Tons of relationships in the entertainment industry are in reality contracts, used for PR/Publicity. That's one of the oldest tricks in Hollywood's books.

That practice started decades ago to help hide closeted actors from being non-bankable stars -- was adapted by many straight actors as well. Any celeb couple you see covered by US Weekly, People, etc. is likely more for 'branding' than a actual relationship (mostly).

It's pretty much how Taylor Swift stays in gossip magazines/pop culture when she isn't making 'meh' pop songs.

I wonder if the WWE would allow The Miz to comment on this? Last year, Cena and Bella absolutely buried The Miz and Maryse in a scathing one-sided promo. The WWE loves worked-shoots and so I do wonder if they would choose to go this route.

I don't really like to comment on the personal lives of wrestlers (I suppose I am like Luigi, a fan for over 20 years, in that regard), but the stories that have just inevitably become public about how he's not in a good position with money -- especially given he is still the WWE's biggest star and that he's breaking out in Hollywood -- are just...unbelievable. He doesn't seem as on top of the world as he should. Hopefully he has some fun, unwinds and conquers himself again.

Maybe Elias got his payback by getting Nikki to take a walk with him.

lol maybe a less crass version of this could be correct. The Hollywood stuff may have opened his eyes and he wants to branch out. Not just with the ladiesssSSSss but perhaps in some way, he felt Nikki was holding him back, and he wants to start a new life.

Thank you for the heads up and yes I've noticed that. I don't mind it actually as I'm sure many posters on here have become friends, and so conversations often extend beyond wrestling, but I do try and take a hard stance to objectionable content. I fail to see the humour in posters speculating that John Cena got dumped due to having a small ***is. That sort of stuff doesn't belong on the boards in my opinion, but I've also been attacked in the private message area by certain posters for complaining about things like this.

The common theme about the couple was Nikki being the aggressive one on wanting to progress their relationship and Cena being the most resistant. In hindsight, Nikki should have never pushed for the proposal to happen at Mania since it put too big of a spotlight on Cena and him never being honest about it.

Probably also didn't help Cena was supposedly burning through a lot of his money because he never changed his spending habits and likely saw it as an easy way to keep Nikki preoccupied.
