The SPWW Podcast starring #1-norm-fan (& maybe xrod?)
Seph made the suggestion:

I am happy to produce this show if it happens. Use this thread to convince xrod (and Noid?) to do it. |
They probably would have done it if you exercised a degree of civility in asking them to do so, but now that you've essentially said "hey lets get these retards to join the podcast" they're probably not going to.
|
Lol There was never any chance xrod was gonna do it. It was brought up multiple times and ignored before I started trolling him with the idea.
|
Yeah, let’s try and cyberbully someone into doing something for our entertainment.
|
Noid? Maybe. But xrod needed a little push.
|
By the way, I could have sworn it was RTD who brought up the idea and credited him with it.
MY BAD, SEPH. |
So many people just asking for Xrod and Noid to make fools of them.
Must be sadomasochists |
Lol I’m fine with Gertner pre-recording himself saying “I agree” to be played after everything xrod and/or Noid says if he can’t be there live.
|
I can work that in for sure.
|
What will the topic(s) of discussion be? I’m not interested in just hearing them yell at each other. I can go to the Ratings Thread if I want to see that. Or the All Elite Wrestling Thread. Or the 100,001 Replies thread.
|
Why not use the podcast as an olive branch? TBH Screech is typically a good sport. And I think talking on a more personal level would initiate more understanding/more willingness to reach common ground.
Wouldn't hurt the overarching convos on the forum either. |

Quote:
|
Ooooooh I like that. Flipping the general discourse of the forum on its head. Well-thought, Screecher.
|
But then Gertner would have to disagree with everything.
|
Why are you guys being dicks to my mates?
Fight your own weight class, gentlemen. This sort of loutish behaviour is far beneath your quality. Good day, Sirs. |
Of course there would be a classic rassler shoutout to promote the watch-along
|
i would do a podcast where he hosts, reciting memes and reddit posts that suit his narrative, and just offer my unscripted opinions in a constructive yet entertaining manner, eagerly awaiting his witty retorts/utter silence followed by abrupt subject changes
would also pull my weight by doing some audio editing and light social media. whaddaya say, cumdorx?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: j/k, but srsly lemme know |
I make a few posts a day, that is about the extent of time I am willing to devote to pro wrestling outside of actually watching the shows. Besides, who would want to talk to Fan an hour a week?
|
First of all, FUUUCK an hour a week. This was a one-off offer. You don’t have the material for more than that.
Secondly, that’s clearly a bullshit excuse. You post here plenty AND 90% of your posts come from a wrestling Reddit. Thirdly, there was never a chance of this happening. I know xrod’s type. Comfortable arrogantly spouting dumb, dishonest bullshit online to try to force his narrative but when push comes to shove, the thought of having to defend his bullshit man-to-man in a real conversation scares him shitless. |

|
As far as what the topic would have been, the guy posts about like 3 subjects. Lol 1 if you just count them all as “AEW people bad”.
That being said, I would be happy to still do a podcast on a wrestling subject outside of those three topics with someone else. |

so we arent talking about a podcast. we're talking about a verbal debate. ill give that a listen but we'd need a moderator.
|
It’s not happening unfortunately. Xrod isn’t willing to devote more time than a few posts a day to wrestling despite the fact that he’s gonna hang out in this thread saying the same dumb shit for hours then go to Reddit to find a bunch of terrible memes to post.
Just no time, you see. #NutlessCumdorx |
What would the debate even be about? Xrod clearly enjoys watching AEW and watches most of the shows with us in the live threads. So I dunno what the debate would be.
Is Hookhausen an all time great tag team or THE all time great tag team Probably could get a solid 90 seconds out of that |
the notion that aew is pushing a narrative, as opposed to simply allowing talent to have free-reign to acknowledge and vent grievances, is what our podcast should be about. pm me, xrod (yes, i did just call you xrod)
|
we can call it RASSLIN' WID REALITY with xrod and fundid
|
"Whose commentary is worse and why is RAW's so bad?"
Could get a decent chunk dumping on the Monday night crew. |
"How has AEW not fixed their sound issues?" - featuring expert analysis from Lock Jaw
|
produce our show, screech
|
A cost-benefit analysis: Cody's pyro vs the Young Bucks' streamers
Damn that would've been better if Cody was still in AEW. |

ballz in your court, xrod
|
if this were in good fiath it would be PRETTY COOL but since it isnt its PRETTY LAME
|
I can't speak for fan but I am 100p serious about this. Always thought a rasslin show featuring TPWW posters talking about what's what around here would be neat.
Kinda like GO ADVANCED but more about rasslin |
(I realize Destor may have been talking about fan's initial offer/reason for wanting to do the show and not this thread specifically, but still)
|
My offer was genuine even if I knew there was 0 chance of it happening for the reason I stated above.
|
let's be honest, there are too many podcasts. there are too many shows, too many movies, too much content to absorb. we should all log off, stop watching wrestling, and pursue actual goals and stop pretending we give a shit because if it's not lucrative, it's truly a waste and not building towards anything
|
If you guys don’t leave my mates alone I’ll get really upset and start saying things about this situation.
Nobody wants that. |
Cyberbullies using their cyber bullying to think they’re cool. This wouldn’t be a thing if absolutely piss-wastes like #1-gormless-mark could actually stick to points when discussing. It would happen here and a podcast would just be an audio recount. But nooooo. It’s another attempt to try and humiliate someone because they won’t jump through arbitrary hoops set up for their convenience.
xrod is an amazing poster. Some fools can’t keep up. |

And for the record, I’m not a fan of the name-calling.
|
lol sharing memes from reddit doesn't make him "an amazing poster"
But he wouldn't be able to do that on a podcast so we might actually get some real shit from him |
Fuck it. Fan, Gertner, and fundiddle rasslin show. Let's do it.
|
As long as I can eat tide pods and crack wise on some jabroni marks I don't care who is in the podcast. JUST DEW IT.
|
Seph gets it!
|
(as he should - it was his idea)

I totally would have been fine with him replying with descriptions of memes if that’s what he wanted to do. “How does this story about CM Punk getting a restraining order against his mom for harassing him make Punk a bad person?” “Good question. Okay, this is a picture of Punk smiling with some teeth missing and it says… ‘fed bad’. Now you go.” |
Description of a meme followed by pre-recorded "great point, x-rod!" from Gertner could've worked probably

Having to watch an entire episode of Raw or something might be a dealbreaker though.
|
Quote:
He’s such big game that you lot are trying to bully him onto a podcast. I think that says a lot about how his posts threaten you guys. |
I for one am rooting for X-Rod to climb the podcasting ladder. Much like Phil climbed a ladder to retrieve his mom's bra off his chandelier.
|
Lol Noid, Xrod once cited you as a Kenny Omega fanboy because you disagreed with him on something. It wasn’t until you became desperate for allies that you decided it was best to just pretend he was a rational human being. More disingenuous shit that would be hard to keep up in a real time conversation.

That’s the problem. I’d actually like to miss as much as possible.
|
Eviscerate (verbally)
|
In all seriousness, I would do ONE Raw review just for the novelty of it. Even listening to Jim Cornette constantly talk about current wrestling has made him unlistenable though. And I fucking love listening to Jim Cornette otherwise.
|
Where's TNARICK cause I'm about to see Xrod and Noid put here motherfuckers in the Owned Zone!
|
Quote:
|
Haven't listened to the Drive Thru other than the omnibus end of the year episodes in a long time for that reason.
|
He does the reviews on both podcasts. It would be great if he just designated one podcast as the “current wrestling review podcast” and left them off the other but that would leave some reviews a week outdated and I guess that’s an issue.
|
How long are his reviews/current rasslin rants, generally? Like 10 minutes or is it a whole episode's worth?
|
(haven't listened to Cornette in a long time - can't add another podcast to my rotation until I'm caught up on others)

The old man is yelling at the cloud for no apparent reason. That's the joke. Whenever Cornette takes umbrage with anything, he explains in great detail why it's bad, and how it could be done better. And all of his critiques are based on one simple, fundamental principle of wrestling that is never outdated, or out of style. The principle that wrestling is always at its very best when everything makes sense. Too much of anything can always get tiresome. And its perfectly fine to say you're not interested in cornette's modern wrestling reveiws. A little of cornette's personality goes a long way, and even as a fan of his show, I dont listen to every episode. But this narrative that he's a rambling old man who's ranting for the sake of ranting needs to stop, because thats not whats happening. |
I agree with Cornette on modern wrestling and will always be a fan. But perception is reality and no matter how right he is, he seems like an old man yelling at a cloud. Sorry if this offends you, Fignuts, you cantankerous fuck.

He usually fits in some Q&A that introduces older shit but if his podcast is 4 hours it’s a safe bet at LEAST 2 and a half hours is reviews of current stuff.
And in his defense, he IS much less biased than people claim. He’s relatively complimentary of a lot of AEW stuff. I just don’t care enough to listen to current wrestling reviews and would rather hear old stuff. |
He's not biased at all. He just has his views on what works and what doesn't. But he has so much more to offer than just doing the analysis of current stuff. But it's sort of like the "Conrad goes through Observer as the host flips out about Meltzer" formula. A lot of the listeners are in it to hear him go off on long-winded tangents about how shit the Young Bucks and Moxley are.
I'm more likely to listen to a YouTube clip if I think he's going to be positive tbh, because that's when his passion for wrestling really shines through. |
Quote:
And I am not offended. I have just seen the reference made time and time again, and decided to say something about it. You were just the unlucky soul who prompted my great and mighty response. |
fignuts yellin at clouds again
|
I'm sorry for being right all the time. Its my burden, really.

For someone who spends so much time looking over old posts, you would think you would actually understand the whole picture. At least now we know that in addition to 2020 and 2022 being the exact same time, 2019 is ALSO 2020 and therefore ALSO 2022. 2021 doesn't count though, because that is when Fan was playing nice and PMing everybody to vote for him in the King of the Forums contest. Disingenuous, Obsessed, and Weird. |
Nasty rep messages. Thats the thanks I get for being one of the only people who came to the defense of your one true hero Bret Hart, when he was besmirched by the denizens of this forum.
I didn't see you complaining about my contrarian view point then! |
They were positive reps out of respect.

FACTS ONLY on the podcast, please.
|
I believe "FACTS ONLY" will be the name of the podcast.
|
I liked “Big Boys Only” or “Verbal Eviscerations” (Granted the latter might not work anymore). But I’m open to other ideas.

Dale and I will be sure to join this podcast and tell everyone how wrong their facts are.

Cornette is excellent. The only thing that annoys me about the modern reviews is that they’re often the same talking points because the wrestling is so shitty and never changes. Sometimes I think he is too nice on things.
But I’ll check out YouTube clips. Used to listen to the whole things, but I just find it simpler to break into smaller chunks throughout my day. |
The Smart People Wrestling Website Podcast, if it’s not trademarked.

xrodmuc316 seems like a solid guy. Weird sense of humor though.
|
The podcast would be Dale, Fan, Fignuts and the rest of the sheep just reading from the Observer Newsletter since Meltzer makes their opinions for them.
Noid and Xrod are the only two who aren't afraid to "tell it like it is" |
ill join team "meltzer is a twat" plz
|
Quote:

Noid is Lou Thesz and Xrod is George Hackenschmidt
|
Then I’m Don Leo Johnathan, Fignuts is Karl Gotch, and Fan is Mildred Burke.
