Not sure how this is surprising? They've been building it up for a while.

The build for it has actually been one of the very few good builds for Mania.

Sure it started late into Road to Mania but it hasn't been shit nor quickly gone south like almost all of the builds for Mania have been.

Whoa at Cesaro getting a singles WM match against such a big name....

I know it is two nights and all, but Rollins is a "if it was one night he would definitely be booked" kinda guy...

I remember when AJ Styles was a big deal.... he has fallen a long way since his long title run....

Honestly, Shane vs Braun in a cage match is the real wtf match. It's been the worst feud of 2021 thus far.

How did Bryan get himself into the title match against Edge and Reigns?

Basically he was feuding with Reigns while the Reigns vs. Edge feud was simmering and baited Reigns into a title match at Elimination Chamber.

That led to Bryan getting screwed out of winning the Universal title by Edge which then led to Adam Pearce making the Universal title match at Mania a Triple Threat match.

According to the sheets, the non-storyline reason for that match becoming a Triple Threat was due to WWE getting cold feet on the idea of Edge vs. Reigns, especially if its a long match, and fear of the crowd cheering for Reigns instead of Edge.

There's probably three matches I care about. The rest is meh.

Use to be a time that Wrestlemania was the best of the best. Now it's just an over-long opportunity to get everyone on the card.

You could take the best matches from both nights and put that into one night, and you'd still get an average PPV at best.

There is that Mania nostalgia running through my veins right now. I'd really like to watch and enjoy Mania this year. I did click on Raw last week and saw Riddle vs Ali and I really enjoyed the match, they worked great together. I'm sure Riddle vs Sheamus will be a solid bout. But, it's a busy weekend, UFC on Saturday and American Idol's first live vote elimination on Sunday so I just don't see myself peeling away from my routine to invest time into this show. The vast majority of it doesn't interest me but I am curious about things. The look, the vibe with live fans for the first time since last year, if there is any kind of Mania Awe. Still a bit torn, I am not subbing to Peacock but I may end up putting a stream on my laptop and watching in the background of my other plans.

That would mean Sasha really did spoil this announcement earlier in the week based on several interviews she had. First she mentioned how her match deserved to main event Night 1 over the WWE title match because of the historic nature of it being the first time two African American women would main event a Mania show. Then she flat out said it would main event the show in 1-2 other interviews.

I am ok with it because once it goes back to the normal 1 day Manias, it will be really hard to justify a female main event aside from the one on one Becky/Ronda match we never got.

It also allows WWE to use that accolade for Sasha and Bianca for the rest of their careers.

Feel a bit bad for Lashley, but not closing the show probably gives him more of a chance of retaining.

The night 1 opener is probably viewed as a bigger deal internally than the night 1 main tbh since it’s that first spot in front of fans after a year

They probably are going to give that first big crowd cheer spot to Hogan instead since him and Titus are the hosts this year.

Becky’s posted a not so subtle IG post teasing a Night 1 return. But it’s not the first time she’s trolled about a possible return.

That said, wouldn’t at all surprise me if her and Charlotte waltzed out to win the Turmoil match since I can’t really see anyone in the current match being someone they’d want to actually book twice in the weekend.

In fairness, it's a reference to experience. Sasha's been on the main roster for a long time and has won a lot of gold, Bianca's just completing her first year on the main roster.

Yeah Bianca's older but WWE hasn't brought up the ages of their wrestlers in a long time, and if you look at the average age of the main roster it's not hard to see why.

It's hardly a WWE exclusive thing, guys wrestle a lot longer now. But drawing attention to the fact that there's almost nobody on the roster under 30 doesn't really add any value.

True, the last time I Remember was Ronda cutting a promo about how Becky and her generation are stupid, which was gold since their age difference is 2 days lol.

Based on a recent interview with the Miami Herald, Booker T will be doing guest commentary for one of the matches at WrestleMania.

He didn't specify which match at the time though.

In addition to being booted from RAW going forward Tom Phillips will not be on commentary for WM due to a possible Covid interaction.

Last time that was left unchecked by casinos and bookies, it led to WWE employees abusing the system to pocket some really easy money on the side.

I wish Booker T was actually commentating on the show. I can't stand WWE announcers but he is far better than whoever they have now.

He is awful on the pre-show but would def be like 9237898735789352x better than Byron Saxton and basically every other commentator because he seems like he would at least be different and is harder to be "corralled" into the horrible WWE style
