Card for tonight's show:

Plus a 6-Man Tag that got added late to the show.

This seems like maybe the laziest / most filler PPV WWE has put on yet

Yeah, easily in the upper tier for recent years based on the build for it.

Like the completely forgot the whole purpose and selling point of Extreme Rules is to have a lot more brutal and/or hardcore style matches than usual.

For an opening match, this 6-Man Tag been way more sloppy than it should be considering the talent involved and way more RAW-like than PPV-like at the moment.

Uso's AR graphics for their entrance looks awful.

Sort of like Mandy Rose's old entrance smear setup but replace the smear visuals with fancy looking circles that spin as the Usos are walking down the ramp. Usos look like they are plowing into the circles but in an awful looking way.

having the gimmick exclusively in the main event is how it shouldve been for all these gimmick cards from the get go. 9 gimmick matches in a night is reckless with your talent and you hotshot the audience. everyone loses.


absolutely no benefit from having a card of hell in a cell or what have you. always been a terrible idea. hope this is a consistent change long term. they have got to temper expectations otherwise theyll be a disney version of czw.

Even this SD Tag title match is somewhat sloppy at the moment albeit mostly Angelo Dawkins fault.

Going to be a long night if this continues to be a trend for the whole show.

Ford's sunset splash from inside the corner to the Usos on the outside was awesome.

Latter half of the SD Tag team match was very good. They should have gone with this match instead of the 6-Man Tag to open the show.

Problem is WWE did a mostly awful job building up the only extreme match stip on the show and them waiting till near the last moment to announce it. The actual announcement wasn't even tied into what had happened on RAW last week and just thrown out for the sake of it.

Bliss had some serious wedging going on right near the end of their match.

On one hand, the RAW Women's title match didn't completely suck but on the other hand, it wasn't that good either.

And if things couldn't get even more weirder, Bliss is now actually foaming at the mouth over her sorrow.

Either someone in this US title match just ripped a fart or someone in production botched pipping in fake crowd noises.

Starting to think everyone didn't bother to practice or had very little practice time before the show started since the matches have been full of botches and sloppy action way more than usual for a WWE show.

US title match was very good and best thing on the show so far, especially the latter half of it.

WWE's desperate as hell to prevent any chance of AEW regaining the key demographic advantage over them during football season.

Just threw out a WWE title match for the start of RAW tomorrow.

WWE legit couldn't resist finding a way to mess up this amazing SD Women's title match.

The AR visuals for Demon Balor's entrance is pretty cool even if its mostly a rehashed version of Lashley's one.

Oh wow at Reigns wearing a face mask because of him being in the crowd.

Maybe it wasn't a wise idea to book Reigns to have a brawl in the crowd considering his leukemia health issues puts him at a bigger risk for COVID than the typical person. Then again WWE Creative is full of morons after all.

Announcing Lesnar vs Reigns for Crown Jewel has sucked any interest I had in this match.

Demon Balor is pretty much dead in terms of special aura after that goofy ending WWE managed to come up with for the Universal title match.

Out of all the ways to book the Demon's first ever main roster loss, that was one of the worst and lamest ways to do it.

They massacred The Fiend and The Demon for Saudi Blood money.

I went looking for a longer version of that Balor spot to see if there was a context that made it better.

Apparently he was dead and then the lights went red and his body started convulsing in rhythm to a heartbeat. Resurrected he jumped back up, started destroying Reigns like a man possessed and climbed on the top rope for his finisher. The rope snapped and he fell, hurt his leg and lost. That sum it up about right?

Also, did Reigns really mask up mid-match in order to fight in the crowd? Lol

So of course the Uso's came down to interfere. They all beat down the demon, he started to come back, got speared and then everyone is just lying there.


The red lights start, and Balor starts flopping on his stomach like a fish. The demon rawr noise happened, he popped up, went on a tear, fell off the top rope when it "broke".

You can literally play the curb your enthusiasm music after the lights go back to normal and it would be perfect.

Didn't even realise this was on, but unsurprisingly...doesn't seem like i missed much.

Hahaha, this sounds almost as ridiculous as AEW Revolution did earlier this year. This is a fucking race to the bottom.

And yeah, WWE doesn’t generate much conversation in certain parts of the internet. How weird is it to think it is several times more popular than its nearest competition? Just fucking ice cold, baby.

The mask moment might have actually been worse than the goofy ending for Demon Balor's loss.

At least with Demon Balor, the whole ending sequence came off way more comedic than it should have been but had Balor won, it also would have been a pretty cool and unique ending to a WWE match. Worst that could happen is a lot of ridicule towards Balor and WWE over it.

With Reigns, WWE knowingly and purposely put his health at a potential big risk by booking an unnecessary brawl in the crowd portion for his match. His health battles with leukemia means his immune system is at a bigger risk for COVID than someone like Balor and if the Delta variant has shown, even being vaccinated doesn't fully resolve those concerns. The moment he had to go grab a mask for that part of the match is the moment where WWE messed up royally with their booking of that whole match.

While I agree in theory, there is no way Roman was MADE to do that. If Roman didn't want to fight in the crowd, he wouldn't have. The better argument would be that WWE should have put their foot down and told Roman he couldn't do the crowd spot for his own good, for the exact reasons you said.

His adrenaline is pumping and he’s impervious to pain! He’s fought back against the villains and now he’s ready to hit his finishing move. He bounces against the ropes and hits his big leg drop, but oh no he landed on his bottom too hard and he eats the three count. Well, shoot.

I'd assume he didn't want to make a stink about that issue since it didn't play a role in the match's finish and the mask being something that was demanded by him and/or Creative in order for that brawl stuff to happen. Way more instances of top stars and people getting big pushes just going along with whatever bad ideas WWE came up with than the reverse over the years because they didn't want to piss off Vince.

Now if he was out in the crowd with no mask and it was revealed later that him and/or Creative had turned down the mask requirement, then whoever was responsible for that would have deserved all the backlash against them.

It’s more puzzling to me that a crowd brawl was deemed so important that the goofy pause for Roman to put a mask on in the middle of a fight HAD to happen.

I was trying earlier to put this in a “demonic horror movie character” analogy but I’m not enough of a horror buff to think of a good one. This works.

Its like when they took the 4 leaf clover off the box after 60 years, and the Leprechaun just popped right up and started killing fools!

Sure, but this is Roman. This guy gave up a Mania title match, took 5 months off, and was the new champ within 1 week of returning. Roman has the stroke to punch Nick Khan in the face and not even get fined!

To be fair, during those 5 months, he completely redefined himself from the Top Babyface to the Top Heel. He found the missing pieces of the puzzle and upped his game considerably. What we see out of him today is what Vince McMahon saw in him years ago.

The average fan doesn't care about workrate. But he can work at a high level. He tells some of the best stories in the ring. He is one of the best talkers. Roman looks like an ass kicker, and has no problem wearing a face mask while proving that he is that kind of guy. Dude drew the biggest gate in Smackdown History. People want to see him, and it doesn't matter if he's wrestling Jey Uso or John Cena. He has Paul Heyman in his corner, one of the greatest managers in the history of wrestling, and Roman is still the best part of this act. He carries himself like he's the biggest star in wrestling, because he is. To the point where #2-#5 could be any combination of Big E, Lashley, Walter, Omega, Danielson, Okada, or McIntyre, and that competition is much closer than #2 and #1.

And not only would he not get fined, but Nick Khan would actually thank him for the punch.

Roman can do whatever the fuck he wants at this point. Vince has no leverage over him anymore. If he decides to walk unless he gets the biggest contract in the history of the business, Vince would absolutely pay him. This is what happens when a star hits his ceiling and there’s a viable alternative that can legitimately afford said star.

That could be a whole gimmick for somebody.
It would probably get over too because it actually is remotely interesting.

Every time The Demon powers up he botches the finish and loses.
