wow no 11 bells
|
That might have been the worst sounding audio in a WWE video package ever.
Sounded way too muffed than usual done for a recap package. |
That was a great opening promo by Daniel Bryan.
|
:| at this opening promo segment still going on but now with Roman Reigns turn to do the talkies.
Going to set a new all-time WWE record for longest ever opening talking segment with the way things are going right now. |
 at Cole messing up what Corbin's first name was.
Called him Baron when he hasn't been called that ever since wining the King of the Ring tournament in 2019. |
is tonights show taped, that would be a reason for no tribute.
|
:| at a King Corbin singles match after advertising it before the break as a tag match.
Seeing as its against Montez Ford, maybe it might be surprisingly good since Ford is very entertaining in the ring. Edit: Nevermind the match sucked. |

Poor Reginald, got fired from his job of holding wine for women.
Dumb to break up the Carmella & Reginald duo this quickly since its still had a lot of potential interest and steam remaining. |
Dominik vs. Gable was somewhat pretty good.
Something about Dominik feels a bit off thought. He's been more slower and/or cautious in the ring than he was before for his matches. Could just be some jitters but also could have been some bad advice given to work the typical slow WWE style that doesn't fit him well. |
Guess Murphy is back to being a heel based on that backstage tease with Rollins.
|
Poor Reginald, not a good night so far for him.
First he gets dumped by Carmella and now he got attacked by Bianca, Sasha, and Nia. |
good to see the writers found something for murphy
|
 at Cole spoiling the ending to Murphy vs. Cesaro before it happened.
|
ugh more nia
|
 at Crews now having bodyguards for his new Nigerian royalty gimmick.
That's one shitty looking spear he's holding. Crews talking in a stereotypical 80s foreigner heel accent is dragging down the potential of this new gimmick. |
the new nation of dom
|
If this is not true, this is racist.
|
i don't think this will go over
|
this better be a good match rest of smackdown was the craps
|
Vince probably writing up a fine ticket right now backstage for Jey Uso after that thigh slap he gave for the super kick.
|
Cage match was very good.
This week's show was mostly a dud in terms of quality overall. Opening and closing stuff was great while everything else was decent to meh besides the Cesaro vs. Murphy match. |

 at Cole briefly forgetting who was attacking the Street Profits & Mysterios before the start of the 8-man tag match.
Managed to almost forget about Robert Roode twice. |
Well that was weird, why come back from break with the heel team music playing as of nothing happened instead of resuming with the action in the ring.
|
8-Man tag match was pretty good overall.
Started out okay and didn't really need two commercial breaks but got much better once things picked up near the end. |
Guess they really did turn Murphy heel OUTTA NOWHERE since he's wrestling Cesaro again to help out his old pal Rollins.
|
the 3 people i want off my tv going shopping
|
:| at Nia Jax getting arose and saying "slay me" to Reginald changing into different clothes at a men's fashion store.
Segment itself was whatever and dreading where this storyline is going next based on that look Nia gave at the end. |
This new obnoxious/delusional heelish persona of Sasha has been pretty bad.
Bayley managed to pull it off greatly with her heel switch but Sasha has been more annoying in her new role and not in a good way. Also the build for this Sasha vs. Bianca match for Mania has been mostly shit. |
Not sure if Tamia is channeling her inner Io Shirai or Kane with that sudden switch to red & black gear and red streaks in her hair.
Banks & Belair vs. Natty & Tamina stunk. Also that break-up between Bianca & Sasha made it seem like Bianca was the one turning heel and not Sasha despite Sasha acting heelish ever since Bianca won the Rumble. |
That fiery preacher style promo by Big E was amazing.
WWE's way of following that up is by having King Corbin show up and deflate some of that energy. at Sami trying to jump in line of Corbin for the Open Challenge. |
Quote:
|
Roman Reigns is better than anybody else right now.
|
Apollo Crews now busts out Olympic/Angle Slams and Cole managed to make it not feel cool with how he called it like if it was just some normal move everyone does.
There has been way too many Nia Jax segments tonight. Like at least 3-4 within the past hour or so. |

That might have been the most rushed contract signing segment ever in WWE history.
Whole segment felt like a rushed mess but not entirely in a bad way. WWE likely did a piss poor job timing out the matches and segments this week and the main event segment suffered as a result. This week's show was mostly enjoyable overall. Had some pretty bad moments but also some pretty good moments as well. Nothing really worth watching if you skipped besides Big E's promo. |
feel like thats going to be the case for WM too

Was it ever explained why WWE does the really odd habit of having champs coming out first for title matches almost all the time?
Nobody else in wrestling and combat sports does that or as often as WWE does. |
Bet a lot of people backstage were wincing in fear from those swings Nia did to Sasha on the turnbuckle pad.
|
 at the ref not calling a DQ after Shayna nailed Nia in the ring albeit by accident.
That match was weird. Pretty much was almost all Nia beating the crap out of Sasha and Sasha needing shenanigans just to be able to win. Nothing about that match made Sasha look good nor Bianca Belair who showed up for support at ringside. Even managed to not make Shayna look good either. |
Did Rollins accidentally spill clothes detergent or ink on his suit since that white suit with blueish colors on the cuffs and bottom makes it look like that happened.
Don't think I've ever seen a white suit look like that before. |
Street Profits vs. Dominik & Rey Mysterio was pretty good.
Maybe the best Dominik has looked in the ring in a while. |
wow the promo for the corbin match
|
 at this anti-hype video for Sami vs. Corbin match.
|
The pre-match hype video was true after all since that Corbin vs. Zayn match sucked a lot.
|

That Big E & Apollo Crews segment was great.
Big E channeling his inner GTA playing days with trying to run over Crews with a golf cart. Their match and Bryan vs. Reigns are the only matches I'm actually interested in seeing at Fastlane. Drew vs. Sheamus would have been another but WWE made that match completely meaningless once they announced Drew vs. Lashley for Mania and Sheamus not caring at all afterwards nor wanting Drew to put his title shot on the line. |
:| at Bianca vs. Baszler ending via DQ because of Tamina & Natty.
SD's women's division somehow managed to become way less interesting after the Rumble despite having what should have been the best main roster women's storyline on paper going into Mania. |
Edge vs. Jey Uso was pretty good.
This week's show was average at best but also one of SD's weaker shows in a while. Was still way better as a go-home show than RAW was. The Big E & Apollo Crews segment and the comical hype video for Sami vs. Corbin were the best stuff on tonight's show. Everything else ranged from okay to awful. Fastlane still feels like a completely unnecessary show after this week's go-home shows. |

Not sure if Bryan is making fun of WWE's shitty Mania match booking for RAW or their booking in general for Mania this year with that dig about how a bunch of people are getting handed dream matches and title matches without having to do anything to earn it.
Like that's pretty much how the RAW Women's title and RAW Tag title matches were made on the RAW side for Mania. They even did it twice with the RAW Women's title since Charlotte claimed a title match first and then Rhea did the same weeks later. |
They’re putting Sami and KO back together. Face KO and heel Sami will never work.
BUT if they were to put KO and Sami back together. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
Daniel Bryan is so good.
|
Opening segment was very good but neither Edge nor Bryan came off looking like the good guy from it in the end.
|
Rollins vs. Nakamura was pretty good and maybe even better than the match they had at Fastlane.
|
 at Cesaro swinging Rollins backstage.
All those people screaming and the echo it created was annoying as hell though. |
Seth and Cesaro should be a world wrecking in ring spectacle. It won’t, but let’s see!!
|
Wait is Otis a heel
|
What the fuck
|
Apollo Crews' new spear looks a bit goofy compared to the one he had before.
|
Quote:
|
Yikes at Dawkins landing right on his head from that clothesline & German suplex counter by Alpha Academy.
6-man tag match was pretty good overall. |
Otis is literally the best natural babyface of this new group and instead of pushing him as a lovable goof, they make him a boring generic heel.
Fuck this company in perpetuity |
Otis = Rikishi
|
Looks like they’re ruining Otis just like they ruined Rikishi
|
Kevin Owens complaining that Sami hurt him.
There’s literally a decade of evidence of KO hurting Sami. This fucking company I hope Vince gets cancer |
Quote:
Before that he was a lot more energetic in the ring even if it led to him being a bit unsafe for his own good at times going by sheets reports. |
:| at Sami (and WWE) inviting Logan Paul for next week's show.
WWE really has become a magnet for bad publicity these days with all the PR blunders they keep committing. |
Steen/Generico is something I will watch forever. But heel Sami and face Kevin makes zero sense
|
How many matches is that now for Mania's card where it was mostly just someone challenging someone else to a match with little to no build done beforehand or wasn't rushed?
|
Sasha's new heel persona is pretty much Bayley's heel gimmick but if it was more annoying. Even her laugh is like a more annoying version of Rollins Waluigi laugh from back in the day.
She's even doing the same shtick of mocking Cole like Bayley does. |
 at that photo of the new melty Fiend for the Orton vs. Fiend Mania match graphic.
|
Poor Rey, got killed off again in WWE I think. Ziggy just hit a Nash style powerbomb on him over the ringside barrier.
That's like what, 3 times this past year? Nevermind, Rey lives again. |
Cole sounds like he's bored of this Ziggy vs. Rey match.
Just makes what JBL said in a recent interview about Cole being the best ever commentator in wrestling and/or WWE history even more laughable. |
All those words by Pearce just to say the Universal title match at Mania is now changed to a Triple Threat match for the belt.
The show closing brawl between Edge, Bryan, & Reigns was really good. Wasn't really feeling SD that much this week. Show itself was somewhere between meh and average overall. Take away all the Universal title related stuff from this week's show and it was somewhat boring which is bad for a Road to Mania show this close to Mania itself. |
Quote:

The Triple Threat is the least interesting thing they could have done, and telegraphs Roman losing the belt but not eating for pin.
|
Don't get me wrong, Daniel Bryan being inserted into the match (we all knew it was going to happen) makes it ten times more interesting than had it just been Edge and Reigns, but I'm kinda worn out on constant triple threat world title matches at Wrestlemania.
Can't they find a way to put Jey Uso in it too and make it a fatal-4-way? |
I was down for the Bryan vs. Edge Winner Takes On Reigns scenario. It’d give Edge a bit more reason to be doing what he’s currently doing and would give us 2 great singles matches rather than 1 great Triple Threat.
|
Actually adding Jey would have made it more interesting, especially when the predictable "fuck you Uce" moment when he turns on Reigns.
|
One of the rumors floating around that I don't believe is that Vince got cold feet on doing Roman vs. Edge straight up because Edge's appearance makes him look too old and haggard to believably be in a one on one 20+ minute WM level main event with someone like Roman.
I don't buy it because that would've left Bryan with seemingly no program unless they just did Bryan vs. Jey again which they've already done a bunch on SmackDown. But I also firmly believe this gives them an out to give Edge a "thank you" run via pinning Bryan and they can do Roman/Edge at another show. Still, it's hilarious to imagine it being true considering he had Edge last an hour in the Rumble. |
