The First ever Markies started with some disappointing news.

Apparently, earlier in the day while the technical awards were being handed out, crowd favorite Rob Harvey was arrested in the parking lot while beating the crap out of ‘Boy Toy’ Rob Feinstein

The Ravishing One, the Marky Award winner for ‘Nicest Poster’ and ‘Best Gimick,’ came out to present Chris Benoit his award as being a part of TPWW’s ‘Biggest Event’ (title win at WM20).

TRO: Great job, Chris. I know that seeing you win the title was a huge moment for me as a fan. I can’t wait to see you win it again.

Benoit: Ummm…I’m still the champ.

TRO: Huh?

Benoit: Yeah. I’ve still got the title.

TRO: Seriously? I mean, I watch Raw. You’re in tag matches. And the show really isn’t..y’know..you don’t get much attention. Are you sure Eugene isn’t the champ?

Benoit: Nope…it’s, uh…still me.

TRO: Wow…Awkward.

Next up, the award for ‘Most Over-Rated’ was given to Big Daddy Cool. But more shocking was the fact the not only was Heyman the runner up in the ‘Over-Rated’ category, but ran away with the award for ‘Forum Has-Been.’

Kane Knight destroys Loose Cannon, but is finally stopped by The Naitch (who won for ‘Most Creative’ and was a big part of the Hardcore Title Thread winning ‘Most Memorable.’) and Kayfabe Man. Kane Knight is sent to the back, but he vows revenge.

PureHatred won the awards for ‘Next Big Thing’ and ‘Best New Poster.’ But fans had been buzzing all day from the rumors that El PureHatred was about to leave TPWW for the NFL. But Scott Cochran, YOUR Hero managed to ensure the continued services of the hot young rookie with a fat, new contract and his first born baby.

I love the way that Goldbird won worst gimmick when he stole it off me PMFSL. Quite disapointed that I didnt win anything at all. But by this time next year when the Markies come around, I will reign supreme.
