Yeah. Which wouldn't be that crazy if they hadn't just gone through the effort to make Nia Jax a face and taken the belt off the top heel of the division. If Rousey wins, it would have made way more sense to just have her take it from Bliss. Especially since Nia is kinda sloppy in the ring. If she loses... then... Well, that's just fucking weird.

I guess they'll probably just go non-finish to build a different feud for Rousey. Either way, this all seems ridiculously too early and rushed but that's kinda WWE in a nutshell.

Again, this is why i made the thread saying you do the double witch between Nia and Alexa at WM. Having this match with both as face, or having this match with anything but Nia being heel, makes no sense. WWE creative is literally tanking there own product and shitting on the wrestling business. And i'm kind of rooting for WWE to be canceled and not picked up by major networks. Probably wont happen, but they really deserve it because they're being run by fucking monkeys apparently.

I saw this thread yesterday and thought it was just a what if thread. but just read the news page and saw it's actually real. I haven't watched in a week or so. is this a real feud or did they just throw this together?

Makes zero sense to me because Nia is supossed to be the anti bullying babyface and you're throwing her against the cool babyface. what is happening here.

They just threw it together and the only sense I can make of it is Rousey being a draw. Jax should be heel as RP suggested.

This is the appropriate way to use a classic line.

Way too early for Ronda to get a title shot unless WWE wants to pull a Lesnar with her as champion. That would hurt RAW's women's division a lot more than Lesnar as Universal champ since at least the men have other belts for feuds and matches on RAW.

Even a screwy finish to prevent Ronda from winning the title now likely will hurt more than it helps.

Triple A is gonna flip out at the thought of Nia recklessly tossing Ronda on her head and ending her career.

I had a random thought: Given that Nia has reportedly played the nepotism card to get more opportunities in NXT, given her random absence a while back (she says injury...ok), her inability to deal with fans on Twitter, and her general suck levels -- I wonder if Nia has decided this isn't for her? Am I being too hopeful?

If she said to Vince "You know what? I'm a few years in and I just don't get this. I'm going to go and start playing netball or designing plus-sized bathing suits," they may have sped up plans to get the belt off her and move Ronda into star position. This would be compounded by the "Fuck, our television sucks, so how do we appeal to USA" predicament.

Crowd was loving Ronda.

I'm loving Ronda, and her shit looks great, but you can already see the patterns developing. How many times are people going to be able to see that before it's not special?

There was a lot of her clearly anticipating the next spot, which was awkward. She should be fine though.

I don't like it for lots of reason

1. Ronda is to new, feels rushed
2. Why give Ronda her first shot at a B PPV, at least wait til Summerslam
3. Nia is horrible in the ring, Ronda should be in there was Ring Generals
4. Isn't Nia supposed to be the Be a Star babyface? So either fans back her and you already put Ronda on the Roman Boo Path, or...
5. You are already giving up on Nia as a face, in which case why the fuck did you move Asuka to Charlotte and end her streak. I don't swear often, but that is the most shortsighted booking maybe ever.
6. In all likelihood this is probably gonna be a cop out finish to protect Ronda but keep the belt with Nia, and haven't we seen enough of that with A.J. and Shinsuke already.
7. Do they really want to follow-up the Horrible Backlash PPV with another badly booked show that only accomplishes letting the fans down
8. Vince is worth like $2billion now, not that it has anything to do with this match specifically, but he probably listens to anybody else's opinion now less than ever before so he might actually have Roman save Ronda from something, cause gotta get Roman over

I thought the same of Bobby Lashley, although his might be because his sisters got him drunk and had laser hair removal performed on his bikini area cause "love my family, pranksters!", causing his trunks to slip up his skin more easily.

WWE should rebrand her as Slobbersaurus Jax and get with the Jurassic World marketing team to promote the movie

Personally I'd have Nia beat her clean and quick.

Turn Rousey's story into one where everyone assumed she'd come in and clean up but actually the WWE is tougher than it looks. Spend the next year having her build her way up and start to show her "natural talent". Gives her some more natural feuds, stops it being as predictable and prevents the WWEs natural instinct to feed midcarders to people they want to build by putting her into stories where there can be actual competition and the occasional loss.

Not going to happen though.

Nah. The appeal of Rousey is that she's already credible. Intentionally ruining that credibility just to try to build her back up defeats the whole purpose of signing her in the first place. Not to mention leaving it up to WWE's writers to build someone up as credible is just a REALLLLY bad idea.

That's Awesome Kong (TNA ring name), aka Kharma as she was known in WWE. She beat up a few divas and gave like one promo where she basically said she was pregnant but wanted to compete in WWE, which never happened. A while later she ended up in GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) where she had the "Welfare Queen" gimmick that STD joked about. I've never seen any of her stuff aside from the millisecond she was in WWE, so I couldn't tell you what it was about.

I didn't say they WOULDN'T do it. It would just be silly to do it. But let's not pretend that Brock losing in a match he dominated to Cena is remotely the same as Rousey getting squashed by Nia Jax.

Rousey should just make everyone she faces submit and also carry their arms over her shoulders during every entrance.
