Money in the Bank 2021
 

The women's money in the bank ladder match seems unnecessary. The way they handled qualifiers on Smackdown was blah. Zelina Vega has been underwhelming and I don't care for the tag team champions. They're bland and have no charisma.

Men's mitb match has the potential to be one of the greatest considering all the wrestlers who can do impressive aerial stunts. McIntyre is my pick.

That's a good poster for the show

Big E or Riddle are my picks.

Big E is on a downward spiral while Riddle is the focus of RAW every single week. I think it's stupid if they'd actually consider using the briefcase for a shot at the tag belts.

Big E was literally teased in a future match with Roman this week on SD, alongside the Edge/Rollins tease. After SD ended clips were all over twitter of Big E being carried on the shoulders of other face wrestlers and cutting a big promo to the crowd to welcome them back. My pics for MITB are Riddle or Big E, leaning towards Big E, on the men's side.

For the women's match I'm going with Liv Morgan but I think they might give to Alexa Bliss...speaking of, I am very curious to see how the live crowds respond to her spooky shtick.

It's admirable how committed Alexa Bliss is to the gimmick. She's 100% invested and it shows. She's one of the most underrated wrestlers of the past decade. I consider her to be at the level of Bret Hart.

Alexa is not convincing as an intimidating wrestler. Watching Shayna and others act scared of her is comical.

Now Eva Marie on the other hand, that is someone who is 100% invested into her gimmick.

Kayfabe is dead. I don't know if you're a Cornette stan but most fans know that people are playing characters on television. They don't have to play them on social media all the time.

Alexa Bliss is never phoning in her character when she's on television. Hope that clarifies my position.

Going to pick Orton for the men's MITB and Liv or Alexa (Alexa only makes sense if you have the Fiend return on her cash in and screw her like she screwed him). Randy because I think it would be interesting for him to be the face with his feud with Riddle
I was thinking on Big E winning and cashing in tonight to make it a triple threat leading to a pissed off Kofi joining up with MVP with Woods stuck in the middle but i like the Orton idea better.

Man was hoping the back to starting at 8PM was a one time thing.

Thinking Big E wins MITB, Lashley beats Kofi then after the match continues the beat down, Woods tries to help, also gets beat down, Big E comes out to make the save. New Day then get the upper hand, they encourage E to cash in, new champ Big E. Big E moves to Raw, making the New Day split even more unnecessary, and the rematch for Summerslam of E vs Lashley. That also saves us from Goldberg randomly getting another title match as rumored.

Pretty much the same thing I see happening. But I think it actually works better with Big E having gone to SD for the last year. More impactful to have a proper new day reunion over this event rather than a regular ole save from the guy who is there every day.

Agreed there. Really sucked with New Day imo. As meaningful as they faction has been they deserve to have a proper breakup storyline play out when they finally do split, not be broken apart by a dumb draft.

I haven't kept up with WWE storylines enough to make predictions. But, I would hope that whatever happens with Goldberg, that WWE heard the internets distain for, and would instead book him against Riddle for Summerslam. I don't know if that's in the realm of possibility though.

Big E winning MITB would be awesome, and cashing in and winning tonight would be a huge moment for the return to live crowds. But also him holding the contact for a long time would also be cool.

I am a Drew Mac fan, but I don't see a clear story for him to take the briefcase tonight. Though if he eventually turned heel, a good feud for the title could be heel Drew with briefcase vs Big E champ.

Clearly I know nothing that's going on in WWE right now tbh.

I believe Alexa does as good a job as anyone with that shit gimmick, and she should be commended for doing her best to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

However this excuse of "kayfabe is dead" that fans and wrestlers alike use, is a cancer on the industry. It's very difficult these days, to get fans to forget they're watching a show and invest in what's happening as if it's real. It's difficult to capture the fans emotions like that, but not impossible. That becomes much harder when the breaking of character is constantly shoved in your face literally all the time. In today's environment, you don't even have to be looking for it to see it, so simply avoiding social media isn't an answer.

Point is wrestlers should stay the fuck off Twitter unless they're in character.

Mysterio's entrance was amazing and a tribute to Mayan culture. Rey Mysterio was fantastic in that match, what a legend. Dominic is still pretty rough but I can see potential.

They were in outworld realm (think Mortal Kombat movie from the 90's) with Mayan pyramids and they found a portal to our realm and stepped through only to wind up entering before thousands of screaming fans!
