Ric Flair to wrestle his final match ever in July - Flair/Andrade vs Jarrett/Lethal

This is a tremendously bad idea.
They should have a female flight attendant run in and knock him down with a hostess trolley for the finish. |
lol who wants this?
Very Randy the Ram Robinson.
sounds great to me
Lol what a terrible idea that I'm absolutely going to watch
Love it.

Lol It’s a six man and he’ll do nothing in the match but be a showman. Fuck it. Why not?
Also not convinced this will be his last match.
And apparently it's against Ricky Steamboat in a tag match
hoping my timing was right to finally list my officially licensed deadstock wcw flair shirts i snagged from highspots 15+ years ago

I’m definitely going to watch this if no one dies.

Is he strapped for cash again?

Zimmer frame on a pole match? Jesus, He continues to massively shit on whatever legacy he has left. He “retired” 14 years ago. :wtf::nono:
I live not too far, I kinda wanna go. But I've never seen someone die and don't wanna start now.

Lol of course
haha thank god.
Tyrus has offered himself up to be Ric Flair's final opponent
https://i0.wp.com/kingaziz.com/wp-co...64%2C622&ssl=1 |
Somebody call his mama!
Tyrus looks like he's about to become a mama.
Tyrus is a momma of four on disability leave.
I GOT KIDS
I NEED THIS JOB |
That's Heath Slater in his 70s.
MY KIDS GOT KIDS!!!! |
dude, and his kids can be his stable. Wearing their stained up, riddled with holes, can smell their belly button through it t-shirts and slamming back some Mickey's (or most likely, homeade hooch from under the double-wide poured into a Mickey's bottle).
Shit sells itself. |
Luther has also offered to be Ric Flair's final opponent
https://theovertimer.com/wp-content/...LxXsAESuqM.jpg |
Tyrus has the youth advantage over Luther. That spring chicken is only 49.
Fuck it.
I’m officially offering to be Ric Flair’s final opponent. |
My personal choice would be Nick Gage
MDK ALL FUCKIN DAY
Might as well give Ric Flair a title match. Why not? Ric Flair vs. Matt Cardona w/ Chelsea Green. “She was mine before she was yours!”
Ric Flair vs. David Flair in a match where David is the one that keels over from a heart attack.
Ric Flair vs his Ex Wives
he already lost all those matches xD
For everyone saying this is a terrible idea, I disagree! I mean Ric Flair deserves to go out with the recognition of a final match despite his health or any other concerns. I'm sure he's very aware of his limitations and whatnot. This isn't about the match itself, it's about the ending of an amazing in ring career of one of the most colossal legends in the wrestling business. Even if the match is a complete shit show, I love it! I wonder who his final match will be with...hmmm
He's also only 73 years old, practically a spring chicken ffs.
They should get Hogan to rassle Flair that what they should get.
I wanna know who will win Hogan or Ric Flair
It should be Nick Aldis or Matt Cardona
Why not me, Lock Jaw?
If it's someone like Hogan or another old timer/legend then Flair should get the win but if it's an up and comer or someone younger in their prime like Cardona, Aldi's or Lock Jaw then Flair should obv put them over
Clearly, it should be Hogan.
Oh good, you're not dead.
Ric Flair vs. Heath Slater, pls
Add another name to the list:
Ahmed Johnson is not opposed to coming out of retirement for one more match, this time with the 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair, in what would then be a double-send off for both wrestling legends. https://www.kayfabenews.com/wp-conte...ed-johnson.jpg |
This needs to be a comeback tour. Farewell to Flair. Flaircase to Heaven.
* Ric Flair & Jay Lethal vs. Rock ‘n’ Roll * Ric Flair vs. Heath * Ric Flair vs. Joe Hennig * Ric Flair vs. Andrade El Idolo * Ric Flair vs. Nick Aldis * Ric Flair vs. Matt Cardona, NWA Championship * Ric Flair vs. Nick Gage, death match * Ric Flair vs. Ahmed Johnson * Ric Flair vs. Tyrus * Ric Flair vs. Jay Lethal |

It’s a shame Lethal signed with AEW, for anything other than his bank account, because I doubt Tony Khan lets an AEW wrestler do it.
Honestly, I think the best bet is going to come down between Ricky Morton and Matt Cardona, the latter could be an NWA Title match. Wouldn’t put it past Corgan to switch the belt then do a tourney for a new champ on iPPV or something. |
Flaircase to Heaven is brilliant by the way
Yes, it’s quite a smart play on the Zeppelin classic “Staircase to Heaven”.

You gotta think that money is in Ric Flair & FTR vs The Legendary Rock n' Roll Express supported by big Tim Storm!

If this happens what a shame. Taking away from Flair's moment with Hogan involved. I hope it was obvious that I was reaching for a really BAD choice when I suggested Hogan for this spot . Okay gotta state my opinion on this altogether. I actually despise Chris Cruise for his overprotective and kind of creepy obsession with regulating pro wrestling like it's MMA or something. IF Flair is to wrestle, or Hogan or both, they aren't going to be doing crazy shit! They are gonna fake punch each other and fake rake each others eyes and backs for 8 minutes. Sure the will gig and bleed so what? Do you really think Hogan is going to take a bump? LOL If he did it's going to be protected. I'm just saying that the likelihood of someone dying is probably really small its just a fucking show. Secondly, Hogan shouldn't be involved he's not a very important piece in the memory of Ric Flair. And it's not a capstone to his career to do another job for Hogan. Flair & Andrade vs FTR would probably be really good. |
well some news source has hogan
Yeah that's kind of what I was saying. It's not really about the match itself I mean it's obviously not going to be a technical masterpiece or probably even a good match. It's more about Ric Flair but if Hogan was to be involved that would take a lot away from flare because Hogan hasn't wrestled since when like 2011 or something
And it would probably be his "last match" as well
Okay Hogan's last match was in 2013 in London

While a potential Hogan v Flair matchup would be a massive train wreck, having them both in their final match ever would be a hell of a spectacle.
Is it too late to be Ric Flair’s last opponent?
Flair’s farewell match was forced to do a reverse WWE and move to a BIGGER venue due to ticket sales.
ive always loved the fair grounds. wouldve been a cool piece of history for it.

There's a rumor Conrad will face Ric Flair
Oh God. I don’t know how to feel about that. Lol
Quote:
Conrad would have a heart attack.
the Conrad thing is a meme. for real though theyve got 10kish seats and theyll all sell. they can get a good number of guys with those presales
plus the number of guys who would genuinely want to work the match
It’s actually a potentially good leaping off point for a promotion or whatever. I can understand why an AEW or WWE would stay completely clear from it. But this is a “Jay Leno gets to interview Hugh Grant moment.” I’d actually interested in what sort of decisions they make with the rest of the card.
ideally Billy Corbin could get on board and his final match could be under the NWA banner. the symbolism would be nice

Nick Aldis would have been an option for The Fairgrounds but for them now to move to The Municipal Auditorium I'm expecting something bigger. It's hard to say what exactly, especially if they stick with the 6-Man Tag. I have no idea who fits with the Rock 'n Roll Express to make this make sense.
James Storm is another name that comes to mind.
I think you want someone with a big enough name but also be able to heel it up on Flair as a style, but sell for him and not look ridiculous either. Those would be my two leading names, unless there is someone really obvious I am forgetting. |
Unless Batista really wants to do it and isn’t under some sort of WWE merchandising deal. I can see Flair vs. Batista being more appropriate in the sense that fans know they are linked.
It would be cool if MJF "quits" AEW and ends up taking this match with Flair. IDK how you lead back to AEW with that but it would be a great way to get me to buy that PPV.
I looked through a long list of unsigned talent and there isn't anyone connected to Flair that would really make sense. AJ Styles would've made sense, Kurt Angle... but Angle just had knee surgery and WWE likely won't let AJ do a PPV for FITE.
Now that the show is moved to a proper arena I think the match has to be huge. I think Steamboat would be a great choice but I don't think he's on board. MJF would be another great choice because he would bring more interest than anyone else. |
MJF would be…dynamic. I don’t think TK is going to let a contracted AEW guy do it though. Lol if that’s MJF’s ticket to Pillman out though.
He did just let Danielson and Paul Wight appear on Raw via video message.
This PPV is actually turning out with a must see card for hardcore fans (IE most of us here, even Noid).

MCMG vs The Wolves should be a killer match.
This show is really looking good, easy buy for me even without the main event announced. Briscoes vs Von Erich's could be awesome, MCMG vs Wovles, Alexandere/Fatu and the AAA 4 way all could be great.
Interesting that WWE included Ric Flair back in their intro lately. He also posted on Twitter how much that meant to him. I am thinking that we will get a WWE star to wrestle Flair in his final match. We've seen WWE loan out talents before and I think this is the type of situation they would possibly lend a hand. Who are the options? I keep thinking AJ Styles because I know that Flair would love to wrestle him, and of course he can carry a lot of the match. If I am totally off base and it's actually AEW that lends a hand, it really needs to be MJF. That would just be pure insanity. They could even promote it that MJF really left AEW and is out working with Flair. I don't know how you make money on it but it seems like something could happen there. They were talking about a 6-Man with FTR and Rock and Roll Express but I do feel like this event has exceeded that kind of a match. Can the Express really pull that off? I don't think so. Plus there is no natural partner for them to work with that makes sense. If it's not a loan out talent for the match then we are talking free agents. Who would Flair want? I can't really see him giving a shit for Gresham and we've heard that there was a blow up with Jay Lethal when he didn't make the match. Flair did recently work for NWA but come on, really? None of those guys really deserve this match. Not even Nick Aldis really would fit the bill. Maybe, sure at the Fairgrounds that match makes "some" sense, but it's not a draw for me, and likely not for many. You'd want his last match against someone that everyone would know. I wonder if they even have someone booked yet. |
Flair said the only concerns health-wise in training and returning was his inner ear issues, blood thinners, and his pacemaker.
Good to know that outside of the most important organ keeping him alive, he's basically at full strength. |
