This might be the first time in a long while where WWE's laziness in building a card actually helped a lot more than hurt.

With the exception of the IC and US belts, all the other matches for Mania are fresh because WWE avoided having those pairings just wrestle against each other countless times for the build.

I don't know man--it's a pretty great package for putting extra major heat on Hunter and Steph and it's no where near as egregious as the 20 minute in-ring promo would have been.

If WWE was smart, they'd have the Cruiser title open up Mania and not on the pre-show. Just 10-15 minutes of them going all out to pump up the crowd for the rest of the show.

Last year's Cruiser match was one of the best one the card but WWE foolishly put it in front of an almost non-existent crowd.
