So if Randy is now claiming to be the greatest wrestler, is he going to feud with Shane McMahon next to find out who truly is the best wrestler in the world?
Christian coming back now too?
Somebody turn on the Lock Jaw signal. |
DB and Angle could have just declared unsanctioned matches to get around not being cleared to wrestle? bah gawd!
These new ideas WWE has to go to commercial breaks have been somewhat dumb.
Owens vs. Garza was decent.
If Garza and Andrade are going to be an actual tag team now, I'd give it about a few weeks before WWE gets bored with them like they've done to almost every new tag team pushed in recent months. |
Wasn't Heyman pushing them? You're probably right.
Yeah although think Garza replaced Andrade as one of his hand-pick stars after a while.
Heyman was hit-or-miss when it cam to keeping interest with tag teams but at least he was more willing to try with new teams. |
Did MVP just call Lana a "THOT"?
Not sure that's PG |
ugh...this Lana/Lashley shit needs to be done
Lana fake pregnancy storyline incoming...
 at the "Jerry" chants.
I'm down with Viking Prophets
First the Performance Center has a big problem with random kidnappings by masked guys and now it has a big problem with a gang of ninjas roaming around.
Did WWE also layoff all of their security because of the coronavirus? |
WCW's Yet-tay is shook by GIANT NINJA
Face Show
This somehow keeps getting dumber the longer it goes.
Last night's cinematic thingy with the ninjas was enjoyable because at least it fit with the goofy theme that was going on.
This stuff with the ninjas and Big Show is just dumb and not in a good or ironic way. |
I was very sports entertained by that
SUPER MEGA ULTRA NINJA OTIS Montez best things in WWE |
I dunno. I'm mildly entertained. I took a mini break from WWE, including Backlash.
The Prichard era has begun!
2k19 poster in the background lol
Seth segment. break time
 at Rey's eye patch just being a see through visor on his mask.
Rollins probably wished he didn't give AOP a nice vacation break since its not like WWE has any security lying around these days.
Undertaker's last match should be against the SUPER GIANT NINJA?
Only if he has to join Tozawa's ninja crew if he loses.
 Truth
blink and you missed match
owenbrown marking out r/n
I wonder if LANA will continue her Thot/Karen ways and cost Lashley the title tonight
Liv & Natty vs. IIconics was decent at best.
None of the matches soo far have been that entertaining. Probably doesn't help I watched some of NJPW's return show from earlier today right before RAW. |
I'm just watching highlight reel vids as the show goes on. Who am I?
jk ;) |
Ric's voice so off? :(
Apollo's new theme sounds pretty good.
 rare Shelton Benjamin sighting. |
Why did Apollo cheat if he's meant to be the good guy in this matchup?
So far the Bruce Prichard era of Raw is easier to watch than the Heyman era tbh.
It's moving along quicker and w a less serious atmosphere. |
Not sure using epic music for last night's Nia vs. Asuka match is a good idea considering the whole match was mostly meh with a really terrible ending.
Supposedly the reason for the double count out was due to WWE wanting to protect Nia's status and still having high views of her as a star. |
So much focus on storytelling tonight
Good stuff w/ T-Truth and Drew |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">How wild would it be if Truth swindles McIntyre in their match, costs him the belt, and joins Lashley and MVP? <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWERaw?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWERaw</a></p>— Robbie S. |
 Big Show coming up with a very practical and reasonable way to settle the Street Profits and Viking Raiders goofy sports feud ... just have a tag title match.
So is it only MVP and Lashley who can become the new WWE Champ or Truth can as well if he pins either guy?
Drew/R-Truth easily defeat MVP/Lashley clean lol
MVP & Lashley vs. Truth & Drew was decent.
Truth pinning MVP but Drew keeping the title answered my question. |
Good match, especially with not knowing for certain what Truth would do.
Bailey with her Karen haircut still...
Bayley's new hairdo looks like someone in the back screwed up big time cutting and styling it.
Bayley's hair is ridiculous lol
Doesn't Vince dislike tag teams? Bruce gonna be on the chop block now.
Apparently a big security incident happened earlier in the show.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The man who was shot outside the WWE PC years ago just had to be removed from the area by WWE security yet again. Nia struggling to do a Samoan Drop
Asuka must have some amazing trust in Nia to willingly take a powerbomb on the floor.
Nice. fuck Nia
 at Asuka needing to win via a screwy finish.
Her title reign has been off to a bad start in terms of making her actually look strong in the ring. |
Nia Jax vs Referee John Cone at EXTREME RULES
I'd hope it's just punishment for Jax but shrug

 at Christian's first match after years of wait ends up being just a low blow and punt.
lol @ flair. never gets old. marked out
Ric Flair is a damn jezebel
This feels a bit too corny now. Should have ended the show after the first talk Orton had to an unconscious Christian.
RAW itself was somewhat decent overall. Very heavy in story stuff and pretty weak in terms of ring action. The story stuff was mixed bag quality at least for me personally. |
I wonder if Vince will really create a stable of black male wrestlers and force them all to be heel during this moment in history?

Though in all honesty I do think she'd look better sporting more of a medium-length 'do. The new look for her heel turn last year was kinda interesting, but the soccer mom look isn't working anymore IMHO. |

Raw seemed better than usual based on results... due to stuff happening, seemingly
Apparently the person who got removed from outside of WWE's PC was taping the incident as it happened.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">So while <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/raw?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#raw</a> was getting started this is basically what was going on outside <a href="https://twitter.com/WWEPC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@WWEPC</a> . <a href="https://twitter.com/LaceyEvansWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@LaceyEvansWWE</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/DanaBrookeWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@DanaBrookeWWE</a> were getting ready to fuck up some maniac trying to get into the performance center. I'm assuming they are only allowing Randy to use the Punt again because they can edit it to look good with no risk.
It instantly takes his heel character to another level. |
the only downside to Legend Killer Orton return is the lack of legends to kill on RAW
Also helps he did the move against two beloved people with known neck and concussion issues.
Quote:
But apparently he just got screwed over by Orton again tonight...:fu: They should have had Christian win, launch a comeback, and then unify all the titles at Wrestlemania. |
Quote:
They should bring back Enzo Amore,,, |
They should give Montez the title and make him the OTIS of RAW
Christian anchoring Raw means it’ll not only be the best show in years, but it’ll also destroy in the ratings.

I’m not a fan of Bruce Prichard, but one thing I’ll say about him is that he knows how to put together a show to make it feel like WWE — whether that’s good or bad. It felt like more happened on this show than basically any of Heyman’s.
Something I will point out: I love the finish to Shelton Benjamin and Apollo Crews. I love Shelton, so it’s just nice to see him used. But I liked how the heels tried to imply that Crews needs some edge. Then Shelton tries to cheat to beat him, and Crews cheats back to win. It’s so simple, but that “eye for an eye” psychology is something Bret Hart used to do that I really love. Helps a guy separate himself from feeling like a pushover. Crews has needed something like that. And if they’re doing this heel turn (I’d rather see him just be a better face), it fuels that too. This finish said something about the guy winning and something about the guy losing. It told an actual story, despite what people whinge about re: WWE. I don’t know if that would have been a Bruce idea, or if he reached out to Pat Patterson for that or something, haha, but it’s appreciated by this bored as fuck wrestling fan. |
I agree Noid, it certainly felt like a classic WWE show. Which makes sense with Bruce in charge, who else could make it feel like that? I wasn't glued to the screen all three hours but pretty much everything I saw was enjoyable. I still don't care much for the women's wrestling if I'm honest. On a three hour show it just takes up time for me.
I appreciate a fresh vibe but I don't have faith that Bruce won't get burnt out soon. |
I agree. Heyman made things feel fresh for a little bit (not to a major degree) when he started too. That third hour is a killer, and the women’s division may benefit from getting its own show on the WWE Network or something. There are lots of presentation and formatting issues that plague WWE just because they are stubborn.
Christian is back!? And then written off in the same episode?
Allowing him to take The Punt is surely a good sign of a full return, right? Could we get an E&C reunion down the line? |
God, hopefully not.
Edge is already broken and Christian has always been horrible. |
Was happy that you came back drave, but..... now I'm gonna have to say please go away and never return.
Christian is the man, and has always been the better of the two, and pretty "sickening" how Edge ended up with all the glory and not Christian..... |
I’m not sure Christian is back-back. Seems like an angle. But Edge and Daniel Bryan have both proven there are ways. Christian has basically said that even if he could get back he’s not sure he’d want to. But WWE can pay a lot more money now. And that stuff on Raw was great. Christian forever.

This is not the first time I have said this. You are pooping too much LJ. |
Watching the segment...
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/C21bkURx9vU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Did it look like this on the actual broadcast? This freezes during the punt and makes it look blatantly edited. Of course, even if Christian were cleared (which I'm not convinced he is or that he even wants to wrestle again), I wouldn't want him taking a punt kick on his first night back anyway...but still. |

I’d be interested in knowing whether or not he actually took the move since that’s something there’s no way they’d have him do if he wasn’t cleared. I’m all for a Christian return. |

Not sure if the Ninja outfit is a step up or down from the tablecloth. :-\ |
Feels like Tozawa and Giant Ninja could be the sleeper hit of 2020.
I think he needs to be called something else, though. I'm usually the first one to bitch about guys falling haphazardly into the WWE Name Generator, but Giant Ninja is way too close to something else for comfort. In some circles (like craigslist posts), it already is a euphemism for exactly that.
Quote:
I don’t see anything wrong with Giant Ninja myself. It’s simple and to the point.
The issue will come when Vince randomly decides he needs to change to a single name. You can’t really use Giant as there’s already been one, so that just leaves Ninja, and we’ve already got a Nia Jax so it’s too similar. :shifty:
