Eh, I don’t think any of these matches warrants the cell, to be honest. I guess Lashley and Drew have a lot of history at this point. Bianca and Bayley are at least finishing their feud. Rhea and Charlotte are really just starting theirs.

Sami’s match graphic is one of the best things in professional wrestling.

Rhea and Charlotte have been feuding since the raw after mania. Technically longer since they have history before that, when Rhea fended with her in nxt.

As much as I want to support Rhea Ripley, her program with Charlotte Flair has been atrocious.

Gonna say right now that none of the HITC Matches tonight will be as good as Roman's match Friday.

Have a feeling the WWE are going to do something “big” to alleviate any concerns about them favoring FOX over Peacock (although I’m sure that story is more than a little bullshit). I think they want to water both gardens.

Brock coming out and beating the piss out of someone makes perfect sense. Could see Roman somehow being coaxed into putting up the belt and losing too.

I don’t know if I’m going to watch more than clips, but the cards themselves look pretty good these days. Cesaro/Rollins abs Charlotte/Rhea have both been the best match on a WrestleMania card before. Owens/Zayn is always good. Lashley/Drew could be really good. Alexa/Shayna will probably bring the whole card down. Imagine if Reigns/Rey happened, with a good finish and Bianca/Bayley was a Hair Match. Could be, technically, a great show.

It’s just so hard to really care. And the bad shit is REALLY bad.

SummerSlam a pretty big show, no doubt. I don’t want to say I’m excited about it, because that’s a stretch. But I think the WWE is going to try and bust balls to make it feel like something by modern standards.

Pretty cool Bobby Lashley has gotten to the point where him vs. Lashley actually seems to have some oomph to it, as opposed to it just being “Brock Lesnar vs. the black clone of his that didn’t get as over.” I’m not saying he’s as over as Brock, but his presentation since being with MVP makes him feel like he fits a lot more as a main eventer in that company. I’m sure both guys would bust ass to make it exciting and great.

These video packages aren't making me want to start watching RAW again.

RAW is a pointless and bad show though and there's no point in watching it.

PPVs deliver more often than not. The video packages are good for catching up on feuds.

Really glad they didn’t have Drew win the belt here. Lashley feels like the fresher choice.

On one hand, it’s great that they didn’t have Drew take the title back just to make sure no one ever gets momentum.

On the other hand, we can officially mark him as the latest guy to go over Brock fucking Lesnar and then fall into obscurity thus making the act of beating Brock even MORE meaningless.

Eh, at this point, I’d rather they make Drew mean something on his own. Give him a program that gets airtime without his story being “I want mah belt back.” Of course, that’s all moot if Bray Wyatt is his next opponent. Unless they put a new coat of paint on Bray. By that I mean ending the Fiend shit and going back to the crazy guy. But then one of them has to lose. Eh.

I’ve got a feeling that Brock is going to win the belt so Drew can win it back in front of people. Which wouldn’t awful, necessarily — but I’m just a bit meh on Drew. That being said, I’d probably go that way if I were booking. I had it all worked out until about Mania 39. Do Roman vs. Brock at Mania next year with Brock winning the Rumble. The other big story for that Rumble is Daniel Bryan announcing he will retire from the ring if he doesn’t win the 2022 Royal Rumble. He doesn’t, but then turns heel on Drew to set up a feud between them for Mania anyway. Try and play off Bryan’s shoe-horning himself into Mania main events.

Drew loses the title the next night on Raw to Mr. MITB, Rick Boogs, winning the briefcase at Mania the night before “on behalf” of Shinsuke Nakamura, who was taken out in the build to Mania after he announces he wants to cash in there to redeem himself from 2018. Brock beats down Drew the Raw after Mania and Boogs capitalizes. Nakamura also moves over to Raw. Drew wants a match against Brock, and Heyman accepts. Brock has never beaten Drew, but Drew’s Achilles heel is Hell in a Cell.

As for Lashley — he loses the belt to Brock, is kept relatively strong (hopefully) until he can challenge Drew in December, put him over, then he goes into the Rumble and gets eliminated by IC Champion Cesaro (gets the belt at SummerSlam from Crews). MVP forces a trade to SmackDown for Chad Gable & Otis or something, with Lashley then challenging Cesaro for the IC Title at Mania. Cesaro can beat the guy who walked out of Mania WWE Champion the year before.

If they can't get Brock back or decide they don't want him, I'd assume Drew wins MITB and faces Lashley again at SummerSlam. I think MITB will be Lashley vs Kofi.

If they can get Brock back, I assume he beats Lashley for the title at SummerSlam and then drops it to Drew in Saudi Arabia, which I think is scheduled for September or October.

Feel like Brock and Roman Reigns would be the more obvious feud, but they might want to hold off on it I guess, esp if they are gonna do Reigns vs. Cena at SummerSlam

They should probably have worked on making him mean something BEFORE pushing him as the world beater face who toppled Lesnar. Now he’s just got that Seth Rollins fraud stigma. Beating Lesnar doesn’t mean shit anymore and no stars were built. Kudos.

Since Brock returned in 2013 the person whose benefited the most from beating him has been Goldberg. I'd rank Drew eliminating him from the Royal Rumble after that though.

Supposedly Rock is an option for Reigns at Survivor Series.

After Cena/Rock there isn't really anyone bigger for Roman out there but I could see them build up Drew vs Roman, Brock vs Roman or maybe Lashley vs Roman for WM38.

I don’t disagree. That being said, the timing was...not right per se, but it was an open window for Drew at the 2020 Rumble. That seemingly worked. It was all set up to make him look like a star. It was a really well laid out Rumble. We would have gotten Roman and Goldberg and Drew and Lesnar with...interesting reactions for one and a big pop for Drew winning the belt in the other.

I haven’t followed everything they’ve done with Drew. I don’t agree with The Miz beating him. Orton beating him in HIAC was a fine wrinkle. In my opinion. It wasn’t necessary, but it doesn’t hurt as much as a lot of people cried about. He got right back on the horse.

The silly shit with him was reminding people he was a loser that got fired. Gave me a sour taste from the feel of it.

It hasn’t been perfect, but he’s another guy that’s among their ranks by their standards. Whatever.

I just don’t buy The Rock working a match at the risk of physical injury. That being said, Roman has seemingly set up the two matches with his Twitter recently. But wrestlers go into business for themselves all the time now.

I can see Rock Making an appearance at Survivor Series. As for actually wrestling, I think he's done for good.

Yeah I think if Rock ever does another match it's gonna be one like against Rowan at WM36. Maybe not 6 seconds long but it'll be a quick Goldberg-esque squash where someone runs straight into a Rock Bottom, maybe a People's Elbow for good measure.

I don’t necessarily think The Rock needs to work Mania. If he REALLY wants to wrestle, it might be a scheduling thing. He’s come back at Survivor Series before, and it’s where he made his debut. If he worked it this year, it’d be 25 years since his debut. It’s just where do you go after that?

But I think he’d just be too busy and it’d be too gruelling to get yourself into ring shape, not tear anything, go back to extreme Hollywood bulk, etc.

I didn’t think an Austin return would be too crazy at the start of the year, but then I saw him recently. While he’s obviously been looking after himself, he doesn’t look like he’s gearing up to a return. Looks like he’s trimmed down tremendously, which is probably good for neck and knees.

If Austin came back, wouldnt he come back to face someone that can take care of him in the ring. Someone who has no rust. I'm spitballing, but someone like AJ Styles maybe? I would think he would want to wrestle someone that can draw and that can be careful. I dont know. I dont even watch this shit anymore.

AJ is basically the perfect opponent. He’d at least be a good warm-up partner. I don’t think Austin is as fragile as people think though. Think he could work with basically anyone, although I am sure he would appreciate not doing stupid shit for the sake of it.

Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar are all good shouts (Brock isn’t as dangerous as people think). All HUGE matches. I had him fantasy booked to win the 2021 Rumble, warm up against AJ and then go against Goldberg at Mania, I think.

I think what you'll see with Rock is an actual Survivor Series match.

That way he can be part of a 20-30 minute match without having to work the whole time, stay pretty protected and still get to hit his big spots. My guess is Roman goes face after SummerSlam and Cena and we get Rock/Roman/Usos in a traditional Survivor Series match.

It’s possible. Something about it seems...amiss though. If Rock is going to hit his signature spots, then I can just as easily see him working singles and just squashing a bitch.

I think he’s more likely to serve as a special enforcer or something.
