I think Matt Jackson’s all but said he’ll be done wrestling in a couple of years and will want to spend time with his kids. Nick is 4 years younger, has a nice singles run in him I’m sure.

Not sure what was more impressive, Nick's spin on the ropes to setup his clothesline or Bryan's spinning sell of the clothesline.

Women's 3-way was pretty good despite a big chunk of it happening during the commercial break.

So far a really good show. I joined in about 8 minutes into the opening match so I will end up rewatching the match in full. Danielson came off very strong.

I actually enjoyed the 3-way as well.

I really think AEW needs to assess how they do their tapings. Rampage when at the end of nearly 3 hours of Dark and Dynamite is just too much for an audience. AEW takes a lot of energy from you as a member of the audience. It's a very engaging experience and with all that taping it's really just asking too much from people.

They need to figure a way to stop taping Dark/Elevation before Dynamite. It would probably be best to book like this...

7:15 - 8:45ish, tape two matches for Rampage. 8pm shoot Dynamite. 10pm shoot one final match or angle for Rampage, then send everyone home.

When I was at Grand Slam, the Dark matches just seemed so extra considering I was about to have 4 hours of tapings ahead of me. Making it 4 hrs and 45 minutes kind of pissed me off.

It's one thing for say Anthony Agogo to be in a Dark match in that spot, it would put him over slowly but surely. But to have some random trio's match with Dark Order and 3 guy you've never heard of for 10 minutes matches zero sense. Put that shit in the studio.

Danielson vs Jackson was a banger. Wooo. Good thing they worked a Danielson style match. Didn’t watch beyond that tho.

I wish that AEW would do something a little stronger with The Dark Order. Maybe they run angles on Dark/Elevation, I'm not sure, but if they do I've not seen them. But this whole angle has been so up and down from the start.

We need some change in The Dark Order. If it's going to be a thing then make it a viable thing not just a job squad. We've already got a few other jobber stables. Let's see some progress in Dark Order! Hell even at this point I'd be down with Bray taking leadership. Or have Hangman actually lead the group on his quest to beat Kenny.

Nah you've got it wrong. The majority of the AEW fanbase was out last night at parties, on dates and getting mad pussy. We are the coolest fan base in the business and gotta get that ass.

The Dark Order tension stuff was pretty much all played out on Elevation. They did matches against each other where they were usually reluctant to fight only to start slugging it out.

I do wonder if their reunion is a sign that Hangman’s finally coming back, maybe as the Joker in the ladder match.

Gonna watch this now I guess. Have some time before I gotta go to work and sit there doing nothing.

Why in the world is this the main event.... either of the other two matches would have been better....

I'd assume it was because of the stip since it made the match more special than the other two which were just normal matches.

Plus crowds really love watching Orange whenever he's around on shows.

Watching now... crowd seems very quiet/tired again... seems like a common problem with the Rampage tapings after Dynamite

I have taken the absolute biggest break from watching wrestling ever. Can’t remember the last show I actually watched. Probably highlights from SmackDown or something. I watched an individual clip from Dynamite, which was an awkward promo between Omega and Danielson where they kept saying “shit.”

Not very good anymore. And it doesn’t seem to be getting better.

And with all that, I’m still one of the most valuable posters here. Keeping the job squad in line and making sure people’s bad takes don’t get past without a scalding.

If you think about it, putting that main event on first is probably a fine cap for two hours of wrestling on a Friday night. It’s like the frosting on a Roman Reigns/Paul Heyman cupcake. It might serve them better to put on something to just whet the appetite at 10pm to try and keep people hanging on, even though the logic seems to be start off stronger earlier.

And never, ever do a two-hour show that late on a night with an earlier two hours again.

To be fair, the only time that would be worse for AEW than 10pm on a Friday Night is 8pm on a Friday night.

7pm Friday might be better for them. Try and get ahead of SmackDown. They’re airing Shazam! this week in that slot. So it’s a movie block. Just try and sneak in 7-8pm in there, then push the movie back to go against SmackDown (which it kind of is anyway). An 8pm movie slot seems marketable too.

I dunno, they probably don’t have the pull for that. Hence the slot in the first place.

Why are they doing Dark AND Elevation still? It’s so much content that just tires everybody out and stretches attention. I can understand doing a match/presentation for YouTube. Do an interview or two. Maybe a prelim match. Then a spotlight match. Get out of town. You can tape it before Dynamite.

They're taping Dark separately from Universal Studios now, which is good... Helps a lot of the roster get some "reps" in... but yeah I've never seen the point of Dark: Elevation in addition to Dark... basically the same show with squash matches, pointless to have two of them

I get that guys need to work, but I think they may be better outsourcing talent to places like the NWA than doing Dark in such a long format. I can understand the YouTube show idea, honestly. Make it an hour, feature guys who can work against green guys, film it in the studio and maybe do one match from the arena.

They have 3 hours of TV and don’t do house shows. Have another 3 hours of TV for YouTube helps get their whole roster more reps and helps the younger inexperienced guys learn to work in front of a camera without the pressure of being live or on actual TV. I practically like it. It’s good background noise and it serves a purpose.
