You know what? Mansoor v Dolph could be a really good match.

Mr. Nerfect 02-26-2020 07:03 PM

Dolph doing a tour where he puts over young talent in singles matches could be a fun little deal.

I could see a lot of the belts changing hands at this show. It's still a fucking Saudi show, but I can see that being how they build "significance" for it.

I think Taker will challenge AJ after the gauntlet.

xrodmuc316 02-26-2020 11:50 PM

Honestly, Mansoor has got to have the best deal in the biz. Dude wrestles 2 times a year and probably clears a solid $1.5 million.

rez 02-26-2020 11:54 PM

I still refuse to watch SA WWE

Who fucking cares. A guy who should is a legend have retired at least some at least 7+ years ago, and someone who is lucky, and probably should have retired 3+ years ago if he was being truthful about staying healthy and able to appreciate and enjoy his youth and the youth of his children.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 03:56 AM

Starting to think Noid is BigCrippyZ and he's arguing with himself.

You're really reaching with this stuff. Should Chris Jericho have retired too? For some reason, I think your tone would change with that.

Not a Taker fan -- always criticized him and have never been a fan of the streak or any of his programs in particular. That being said, Taker vs. AJ is probably going to be an amazing match that will mean a lot more to a lot more people than most of what the rest of the wrestling world can accomplish. I'm more excited to see the amazing job Styles does, since he's still heads and shoulders above most guys out there.

Are you really comparing current day Jericho to current day Undertaker?

You need to take a break from this place

No, I’m comparing AJ Styles to Chris Jericho. And Styles moves/looks better. It’s not really fair to Jericho from an in-ring perspective.

Undertaker disappearing years ago wouldn’t have upset me. Honestly, him disappearing at any point wouldn’t have bothered me. But if you’re going to have him, Phenom vs. Phenomenal One has got more weight to it than most programs, and actually has the potential to be a great match, and probably the last great match of a career I may not have been too fond of, but a lot of people have. That’s significant.

You have to stick your fingers in your ears and go “la-la-la!” to argue otherwise. There are still more Network subscribers than there are casual AEW viewers.

GD 02-27-2020 07:58 AM

Expecting anything from The Undertaker at this point of time is setting up yourself for failure.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2020 08:32 AM

We will see.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2020 08:33 AM

Coronavirus may keep WWE talent locked down in Saudi. The upside to this is that WWE’s make-do shows are usually more interesting than anything they usually plan out.

GD 02-27-2020 09:06 AM

Correct me if I am wrong, that only applies to the people entering the kingdom.

Jordan 02-27-2020 09:43 AM

Will Mansoor be victorious!?

Savio 02-27-2020 10:26 AM

Can I bet my entire house on Mansoor?

GD 02-27-2020 02:15 PM

Miz and Morrison are the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

slik 02-27-2020 02:18 PM

AJ vs Taker at Mania likely

TLC match for SD tag titles seems likely for Mania (New Day vs Miz/Morrison vs Usos?)

GD 02-27-2020 02:26 PM

I find it amusing that Undertaker won the trophy.

Also, I think I am in love with Angel Garza.

slik 02-27-2020 02:27 PM

He left the trophy at ringside too lol

slik 02-27-2020 02:27 PM

Garza has an incredible bum

slik 02-27-2020 02:27 PM

Finn Balor still #1 tho

GD 02-27-2020 02:33 PM

Forever #1

GD 02-27-2020 02:37 PM

LMAO @Saxton asking Corey how it feels to be average and not succeeding at life...

GD 02-27-2020 02:46 PM

What was that weird glitch?

GD 02-27-2020 02:48 PM

Having a lot of issues with the audio...:nono:

GD 02-27-2020 02:59 PM

Bah gawd, Mansoor wins!

GD 02-27-2020 03:09 PM

Not a bad package for Ricochet. Dude's rocking shorts tonight.

Splaya 02-27-2020 03:12 PM

Listen. Give Ricochet this win. You can have him drop it at Elimination Chamber. Gives him the title win and he can lose it in the chamber thus being protected.

GD 02-27-2020 03:14 PM

Interesting look for Ricochet tonight.

GD 02-27-2020 03:15 PM

Welp, there goes Ricochet.

slik 02-27-2020 03:17 PM

Damn at 2 minute Brock/Ricochet match

slik 02-27-2020 03:18 PM

I love Ricochet's new gear

Finally the thighs have been freed

GD 02-27-2020 03:21 PM

Big Dog time!

slik 02-27-2020 03:23 PM

I don't even watch SD and I'm tired of Corbin/Roman just from the clips

slik 02-27-2020 03:34 PM

This show is pretty boring (first Saudi show I've seen)

It feels like a house show with a big set

GD 02-27-2020 03:36 PM

Yet to endure Bayley/Naomi in order to get to the Universal title bout.

GD 02-27-2020 03:48 PM

Naomi bringing the glow

GD 02-27-2020 03:50 PM

Man, I miss face Bayley.

GD 02-27-2020 03:58 PM

The "This is awesome" chants might be due to the fact that the fans are getting to see female superstars compete.

slik 02-27-2020 04:05 PM

Bayley vs Naomi was pretty bad

GD 02-27-2020 04:06 PM

Bayley has consistently underperformed for the duration of her title reign.

slik 02-27-2020 04:06 PM

Let's go Goldberg

GD 02-27-2020 04:12 PM

Goldberg looking mighty awkward on the stage without his usual pyro.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:12 PM

Crowd seems dead af for Goldberg. Silence when he hit the top of the ramp.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:13 PM

Maybe it's just the audio though.

GD 02-27-2020 04:15 PM

Audio is certainly a bit iffy.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:16 PM

I never would have imagined all those years ago that I would end up as a Husky Harris mark.

GD 02-27-2020 04:19 PM

Two weak ass spears...

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:20 PM

Ijs if I was ever rasslin a guy who used the spear as a finisher I would never ever turn around and face him after I had been knocked down lol. They won't spear you from behind.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:21 PM

....WTF

GD 02-27-2020 04:21 PM

What the actual fuck? Goldberg wins the Universal Championship

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:21 PM

Thats the weakest shit ive ever seen. Hope he ruins wrestlemania.

GD 02-27-2020 04:22 PM

Nothing is sacred anymore.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:23 PM

They just buried Bray with nothing. Nothing. 2 weak ass spears and a botched jackhammer. After all the shit hes done to everyone else. Thats it. Fucking. Pathetic.

GD 02-27-2020 04:23 PM

Thanks Obama.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:23 PM

Bray got nothing in on him. Nothing.

Evil Vito 02-27-2020 04:24 PM

Lol this company is in shambles creatively

GD 02-27-2020 04:25 PM

I am assuming this will setup Goldberg vs Cena for Mania. Maybe Goldberg vs Reigns. Bummer.

slik 02-27-2020 04:25 PM

Goldberg squashes the Fiend in under 3 minutes

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:26 PM

So considering nobody on main roster can touch The Fiend. And Goldberg just destroyed him in 12 seconds....We now have 2 part time champs who are built as untouchable except to each other.....oh and the crippled Undertaker who can somehow still fight them.

Splaya 02-27-2020 04:27 PM

Fucking idiots.

You just DESTROYED THE ONE FUCKING THING YOU HAD LEFT

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:27 PM

I hope all of them get quarantined for the next month for Coronavirus randomly and fuck up SD for the duration and ruin the build to Mania.

GD 02-27-2020 04:27 PM

https://i.imgflip.com/3qi5zu.jpg

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:29 PM

Bray prob gonna win the title back at EC to double swerve everyone but the damage has been done. It's not gonna matter when you put someone over him to build them now. That was prob the best thing about the set up...whoever ended up going over the Fiend was gonna get a huge rub because of the way he was built. They threw it all away to give gassed on the way to the ring Oldberg the shine.

GD 02-27-2020 04:30 PM

They could've sacrificed "Fun House" Bray Wyatt for this shit.

Evil Vito 02-27-2020 04:30 PM

If you want to see the stars of yesteryear no longer getting prominent spots at Mania, you’d best just wait for the Mania after Vince is six feet under.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:31 PM

Either that or we're getting that dreaded triple threat I was worried about: Oldberg, Fiend, Roman. If that's the case, they just put the title on Oldberg so Bray didn't have to eat a pin from Roman......yet.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:32 PM

I don't care if they get a prominent spot. He shouldn't be the champion.

Sepholio 02-27-2020 04:32 PM

Laugh if fun house Bray comes out to wrestle and he's even more of a monster than The Fiend lmfao

Splaya 02-27-2020 04:34 PM

AEW has my full attention

slik 02-27-2020 04:38 PM

Bray gonna job to Cena next at WM

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2020 04:38 PM

Did the show end early?

Usually these last till around 4PM and figured I'd probably be able to catch the main event and maybe the match before it.

Reading the results and  at Undertaker winning the Tuwaiq match despite him never being announced for it and also  at Goldberg actually beating the Fiend. WWE legit keeps finding new ways to screw up anything good that ever happens in the company.

Evil Vito 02-27-2020 04:39 PM

The three guys WWE put over on this show have a combined age of 149.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2020 04:43 PM

Smart move. Goldberg appeals to way more people than Bray Wyatt, and his gimmick is fucking awful. They shouldn’t have had him ridiculously no sell guys like Bryan, but this is a better route now.

Goldberg vs. Cena is the right way to go. Especially if you are going to try and sell streaming rights and make hundreds of millions of dollars. Bray Wyatt is a mid-card gimmick and probably best as a babyface.

The only thing that can ruin this are the stupid fans who will try to take matters into their own hands and boo anyone that isn’t a full-timer even if the way forward for the moment is the genuine fucking stars.

Goldberg has to lose the belt to someone, and that is going to mean more than beating Bray Wyatt likely ever will.

xrodmuc316 02-27-2020 04:43 PM

I really can't believe they did that.

I mean what is the end game here? Goldberg vs Cena? Goldberg vs Reigns?
Fiend not even on the Mania card?

I honestly think Vince wants to bury the company so nobody can take it over and do better than him.

slik 02-27-2020 04:45 PM

WM is sort of predictable this year

Roman beats Goldberg
Cena beats Fiend
Taker beats AJ
Edge beats Orton
Shayna beats Becky
Drew beats Brock

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2020 04:53 PM

Predictable does not equal bad. I’m not even sure those are going to be the matches or the outcomes though.

AJ beating Taker won’t hurt Taker. If they want heels, they might have Orton beat Edge. They often inexplicably have heels lose at their first Manias, so Shayna may lose to Becky and win the belt later. I’m thinking we might get Cena/Goldberg and Bray/Roman non-title. Cena/Goldberg has got the better story, two bigger stars and can and will go short — Cena has got a Hollywood schedule to think about. Bray vs. Roman gets both away from the belt, which is an obvious direction they’ve wanted for Roman.

Do all these people whinging really want to see Roman Reigns as Universal Champiob again? Aren’t they the same people who have been complaining about how shit SmackDown is? They’re a similar group of people to the ones who would get upset when Bray goes 0-4 at WrestleMania. I think this is a way to get the belt off him and let him go over Roman at WrestleMania. Given that Bray’s thing seems to be that he “changes” people, I’m honestly optimistic about a heel turn for Roman after it.

Only a duffer like Noid would consider this as the greatest decision ever in the history of sports and entertainment. He's more concerned about the company's finances and their marketability to third party streaming platforms rather than enjoying the damn product or caring for compelling storylines.

Only real issue I see is why have Taker beat Styles today instead of holding that off till Mania.

Like the ending to the mountain trophy match could have been handled a ton better by not having Taker actually enter and win it. Styles gets the cheating heel win but Taker comes out afterwards to beat him up to leave the crowd happy and start their feud for Mania.

Did the bell need to ring for the match to start in a gauntlet match? Cause it didn't and I'm assuming AJ is going to use that excuse as to why he didn't actually lose

Try harder. didn’t say it was the greatest decision ever in the history of sports and entertainment. The health of your business metrics says something about how “compelling” you are. I care way more about Goldberg than Bray Wyatt. One if a charismatic mega-star who looks like a million bucks, the other is a hammy mid-carder who wears a goofy mask and leggings. I’ve said he’s horrible from the start. Apparently that counts as sucking their cock now and being a WWE apologist on the level of CyNick.

Goldberg winning the belt is infinitely more compelling than the other option here. The only people who don’t think so are the sorts of fans that WWE should move away from catering exclusively to. Goldberg is a great bridging act, no matter what they say, because he appeals to more casual fans and is so different when compared to guys who go out there and work 20 minute matches to get a 20th as over.

Oh, so Taker won the trophy and beat Styles? That’s just an angle to set up a later match between the two with a genuine reason, give Taker another career accolade and put a drive in the Styles character to want to beat Taker.

Going by the results, seems the ref made it legal when he allowed Taker to have Rey's spot and called the pin afterwards.

That's the second time a tournament held at these shows ended in a screwy finish in the sense that the winner was someone who wasn't announced beforehand.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2020 05:34 PM

I just saw clips and Bray Wyatt got to kick out of at least two Spears and no-sold one and put the Mandible Claw on a doubting Goldberg. Bray got way more than he needed.

The weirdest thing

I guess this has been on before there was an Impact themed Table for 3 on a couple months ago. Still weird though

Gerard 02-27-2020 06:09 PM

Sweet baby jesus wtf was that? For the second time in this event they fuck up goldberg's entrance, this time the pyro didn't even fire properly and he was left on the stage awkwardly waiting for it.

Then we have wwe's idea of a main event that has a grand total of 3 different moves, a spear, a botched jackhammer and a mandible claw.

:-\ :nono:

Vince, you have officially lost it, please fuck off to your poxy American hand egg league and hire a brain damaged chimp to run wwe, as that would be more capable than you at this point.

They better give Taker a wheelchair to get down to the ring, guy can hardly fucking walk.
May as well get my nan to have a match with AJ, she would probably be able to give a better chokeslam.

Gerard 02-27-2020 06:45 PM

3 "matches" on this card that had a run time of about 5 minutes combined, Lensar, Taker, Goldberg. Takes me longer taking a dump ffs.

Goldberg matches since he came back have taken the "2 moves of doom" saying to an all new level, doesn't try anything besides multiple spears and a jackhammer.

WWE: We want to make our product all about the WWE brand. We’re hesitant to build new megastars

YOU, the common viewer: Oh really? How come?

WWE: Well, back in 2003 we really pushed the hell out of Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. We made them both huge attractions. We made them champions! They were the future! It was must see tv!

YOU: That’s pretty cool! What happened?

WWE: Wouldn’t you know it, we book these two for a mega feud super match at Wrestlemania! At Madison Square Garden! It’s going to be the biggest thing ever. And then, these two motherfuckers just up and leave us! Can you believe that shit?

YOU: That’s awful.

WWE: I know right? We’ll never make that mistake again.

YOU: Yeah man I totally understand that. So who are your champions now?

WWE: So...
