AEW Dynamite 8/18: Chris Jericho vs MJF (The Fifth Labour)
 

MJF needs to go over with a lot of fuckery. People need to be throwing shit by the end of the night.

It's kind of crazy how all these matches that I though were going to be on All Out are happening on TV before the big PPV. I mean shit, what is the card gonna be!? Super curious about what AEW is cooking up. This card tonight looks great, can't wait.

On this week’s Dark Ricky Starks was a guest commentator with Excalibur and Taz and was an absolute delight. Such a natural charisma and charm about him even when you can’t see his handsome face.

I think Excalibur and Taz is probably my favorite announce team right now.

Jordan X reading my thoughts. I thought for sure MJF v Jericho and Starks v Cage would be PPV matches. Jurassic Express getting title shots also seems like a PPV caliber match.

I have zero idea wtf the ppv card is gonna look like now. Maybe Omega v Christian, prob Darby v Punk, maybe a follow up to Moxley calling out Tanahashi, and who knows wtf else.

Very weird that the card for their first ppv in nearly 3 months is only a few weeks away.

Starks has future star written all over him.

I feel like this is meant to be a particularly strong Dynamite card to give people even more reason to tune in Friday for Punk is Rampage.

Anyway this looks like another week where I won't be able to provide my live reaction to the fine people of TPWW. Gonna have to watch late tonight or tomorrow morning on DVR, unfortunately.

Optimistic that it ends up being a killer show, though.

I'm sitting here trying to think if Sting ever did the double scorpion death lock before and I think they might be right. I don't think I remember him ever doing that. I have a vague mental image of someone doing a double sharpshooter before but it isn't him and I can't place who it was. Either way he made that look really good. Nice finish.

Same. I don't know how they did it, but they got a spot and damn good one right off the bat. I don't watch NXT so I'd never seen them before. Plus Garcia, never had seen him either. The trio is have obviously impressed the boss somehow, well deserved too it seems.

I don't remember Funk looking that good at 62 while we're talking about him. In fairness that's because of the absolute torture he has subjected his body to over the years. The man is a living legend.

Terry never quit man. Went until he literally couldn’t go anymore. Sting has had some pretty long layoffs. But still, after that awful injury in WWE, he’s out here taking powerbombs, suplexing guys on ramps, and going through tables and getting up like it ain’t shit. Makes me so happy that when he does finally call it a day, he’ll have this awesome run to look back on.
