WWE Smackdown on FOX Live Thread 10/18
 

There was a draft last week from what I read, Eric Bischoff is gone and it’s now the Bruce Prichard era. I’m thinking this week will be focused on the viewers getting used to the new roster and trying to find the right rhythm to help move the show forward from here on out. I’m not sure if any matches have been announced yet.

When I think of Nakamura's style, it wasn't his grapple-based skills that made him hugely popular or great.

It's 43 inch 4k...good enough for console gaming. The other TVs would take too much space.

Looks pretty good overall. I only own the Final Fight machine from Arcade 1UP but have been looking at several other ones from them.

How good is the Rampage machine? I've been considering getting one for a while but been a bit wary because of the supposed quality issues Arcade 1UP's gen 1 machines have.

Rampage is kinda crap on the joy sticks. There were no pre drilled holes to attach the 4 holders so I had to guestimate when drilling those holes. It was marked down to $154 so oh well.

Gable being called "Shorty Gable" has been such a terrible idea and all because Vince finds it hilarious that he's not tall.

I might pick up Golden Tee this weekend...a town about 20 miles away has it /w the riser for $200.

I'll eventually find a SFII again at the $154 price to mod.

Oh that sounds pretty bad. Only got the Final Fight machine because I liked all the games offered and the changes made to improve the quality like a protective board art cover and better pre-assembly done.

Turtles was by far the easiest to put together. Their quality control is def getting better.

If its anything more then 2.5 million give or take, doubt next week's SD is going to set the record.

i would say a playoff game or maybe a nascar race.

8-man tag was pretty good overall.

Can't tell if WWE actually got really lucky with having a string of hot crowds in a row for SD or doing a little crowd noise pumping on the side. If they really are pumping in some noise, its a lot less noticeable than in the past.

Well you guys. Smackdown is a show. That's about all I can say for it.

Fox doing Smackdown no favors tonight. Smackdown is probably the 4th most interesting thing on Fox channels right now. Ohio State game, baseball playoffs, and of course Simpsons reruns giving WWE a run for their Fox money.

Guess what guys. Corbin gonna pin someone to win this match.

Baring how the main event goes down, SD's 2nd hour has been pretty boring and dull compared to the first hour.

Main event tag match was pretty good overall.

Smackdown was average at best overall. Only real bright side since the FOX move is commentary being more bearable because Graves can't constantly bicker anymore.

I'd give tonight's show 3 Titus entrance flops out of 5.

Kendrick vs. Gallagher on 205 Live was meh. Really dumb idea to have a very slow paced match to start off the show considering the brand's struggles with crowd reactions.

One of the Singh Bros gyrating in front of a bunch of kids after the match sort of feels like the thing that probably would get you placed on a watchlist afterwards.

One of the only benefits of SD being live on Friday is possibly attendance being better since a Friday night is better especially for families with kids

Yikes at the boring chants for this 3-way match between Oney, Nese, and Daivari.

Can't blame the crowd since this week's 205 Live show hasn't been good at all. Might be the legit worst one this year.

She needs to come out with the pick-axe from last week for all her matches from now on and just murder every opponent she faces. #AxeMurdererBayley

I don't remember Turtles in Time being an Arcade, great game though. Rampage and MKII are both classics.

It seems they went with the old “non-finish singles match becomes meaningless tag match main event” tactic with this show.

Maybe any new fans will think that’s interesting and it will distract from the cop out. There’s a lot of lazy wrestling cliches that are not familiar to the 5 new fans who stuck around after the debut. They can stretch this out.

I'm guessing by the size of this thread the show is going to really going to bomb in terms of ratings.

I started watching it then just gave up before Roman Reigns hit the ring.

I turned to watch Northeast Wrestling where they had Broken Matt Hardy fight Sami Callihan all over a baseball diamond, Dream Match between Jushin Thunder Liger vs Jeff Hardy and main event of Cody Rhodes vs Kurt Angle.

Based on the comments or lack there of, I made the right choice.
