at 8PM ET for those in the U.S. while international audiences can watch it live on NJPW World. Those in the US can also check it out on NJPW World on VOD after the event airs.

On too late for me, but I might catch a replay tomorrow.

Card isn't amazing outside of the main event.

Well to start I'm kind of annoyed that the show is on AXS because I don't have cable so I'll have to stream it, sure there won't be a problem but I pay for New Japan World and haven't used it since 1/4, just like last year.

You're right it's not amazing but it could be a sleeper, there are some really great workers on the card. I personally haven't watch ROH steadily for years so seeing some guys like Daniels and Kazarian, I haven't seen them wrestle in like 5 years. Also I'm really into the Hangman Page vs Jay White match and hoping that Page goes over. I like his promo's and look, he could be a big deal. Kind of reminds me of AWA Curt Henning. And as for Jay White, I want him to do well, I don't fully believe in him but I'm hoping he pulls out an incredible performance.

Also the big tag match with Okada and Ishii vs Zack Sabre and Suzuki is exciting, just to see how those stories will progress.

The main event is so so for me, I don't care for the Bucks but, I know that they have the ability and likelihood to totally change my mind. Mostly I'm just excited to see something new. This is NJPW's US product so I am excited to see how it feels like on the air.

Its getting 4 hours. Wish it started at 7

I'll be watching but probably not live.

If its anything like the last one there won't be a lot of commercials they only did them between matches.

Whats the story behind Cody and Marty vs G.O.D.?

Didn't know anything about it either. As I want Tama Tonga to crash the Omega/Cody match at Supercard of Honor and take sole leadership of Bullet Club, I hope this match plants the seeds.

Yeah. Losing Rey vs Liger was a big blow considering the reaction the announcement generated. Also didn't help this show didn't have any real time for focus because it was squished in between two bigger events for NJPW.

Wait I can't watch on NJPW World until after the show is done? God dammit.

I guess people don't watch NJPW on Fridays on AXS as everyone's pissed at it being JR and Barnett

Original plan supposedly was just to be on New Japan World for the US but AXS TV managed to convince NJPW to make it a live event exclusive to them.

The arena looks good. They can double this easy next time.

Really good opener. All 6 guys are great workers and got to shine a little bit.

Lots of smarks bitching about Jr and Barnett on commentary for the show tonight, but I'd rather listen to Ross half know a product than Kelly's child like voice and Don's constant attempts at self validation.

Wonder how much money Yano makes from his constant hawking of DVD merch.

Archer singlely looks like James Storm and Elias

If Chuckie T would get on the gas he might find himself higher up the card about everywhere. Reminds me of Sami Zayn.

Liger-Ospreay match was good.

Biggest weakness of this show so far has been the camerawork and production. Not as terrible as last year when ROH was solely in charge of it.

I liked Liger and Ospreay. Ospreay is one of the best in the world.

I don't think anyone has wrestler harder and as well as Liger. Crazy. Taker would be close but he doesn't wrestle as often.

I'm pumped for this tag match right here. All the matches left actually but I am excited to see ZSJ to do some cool stuff.

Next event being at the Cow Palace this July is interesting since it seats around 11k for wrestling.

Could seat even more seeing as NJPW doesn't go all out on a stage.

What a beautiful powerbomb from Hangman. My all time favorite move.

White vs Hangman Page was good.

Started off really slow but got better the longer it went on.

Pages neck is half mush

It was a really good match. Jay White is getting it and Hangman is really good. Reminds me of Curt Henning and Bobby Roode.

Good US Championship match. Both those guys getting gimmicks helped them out a bunch.

NJPW should have renamed this show as Spit Style Evolved with all the spitting being done tonight.

Bucks vs Golden Lovers was fantastic.

4 hour 15 minute show blew by but really just the last 2 matches were above ok

Crazy main event. Good show all around.

I tuned in for the last 10 min...arena/production looked 'cool' on tv...reminded me of vintage WCW (in a good way).

The first couple of matches were enjoyable and I had them on in the background
Paying attention to this match though. Scurll and Cody are both good.

That main event was terrific. I was half expecting ZSJ/Suzuki V Okada/Is hi I would steal the show, but the in bring storytelling of that main event was wonderful.

Pretty bleh show. 3.5/10.

That and the wobbly hand and refusing to do the V-Trigger until Ibushi talked him into it were my favourite moments. And the cliff hanger at the end, wow

Omega might have legit oribital bone damage that he talked about after the match. Has no vision problems though, so might still make Supercard of Honor.

I think he should do it in a mask.

Also want to mention how awesome Cody is lately. He's one of the best storytellers there is right now. If he ever ends up back in WWE, he will be an ace.

DAT ENDING

Watched the main event tag. Really liked it. Great storytelling. A couple of awkward spots early but it either was done for the purpose of Kenny and Ibushi being a bit "off" because Omega didn't want to hurt the injured Jackson brother.... or they were legit bungled and it fortuitously played nicely into a match. Botches don't always hurt if you play them off right, and I'd say they did.


Only actual gripe with the match was it essentially turned into a WCW vs NWO Revenge for N64 match. Young Bucks kicked out of absolutely retarded offence. But it built up so nicely to the one-winged angel, and then the double V-Trigger that I can't nitpick too much.
