Apparently "RETALIATION" aka Mercedes Martinez was dropped from the group

probably because the rest of the group are super active on social media trying to get this over (dumb as it is) and she stays away from it

Re-drafting the rosters just feels really dumb.

Liked in the early brand split days when they'd just do a lottery switching a handful of people and that was that. At least it was a better storyline explanation for splitting up a tag team other than the decision makers at one show deciding one of the members of the team wasn't worth a shit.

I wish they'd just announce whose switching brands instead of drafting people 'already on the show'

If they just had two tumblers for Raw and Smackdown and did like 10 picks per show, it would be smoother.

They could have fun with it as well. Kofi's name is pulled out as the first pick for Raw, Woods gets picked a segment later, and there's now all sorts of angst over whether or not E will get his name pulled. Tucker gets pulled for Raw and you get the backstage segment of them saying goodbye.

Rollins picked out for SmackDown, you get the same backstage promo where he's happy to get a fresh start. Only to show him annoyed later as Rey, Dominik, and Murphy all get their names pulled during the night.

Yeah the way WWE currently does their draft is just full of head scratching nonsense.

Even how they handle trades between brands feels like they put no real effort into it.

If the brands were actual sports teams, people would be calling for RAW's GM to get fired after last year's draft debacle and/or the Styles trade.

Exactly what I was saying in the Smackdown thread. Seriously, why wouldn't Raw want Big E? Even if the USA Network and Raw officials HATE Big E, you still take him just so Smackdown doesn't have him.

The entire point of the brand split is they are supposed to want brand supremacy. It's why we have Battleground PPVs, and Cross Brand Survivor Series matches. Why would Raw purposefully give Smackdown Big E to help Smackdown.

It's also just as stupid that Smackdown would then redraft him. Raw just passed on him, so Smackdown doesn't need to waste their next pick getting him. They could have instead drafted a Raw wrestler. At that point, they could have got Angel Garza or Humberto.

Nothing illogical about passing up on a young talented wrestler to secure a guy you already have because Raw didn't want him.

Hope Ali gets drafted back to SD and the rest of RETRIBUTION stay on Raw.

Street Profits going to SD was very predictable after what happened with SD's tag belts and Bianca moving to the Blue Brand but WWE really should just merge their tag divisions since they don't have the real depth nor quality for two main roster divisions.

Owens vs. Black No DQ match was pretty good.

I'd laugh if both got drafted to the blue brand and WWE lazily continues their feud there.

Monday Night Blonde Female Wrestlers

Was hoping Shinsuke would finally get a shot at a reboot on Raw.

Seeing Zayn drafted to the same show as Nakamura and Cesaro in the same round is funny seeing as they were all in a stable earlier this year.

Either Mandy had a brain fart on what was supposed to be the ending sequence or Lana screwed up something since that ending to their tag match was really awkward.

:lol: at Natty & Lana abruptly breaking up. What was even the purpose of trying to build them up as a team for weeks just for that anti-climatic break up.

They need to draft some women to SD, so far there are only 6 on the roster:

Natalya and Lana inexplicably being separate in the draft pool kinda tipped that off....not that they haven’t had an issue with breaking up teams in the draft anyway.

Minus Charlotte and Becky since they won't be back any time soon for RAW, SD might actually have the better women's division in terms of quality despite having way fewer women at the moment.

Only real weak link in that group is Tamina and mainly because she's rarely around these days due to injuries.

Bliss pulling a Fiend has been the best thing about tonight's show so far.

Guess you could also include the Triple Threat match as well.

Every other notable current feuds pretty much had those involved staying on their brand or being swapped over together.

Pointless fact: Titus O’Neil and Carmella are the only people on the roster from the 2016 draft to not officially change brands since then

This might be the saddest battle royale ever in WWE history in terms of the overall quality of talent in the ring.

2020 has been a weird year

Need to think about it but that Women's Battle Royal might legit have been the worst and/or dullest ever in WWE history.

Everything about that pretty much sucked including having an Orton vs. Drew brawl happen during it.

Raw itself was somewhat decent overall but this might have been the weakest or worst ever WWE Draft when factoring in both nights. Very little new feuds or interesting stuff came out of it when that shouldn't have been the case at all.

Wasn't Carmella on Raw with R-Truth?

Also while technically not in the 2016 draft, Daniel Bryan has only been on Smackdown, first as GM and then a wrestler.

Shaking things up no longer means new fueds, it means the same fueds switched to a different show :nono:

They were both technically Smackdown talents but they showed up everywhere with the 24/7 gimmick

For a group meant to cause utter chaos and take over WWE, they've been pretty pathetic overall trying to achieve those goals.

If the nWo was portrayed and booked like Retribution has been, they would have quickly become the laughing stocks of WCW and the Monday Night Wars.

The season 2 rookies of NXT quickly failing miserably at pulling off a Nexus moment is probably the only notable comparable dud of an outsider type group in wrestling history.
