Are people on the internet too harsh about Nia Jax?
Nia seems to always be a target for criticism of her in-ring ability and weight on the internet -- do you think this is fair or unfair?
For someone who had double knee replacements she seems to move really well IMO and she is good at playing a heel. Do you think fans should be more respectful of Nia's contributions to wrestling history? |
Only thing I think that is unfair is calling her out of shape, because she is prob in great shape for her body type. Prob goes harder at the gym than anyone here.
|
Do you think she should adapt a more submission style move base, like a million dollar dream or full nelson, and maybe use more rest-holds going forward to lengthen her career?
|
no
|
Yes definitely
|
If she wasn't so bad at her job people wouldn't be so harsh.
|
I'd say yes in regards to her weight and looks but not really towards her skills as a wrestler. Some of the negativity is also probably related to how poorly she acts on social media at times even for the slightest issues.
Nia is also someone that should have stayed a lot longer in developmental to iron out her skills and abilities before main roster creative got their hands on her. |
Do you think it's fair to say she is better than Tamina and Nattie in all aspects
|
Which match would you rather watch:
Nia Jax vs Emi Sakura or Baron Corbin vs Jake Hager |

No for Nattie. Nattie might be bland these days but she's still better in the ring than Nia and at least can deliver an interesting promo or feud once in a while. |
I think Nia is the same 'in-ring' level as Kane but no one ever attacks Kane for just being 'ok'.
|
The weight stuff is mean and I'm guilty of that. But she's the drizzling shits in that ring. At the very least, I can point to moments where Kane really stepped up and helped/took advantage of a moment and made it memorable. Nia I don't feel has done that. And that's partly because we green as fuck and they pushed her anyways. But she's been around long enough to improve, which I'm not sure she has. Her rants about injuring people is dumb because she's done the same. And the reality is she only has her spot because of the Rock. Not because she's good at anything concerning wrestling.
|
No, she is careless and a loudmouth.
The punch she gave Becky was one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen in wrestling. It's not even about not knowing how to throw a working punch and/or accidentally tagging someone. The bitch rotated her hips and followed through with the punch the entire way. There is no excuse whatsoever for that. |
I apologize for cyber bullying Nia Jax.

She's not like most girls.

I've seen Tamina move around the ring with more balance and poise than her.
|
Absolutely.
She wasn’t great in NXT, got called up and pushed when she was still green, broke the face of an Internet Darling, and she’s related to a star so it’s an easy criticism to level at her that she only gets pushed because of that relationship. I’m not a fan, but she does take an unnecessary kicking from the “IWC”. |
Nia sucks

Nia is the best female heel in the company . It's just a bunch of fat basement dwelling virgins hating on her because "nom nom workrate".

Are people too hard on Nia?
On her looks and weight, a lot of people probably are. That's not my issue or criticism of her though, and I'm sure many feel the same. I don't hate Nia nor do I really care much about her weight or looks, and even though I don't personally find her attractive, she can (and does) have her place in wrestling based on her size, etc. I'm critical of Nia's sloppiness/carelessness in the ring, her intentionally throwing a legit punch at a fellow wrestler in the ring no matter the reason, and her utter refusal or inability to realize the hypocrisy of her own comments about other's safety, work, improvement, etc. |
I mostly don't like her voice. Do with that what you will.

Well, I guess I gave you a lot of liberty there.

Yeah, you should have put some limits on it, really.

If I could turn back time...

She is sloppy and dangerous. That should be enough before going into her questionable attitude and entitlement.
It’s nothing to do with her weight expect for the fact that it makes her more reckless and dangerous when she is bigger and more powerful than her opponent and she does moves like the one above . |
She needs to watch Bam Bam Bigelow who managed to convey power but always seemed safe.

Didn't she suplex a woman last week, but held her leg too long and basically prevent her from rotating so she landed on her neck? |
She has hurt a number of the wrestlers. The only reason that she continues to have a job and be defended is because she comes from the right family
|
Maybe in a few regards but definitely not as it pertains to her recklessness and being a dangerous worker. She has earned that reputation.
|
She's extremely dangerous to work with and the fact that she has such a size advantage on the entire women's roster is a huge deal. Plus she just flat out has no "it" factor or ability to draw. So why even consider the risk of putting her in the ring with somebody who on the other hand actually can draw but is so much smaller than her? It's definitely not "best for business" to ever let her share a ring with somebody like Becky or Alexa Bliss. Just minimize her to a manager/silent bodyguard role, I honestly can't see a single person complaining about Nia Jax not getting enough TV time, especially in-ring or on the mic.
When it comes to people being so hard on her, when she's straight up sucker punching people in their nose, buckle bombing them neck first on to the bottom turnbuckle, etc, and even worse being a hypocrite and complaining about other performers being unsafe to work with, people are definitely going to be rough on her. Add in the factor that she's connected to the bloodline that automatically gets you into the WWE (which honestly is probably the reason why she was brought up so quickly even though she was obviously still not ready), and has never shown any ability to draw despite given opportunities/TV time that so many others who actually deserve it work their asses off for and never get, all puts a target on her back. With all of that being said, the fact that she is built the way that she is, when people insult her because they are upset with all of the above reasons, it's not surprising that they throw her size into the mix. I mean let's be honest, she is big, and even though she probably is in great shape (strength wise), she unfortunately doesn't have the type of build that other females with a similar height and weight does. Obviously being in the WWE doesn't help, because it's unlikely that they will ever provide her with a gimmick that she can actually get over with. And even though she obviously could easily improve her in-ring work and mic skills, it would be too little too late. Nia Jax has no chance of having a meaningful career in the WWE at this point, even if she left for months and returned. This is where her bloodline actually hurts her, because if she was on the list of everybody that was just released, maybe she could have taken a year or two and improved herself (in-ring and mic work, look/gimmick), and got a shot at a new start in another company, even if it was just as a manager/bodyguard role). But, due to her family ties, I'm sure her contract will never be in jeopardy. |
