Was cool.... definitely had to go to YouTube and check it out instead of this weird Twitter aspect ratio....

Lock Jaw 01-15-2019 10:53 AM

Nick Fury all of a sudden in every movie now

Kalyx triaD 01-15-2019 11:06 AM

Zendaya is fine as fuck.

Seanny One Ball 01-15-2019 12:26 PM

She ain't Laura Harrier though.

El Vaquero de Infierno 01-15-2019 12:38 PM

Tru dat.

ClockShot 01-15-2019 01:20 PM

So, he makes it out of Endgame alive.

That's swell.

RP 01-15-2019 01:34 PM

Marisa Tomei is forever bangable. She'll be fuckable 20 years from now.

Also I want to create a new women's fragrance called Forever Bangable.

I mean, the movie was announced before Infinity War came out, so....... we all knew he was surviving.....

RP 01-15-2019 01:41 PM

Is it possible it's set to be before Infinity Wars and End Game?

Well it's possible but I doubt the MCU is going to keep pushing that prequel button after Cpt Marvel and with Black Widow later on. But it is possible. It's been two years since Civil War so this movie could end with Peter seeing that space shit a day after he returns home.

Sixx 01-15-2019 04:15 PM

I very much doubt it. Seeing how cool May is with him being Spiderman in this one?

Nah, he came back. Everyone came back somehow.

Shadow 01-15-2019 04:19 PM

Well...we don't know that. So I'm excited for this, how bout you guys?

Sixx 01-15-2019 04:25 PM

Sure as fuck ain't a prequel.

Fuck your theories, bitches!

Sixx 01-15-2019 04:32 PM

Anyway, cool suit for Mysterio.

Sixx 01-15-2019 04:33 PM

Hope they give him his proper powers.

Otherwise, it's a waste.

Sixx 01-15-2019 04:36 PM

Maybe those "elementals" are all an illusion and he creates them to defeat them for profit.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Also, Spider-man was never going to stay dead, are you kidding me?

Btw, no, Zen got her by a margin.

Seanny One Ball 01-15-2019 08:31 PM

Laura Harrier is the second best looking woman in the entire Marvel universe/multiverse so far. Elizabeth Olsen first. If Deadpool counts then I also liked Zazie Beetz, even with her Bella Thorne pit hair.

Famous women are doing that again. I blame Miley Cyrus.

RP 01-15-2019 09:21 PM

I really think this is a prequel.

Too many characters in this movie for it not to be a prequel.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-16-2019 12:36 AM

Looks like a blast. Love the theme music.

Feels likely to me. Remember, these are comic book movies. Comics do that shit all the time; telling stories that happened before, after, and at the same time as other stories. They "kinda" count every Hulk movie as canon to what Bruce has done even though they all aren't explicitly in the MCU. The Netflix shows are all perpetually in a nebulous time period following the events of Avengers but before everything else.

Movies don't have to release in a hard chronological order. Making Spider-Man a direct sequel Homecoming makes more sense than trying to wrap brains around the events of Infinity War and reconciling that.

Also, haha Venom-less black suit.

Kalyx triaD 01-16-2019 07:46 AM

Color scheme is more 'Ultimate' to me.

So have you ever read anything with Mysterio in it? He's all stage magician with no actual powers. Probably gonna go that route so sadly we won't see Hydro, Sand or Molton Man proper for a bit.

Also fuck anyone who says this is set before Infinity Wars.

Seanny One Ball 01-16-2019 05:20 PM

Seems harsh

Yes, I have, you tit.

By powers I mean his talent for creating illusions. This trailer makes it look like he's just another dude in a cool ass suit that lets him fly and shit like that.

Also the line "So have you ever read anything with Mysterio in it?" makes you look like such an uptight nerd. Like "all you people that don't know exactly what this character is are beneath me". Sends shivers down my spine.

Get laid.

Seanny One Ball 01-16-2019 05:31 PM

Your follow up post was about illusions so Shadow has tripped over himself in taking that nerd-swipe.

It's fairly obvious what you meant.

Guess he was so outraged he had to reply immediately, without reading the rest of the thread. He couldn't keep reading so he grabbed his toy Mjolnir and smashed his Loki doll.

It's after. Marvel already said that the first movie after Endgame needed to be a "normal human". Someone the audience can relate to and bring them back to Earth so to speak.

Everyone settle down. Either way, life will go on.

lol no it's not. Antman and the Wasp took place before Infinity War. Captain Marvel takes place in the 90's.

One more movie doesn't turn it into a complex algebra problem.

XL 01-17-2019 08:20 AM

The timeline issue arose because of the last Spider-Man movie.

The only “issue” I have is showing Fury in the trailer. They could have kept his fate under wraps until after Endgame.

Lock Jaw 01-17-2019 09:50 AM

We also now know that Flash Thompson survives Endgame too!!!!!

A.J.K 01-17-2019 10:45 AM

I like that they chose Mysterio.

The next one i hope has Kingpin or The Hobgoblin.

This! I've always been sad that due to the feud going on between Marvel's live action divisions they couldn't use Kingpin but if they can resolve their differences and bring in D'Onofiro, I'll be so happy.

Though he did decapitate a Russian with a car door so.....

Vastardikai 01-18-2019 09:18 AM

Honestly, Fishbowl Head is the perfect villain and puts everything else we see in doubt.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-18-2019 12:15 PM

Can Marvel films not use the Netflix roster? That'd be a bummer as I feel kingpin should be their endgame. Although his story was wrapped up rather nicely in S3 Daredevil, and he'd of course be toned quite a bit from a violence standpoint.

Jake Gyllenhall rumored to play Batman in DC's Bat-Reboot

Hmmm, this means the villain of the 3rd Tom Holland Spidey film has to be Val Kilmer, Ben Affleck, Clooney or Bale.

Not buying that rumor.

RP 01-18-2019 04:04 PM

I love Gyllenhall. I just dont love him as Batman. I would love to see a smaller name as Batman.

RP 01-18-2019 04:04 PM

Unless Bale comes back. And i doubt that unless Nolan is coming back.

Seanny One Ball 01-18-2019 05:23 PM

Is it going to be a guy around Affleck's age? I'd screen test Karl Urban for it.

slik 01-19-2019 06:43 AM

No, it will take place when Bats was younger/not great at being Batman yet supposedly.

Rumored villains are The Court Of Owls (which I would love, they're a secret cult in Gotham who wear creepy owl masks and are wealthy af) and The Penguin

SPOILER: show

"Beware The Court of Owls, that watches all the time,
Ruling Gotham from a shadow perch, behind granite and lime.

They watch you at your hearth, they watch you in your bed,
Speak not a whispered word of them or they'll send The Talon for your head."

Seanny One Ball 01-19-2019 11:05 AM

That sounds like every second Netflix horror film nowadays.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-20-2019 10:56 PM

After watching the Daredevil and Punisher series, can't help but wonder what a Batman series with the same tone would do. It would definitely be fun.

That did, I really Armie Hammer as the next Batman. He's handsome as fuck, he's big, and he's young enough to be the character over the next decade worth of films.

Seanny One Ball 01-21-2019 10:13 AM

Armie Hammer as Batman would be a terrible mistake.

Lock Jaw 01-21-2019 10:29 AM

Henry Cavill for Batman

Seanny One Ball 05-06-2019 10:59 AM

Jake Gyllenhaal is great, I hope this is a bit darker than Homecoming.

slik 05-06-2019 10:59 AM

Looks good

Rammsteinmad 05-06-2019 11:15 AM

A multiverse could be their way of continuing the bigger franchises like Iron Man with new actors.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-06-2019 11:40 AM

I dare say the multiverse is how they'll introduce X-Men, Fantastic 4, etc into the MCU. I just hope that it doesn't become a shit show like the various timelines, etc messed with X-Men.

Kalyx triaD 05-06-2019 02:24 PM

It's almost cerrainly a way to get X-Men in there, and Miles for that matter.

If Beck us telling the truth, anyway.

I mean he's totally the bad guy, right?

Fignuts 05-06-2019 04:21 PM

One would naturally assume that he’s lying, because everything about Mysterio is a lie, but it’s such a convenient way of introducing the x-men.

Kalyx triaD 05-06-2019 05:08 PM

It would be extremely convenient for a guy like Mysterio to take advantage of the fact that another world doesn't know he's a villain. I'm gonna lean toward the dimensional rift being real since Fury would make sure to verify at least that claim. So Beck could be from an alternate Earth, but he has too much history as a fraud if not dangerously vain.

Then there's the fact of other heroes which, yeah, would be an easy in for the X-Men and especially the FF who always deal with alternate dimensions. I wonder if Mysterio dealt with his own Spider-Person.

Big Vic 05-06-2019 05:20 PM

Glad Mysterio is finally getting some play, I always liked him in the cartoons/games.

Fignuts 05-06-2019 05:22 PM

I still like my idea for introducing the FF by having their movie set in the 60's. Annihilus is the villain, and they trap themselves in the negative zone in order to stop him.

At some point during the next Avengers movie they come back to the present.

Kalyx triaD 05-06-2019 06:09 PM

So the black and red Spider-Man suit...

I don't think that's Peter Parker.

That would seem logical, but then, the Scrulls were good guys in Captain Marvel. So I guess anything could happen.

Damian Rey 2.0 05-07-2019 12:41 AM

Woo loved the trailer! The multiverse thing is interesting and yes, I think it'll lead to X-Men, FF, etc. I disagree with Kalyx, I do think it's Peter in the red and black suit.

eh, there have been good skrulls in the comics, and at the end of the day, the skrulls do what they do for the good of their people.

Mysterio on the other hand, is a complete fucking scum bag.

I thin Kalyx has the right of it with the dimensional tears being real, but Mysterio lying and taking advantage of it for his own gain.

Regardless, they'd better have a good explanation for why Fury is fooled though

XL 05-07-2019 10:53 AM

Shouldn’t the thread title say “SPOILERS INSIDE”?

Seanny One Ball 05-07-2019 02:31 PM

Nobody has posted open spoilers that I can see. All I see is speculation and a post that begins with a warning not to open the video unless you have seen Endgame. I will tag the title closer to the opening date on July 2nd.

Fury is only going to have so much info on a guy from a different universe tho, right? This is the same guy who didn't know his firm had been infiltrated by hydra.

Rammsteinmad 07-03-2019 10:06 AM

I saw it yesterday but couldn't be bothered to post until it was acceptable to talk openly without having to spoiler tag everything.

Absolutely loved it though. Mysterio was fantastic and tied in very well with past events in the MCU, and the mid-credits scene is probably the ultimate fan-service Marvel could have done. Loved it!

slik 07-03-2019 05:34 PM

I loved it.

Actually felt like a Spider-Man comic. Mysterio was great, Ned was great, MJ was great, Happy & May were great.

Rammsteinmad 07-03-2019 05:37 PM

I just realized that scene in the trailer with the "I'm too busy doing your job" to the cops wasn't in the film.

Grrr why do Marvel keep doing that.

Damian Rey 2.0 07-03-2019 06:33 PM

Loved it as well. Was hilarious. Loved the mid credits scene so much. Mysterio was great. And man, Marisa Tomei is still smoking.

That mid credit scene where Happy and Peter are in the shower together and they start batting there cocks against eachother, was intense. I didnt see that coming.

Rammsteinmad 07-05-2019 07:27 AM

SPOILER: show
JK Simmons playing J. Jonah Jameson again is fucking amazing and is probably one of the biggest fan services the MCU has/can deliver. I hope we see more of it in future movies.

Lock Jaw 07-05-2019 07:49 PM

Just saw it....

SPOILER: show
I thought it was pretty great. Biggest gripe is I am the opposite of whoever said they were liking Zendaya as MJ..... feel like her and Peter had very little chemistry together.... feel like this should have been a movie where they slowly realize they have feelings for each other, and not just starting the movie with "Ok, Peter loves a different girl from the first movie now".

Loved Mysterio and his effects. I did think the big reveal/heel turn was a bit.... I dunno... monologue-y when he was just explaining everything in the bar, but it was cool the callbacks to the other former Stark employees....

Mid-credits scene was "dope", as the kids would say. Great to see JK Simmons as Jonah again, slightly weird that he was bald, but I guess they wanted to "differentiate" him a bit at least. Pretty game-changing at the end there with Peter's identity exposed... wonder how this is gonna play out!

I enjoyed the tour around Europe as I got to play the “I’ve been there” game (for Venice, Prague, and London at least) and let’s face it we’ve seen New York in 6 previous Spider-Man movies, and numerous other MCU movies.

Destor 07-08-2019 05:30 PM

It could be a thousand times and Spider-Man would still fell right being in New York.

Or maybe next time they can vacation to the moon.

XL 07-08-2019 05:38 PM

Well the rumours are Phase 4 goes “cosmic”.

Destor 07-08-2019 05:54 PM

The director wants Kraven for Spidey 3 so somehow i dont think its going to be very cosmic

Lock Jaw 07-08-2019 06:51 PM

Kosmic Kraven
