Noid completes the week with Official SmackDown
 

SmackDown is the show I am least intrigued to watch this week, but I'm going to try and muscle through. WWE have advertised four matches for the show:

* Roman Reigns & The Usos vs. King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
* Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship
* Shorty G vs. Sheamus
* John Morrison & The Miz vs. Heavy Machinery vs. The Revival vs. Lucha House Party for a shot at the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Looks to be a good card.

WWE still "trying," whatever you want to make of that.

I think Morrison & Miz will become #1 Contenders; Gable will catch Sheamus and then Sheamus will get his heat back, possibly to be interrupted by a face turn Cesaro; Strowman wins the IC Title; Reigns & Usos win the main and then Bray Wyatt makes his presence felt and takes out Reigns somehow.

Show will open with a Daniel Bryan talking about what's next in his career.

Would love if they threw a Bryan vs. Cesaro match on there, but I don't see it.

They did that exact same 6 man tag last week and it apparently wound up being over a 30 minute segment. Seems rather unimaginative to just run it again.

Between Carrillo/Andrade on Raw and now Shorty G/Sheamus on Smackdown, they’re continuing a recent trend of running the PPV pre-show matches on TV during the week. All but reinforcing that the PPV pre-shows are pointless.

you can guarantee that it'll be mediocre since Bruce Prichard runs the show.

I gonna be watching too I think.

Only thing I disagree with here is the stuff with Bray Wyatt. I don't think they'll pull the trigger on that quite yet. They are going to want Bray and Roman to both have matches at Blood Money V and I don't think they'll pull the trigger on that feud until after that because of how WWE books feuds. I imagine Bray will prob have another match with Bryan in Saudi (or maybe a transitional, one-off feud with someone) and Roman will do whatever. I imagine they'll have their first real interaction the following week on SD a couple days before the Elimination Chamber, which Roman will win to officially kick off their feud.

That only leaves them a month to build until WM but considering the history between Wyatt and Roman, they don't need that much time. And this is probably going to be one of those 3-4 month back and forth feuds tbh. They have time.

Reigns and Corbin feud still going................ SmackDown truly seems unwatchable

I didn't see the actual segment, but didn't Kane do something with Bray? Given the Saudi show is coming up, I'm pretty sure Glen will be getting that truck backed up.

Honestly kind of wish SmackDown didn't have a Women's Division. It's really just Sasha and Bayley doing their thing and Mandy/Sonya. Just move them all over to Raw.

If Bischoff wasn’t fired we could’ve been getting Mandy and Sonya HLA segments. Sad.

Honestly when I see Roman I want to see the Uso's. I want this Bloodline stable to be a real thing, how can you boo Roman after Cancer and when he's with his Uso's?

This Reigns vs. Corbin feud should have ended at the Rumble instead of still dragging along pretty much since Smackdown's move to FOX.

The fact they are doing another Loser Eats Dog Food match at a house show really feels like that's going to end up happening on Smackdown or a PPV soon.

I wonder if they will do LOSER EATS THE DOG FOOD MATCH at Super Showdown (in Jeddah).

The Usos charismatic chaps. Can probably be singles stars if the other decides to go into real estate.

I'm SO OVER Dolph Ziggler. He should really pursue Stand Up comedy.

SmackDown set looks amazing. SmackDown commentary is awful. Roman Reigns promo is awful.

Is Ziggler even wearing gear?

WWE makes enough money to design Corbin some better gear. Get NASA on that if you have to.

Uso's do promo better than The Big Dog. But honestly this trio is money they need to push this group like The Shield.

Corbin, Roode and Ziggler look like they are about to shoot some throat fuck gangbang casting porn in HD.

That opening promo segment was bad.

The whole angle is fine it's just so Bruce right? Over the top dumb stuff but it was kind of fun, it wasn't terrible. Uso's and Roman are money money money together and even the heel trio was entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing the losers eat the dog food tbh.

I both love and hate The Usos at the same time.

Big fatal four way to determine who faces The New Day at Super Showdown my money is on Miz and Morrison.

This match will be a cluster, but I do like me some John Morrison.

Will be interesting to see Morrison mix up with Lucha House Party.

Looking forward to seeing where they go for The Feind at Super Showdown. Slik told me the rumor is he faces Kane. Which would probably suck but the spectacle could but fun.

Meltzer said the Revival asked and were again denied their release the weekend of The Rumble.

I think The Miz is probably my least favorite WWE wrestler of any consequence ever.

This show is so damn gentrified.

Dorado and Metalik are so damn good and under used.

Gran Metalik and John Morrison are amazing. This is a fun match.

I appreciate Dorado throwing some precision into that springboard crossbody to the outside.

Not sold on Heavy Machinery. I just don't...like them, lol.

Miz pretty much peaked as a wrestler in 2011 and in promo skills in 2016. Pretty much has remained in the same spot since then outside of a few moments here and there in terms of status.

Fatal 4-way tag match was decent.

That was a good four way tag match.

Okay, that was a pretty groovy little clusterfuck. Otis did end up impressing me.

Still think Bray Wyatt's gimmick fucking sucks.

Pretty sure The Miz was not the legal man when he made the tag to Morrison at the end there. I thought Dawson and Dorado were legal. I hope The Revival make something of that.

So weird how Brodus Clay just called himself "Tyrus" on WWE TV.

I don't want to know what his new kind of SmackDown is though.

Women's tag match was whatever.

Outside of the Kabuki Warriors, women's tag division is pretty bad. Like maybe 4 teams top and Mandy & Sonya is the 2nd best in terms of ring quality but way below the Kabuki Warriors.

Nakamura knows how to carry himself like a big deal.

Nakamura, Cesaro & Zayn should be a unit that gets my pee-pee hard.

Remember when they used to do those awful graphics that would flash across the screen a while back? Like The Usos would say "lock-down!" and the cage would come in. Or Nakamura would pose and it would say "Rooooooccccckkkkksssssttttaaaaaarrrrrrrr" :lol:

Still do not giving a flying fuck about Braun Strowman. He probably wins the belt here. Either that or they do some sort of DQ thing to string this along even further.

Why is that much dog food needed?

IC title match was decent but Strowman's win felt pretty anti-climatic especially considering it being his first real title win in WWE.

Thought that exposed turnbuckle might have been a device to get to Nakamura vs. Zayn, but they didn't seem particularly tense after the match or anything.

Nakamura got control after the comeback, and it took an exposed turnbuckle. Then he got his shoulder up right after the three count.

Looking forward to seeing Chad Gable wrestle.

This is the exact opposite of what they did on Raw where they tried to make their babyfaces actually likeable. You can tell this is the Vince-heavy show.

Liking this show more than NXT, honestly. Nakamura has raised it to a higher level with his professional presence.

No way this is as good as Raw though.

At least he's wrestling without the top.

These two guys are working well together. The story just sucks.
