Card had SOOOOOOOOOO much potential. But injuries and bad luck have ruined the potential of the card. Still has the chance to have 3-4 good matches. but the rest could be utter shit

I think a lot of the success of the show, as a night of entertainment will rely on the NJPW guys to deliver. If the NJPW guys don't show out this will be a shit show. The AEW crew gonna slap they always b bussin fr fr. Mox gonna reign at the top of the wrestling world tonight.

Triple A (the promotion not the poster, who is a nice fella) robbing us of Andrade vs Ospreay, no Punk, no Danielson, no Kenny, no Lucha Bros, no Naito, no Ibushi, no Ishii, no Takahashi, no Hookhausen (the biggest omission obviously) and many others. This show has worse luck than the Blue Blazer in Kansas City.
I’ll tell ya what man, with all the bad luck associated with this show, I’m seriously worried about getting roped into the bad luck myself by giving them my $49.99. So if anyone has any secret, illegal streams they’d like to send me in a rep or PM, together I think we can break this curse. |
Could have paid to be in a 6 man tag match like Drebin. Could be worse.

Guys, CSRO is going to be Bryan Danielson’s guy and have a classic with ZSJ.
Mox vs. Tan is going to be a MOTY candidate. The main event is going to be a MOTY candidate. And Okada might even win the World Title back! You have FTR wrestling. You have Shingo Takagi wrestling. You have Minoru Suzuki wrestling. This is going to be an all-time great card. It kind of makes me happy knowing expectations are low, because it’s going to smash them out of the park. ;) |

this show has the worst promotion of a joint branded ppv i have ever seen, albeit there really haven't been any in the united states since before i started watching wrestling in '96. that speaks volumes about the current state of the overall product of professional wrestling and the level of hype that exists solely in the minds of those that dwell in the echo chambers. there is truly something to be said about catering to your existing fan base, when even a lot of them hoped for a little bit more of a compelling backstory for these outsiders from japan. there is little to no story to any of this shit aside from the main event, which is a fourway for a foreign title for garsh sakes

I'll give them these two things:
1) injuries suck and sometimes you get stung and have to make the best of a bad situation. 2) There are probably only so many dates they could have done a show like this. While ideally this would have had more of a build and not be coming on the heels of each company's ppv I get why they felt the need to pull the trigger not knowing when the window for a show like this might open again. The better show might wind up being the next one in Japan if thats the route they go. |
it just sucks that the only way to introduce big participants on a card like this is to have them show up unannounced on american television. otherwise, you could actually rely on video packages in their absence leading to an appearance before the main show. not really possible to do that when you've conditioned your fans to just expect surprises every week

The way they have worked with Sting has exceeded all possible expectations. And The Bucks are legends, and Phantasmo & Takada are all stars. No way that match is better with Hikelo!
