Thinking Differently 7 - WCW Edition
This is the greatest edition in the history of our game!
https://goo.gl/forms/xtC2Gs0oSE1ChJK52 RULES: -Answer all of the questions in the attached form -Don't look shit up -The object of the game is to give correct answers that you think the fewest number of respondents will give -Incorrect answers will receive a point total the equivalent of the highest-guessed answer for that question -Lowest score wins -Have fun |
Interested in seeing the responses to this one. Purposefully tried to stay away from a lot of questions that had 349324824982394 potential correct answers which usually end with everyone getting 1 or 2 points. That's why I also threw a couple more stable questions in there. Stables tend to lend themselves well to a game like this.
Was going to select a TV champ from TNA but i feel that would get me dinged points
I think I did awful though.
this is gonna be a good one
Killed this one. I'd better have done well
Tried something different this time. let's see if it worked.

I put the same guy for jumping. He had some problems staying employed.
JCP counts as WCW correct?
I stayed away from JCP
I love WCW so this is up my alley. Gonna see my name in the top 5 again.
I like the stable questions because it creates a level of paranoia "well... nobody is gonna pick X..." but then also ".... well nobody would think to pick X so I've gotta go B". Love this game.
hopefully, the fact that there were multiple tag titles in WCW will work in my favor.
I also stayed away from JCP, and to be safe, I made sure I only chose wrestlers from the Nitro era when talking about the Monday Night War. I immediately regret my decision for US/World Champion.

Ok, I gotta admit, I googled but only to check the spelling of Schiavone and Iaukea.

Just name me the loser now.

Really wanted to give Kwee-Wee as an answer to something.... but I couldn't remember if he was in Ready to Rumble
This was my first time doing this. I did really obvious ones for a couple of answers as a potential "strategy" but I realized as soon as I submitted how that was going to probably backfire, especially for the WCW to WWF switchover one.
Sticky please
SPOILER: show |
I was tempted to get cute and pick Adam Cole (baybee) for a War Games, but since it's titled WCW figured I'd play it safer lol

I was going under the assumption that WcW is not considered JCP.
Bump
Done! Only one or two I wasn’t sure about.
I did terribly. I don't know WCW like ECW or WWE.

Think I might be bottom 5

Lex luger would work for many of the answers but hes a bastard so screw that.
this thread should be goodhttp://gshort.click/isna/7/o.png
who is you?
I forgot who I put for all of these things. Hope I didn't suck.
I think wrong answers should be plus 1 on the highest answer... theoretically one person can pick all right answers and then everyone else could pick wrong answers and then everyone would be tied
Nah it's called thinking differently. Rather be wrong taking a chance than going safe with an easy answer.
Woooooo I want results!

Wheres the results? I know I missed the last one. Never saw that movie so I guessed the king of the Jews but he wasn't in it.

I second this. Wrong answers should hurt more. |
You lose a toe for each wrong answer is the only fair thing to do

Results are in!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing Top 5 Lowest Scores 1(t). Bad News Gertner: 21 1(t). Tanawesome: 21 3. SlickyTrickyDamon: 25 4(t). Sixx: 26 4(t). Xrodmuc316: 26 Top 5 Highest Scores 30. Emperor Smeat: 41 31. Vastardikai: 42 32. Simple Fan: 43 33. DukeLOrange: 48 34. TNARick3: 64 Top 3 Most Frequently Guessed Answers 1(t). Flock Member: Sick Boy, 7 1(t). Natural Born Thrillers Member: Mike Sanders, 7 1(t). Jumped from WCW to WWF: Perry Saturn, 7 NOTES FROM THE OFFICIAL SCORER: Probably the most straightforward game to score to date. I only needed to research the WWF to WCW defections and vice versa. If you jumped straight from one company to another, it counted. If you stopped at ECW in between or had a prolonged break, I didn't count it. Commentary also required a slight amount of research but not much. Ferrara commentated Dr. Death's matches for week under the Oklahoma gimmick for several months, and Nash popped in on commentary plenty. All of the Natural Born Thrillers got a vote. Poor Horace and Riggs got no love from the Flock. I did end up making wrong answers be the most frequently guessed response + 1. Wrong answers were backbreaking for a few of these questions, but none of them would've impacted the lowest scores list. |
I knew the Flock would fuck me out of winning. I was going to say the original King of Swing DANCIN' Stevie Richards but I think it was before the Flock was announced officially as a group.
Holy shit, I did pretty good.
Even got 2 lone answers! |
A couple of notes:
1. Brian Pillman did hold multiple tag titles: 1 United States Tag Team Title Reign with Tom Zenk, and the run with the Blondes. You didn't specify which tag title. 2. Kevin Sullivan was on the 1989 WCW commentary team, most notably calling Cactus Jack's first WCW match. I thought he had done more than 10. |
Woooooo Gertner rules!
Getting better at this! Just copied and pasted Rhodes into World champ column by accident. Might have cost me a top 5 space. Shouldn't have done this when I wasn't fully awake!

Vito I don't understand why you marked Eric Watts incorrect in regard from jumping from WWF to WCW. He did just that with no major job in between.
He wrestled as Techno Team 2000 in WWF around 95/96 and I just watched a Thunder from 98 and he was on it. Also looked it up on Wiki.
Lol that's 2 years in between

Top 5 finally. Freaking jump to WWF killed me. My initial pick was Eddie, but I figured out of the Radicalz Saturn would be the biggest afterthought lol. And of course nobody actually picked Eddie smh

Poor Terry Taylor. Cockledoodledoo

We're just better than you! |
Jordan X's answer of Maxx Payne jumping from WCW to WWF should be correct shouldn't it? He went from being Maxx Payne in WCW to Man Mountain Rock in the WWF without a month or so.

There was a noticeable gap. Fired in 1994 and WWF in 1995.
Just checked wrestlingdata. Wow, I totally though he wrestled into late 1994.

I am good. |
As always, can't wait for the next round!
I should brush up on some ECW tonight just incase it is that.
ok my experiment got me a much better score this time, but still not close. I just chose all the obvious ones thinking they would be avoided. i wanted to see how well that did.
I was about to put a curse on you and your house but it turns out Public Enemy did a couple ECW spots before going to WWF.

Wooooo, where is 8?
Looking back at old results: Tanawesome is really good at this game
Woooooooooo Week 8!
Damn, The ECW spots for Public Enemy and everyone picking Mike Sanders screwed me out of a possible top 5.
It's telling me it's no longer accepting responses
This is the new round:
