Whoever invented this match should be ridiculed into leaving the company

Anyway Sami Zayn absolutely needs to win this to set up a very fun dynamic between him and the Bloodline where he uses his leverage to gain favor and the Bloodline fakes interest him to dissuade him from cashing in.

It would literally be the greatest storyline ever.

Seth wins, holds it til Cody gets back. Feud over the case. Or Cody wins Rumble, goes to Mania to face Roman, Greatest Hiest of All Time II to crush Cody’s dream.
Riddle wins, cost his cash in by a returning Orton (though I wouldn’t want Orton heel)
Zayn wins setting up dynamic with Roman. Either goes face and cashes in or hands over the case to Roman to immediately win back the title when he loses it/them.

Maybe they have Theory hold it until after Mania and do something with Cody?

The only person I can think that links these together is Edge and they’ve got to do something for when he comes back after all the “you people” promos.

I mean, if she is due back by or before SummerSlam, I could see her possibly resuming her feud with Bianca Belair, since she’s officially considered a free agent at the moment.

My thoughts after seeing MITB:

Cena challenges Theory for the briefcase at Summerslam. Cena wins the briefcase and uses it to challenge Roman at Wrestlemania. Roman agrees only if Cena puts his career on the line. Roman beats Cena at mania retiring him for good and gets on the mic saying there is no one left to conquer, then all of a sudden...."if you smell...." hits and Rock comes out for the appearance to end WM 39 & set the Roman/Rock match for WM 40.

I think Drew is going to get the belts in Wales. But to get them back onto Roman for Mania, Theory is going to add himself to a rematch between Drew and Roman, possibly around the Rumble time. Theory is the guy who gets pinned, Cody wins the Rumble — Roman vs. Cody and Drew vs. Theory at Mania.

Cena beats Theory at SummerSlam. I think he will be too busy for Mania. Theory’s story is going to be that no one really buys him as the top guy because Vince hands him everything. So his eventual cash-in will be a defiant “I’m going to do this right, damn it.”

Or he’ll just cash in on Cody on a random episode of Raw. Whatever.

My idea for Liv Morgan at SummerSlam:

She’s got something left to prove as champion. Ronda takes some time off. Liv Morgan vs. Natalya vs. Shayna vs. Raquel vs. Shotzi vs. TBA. We know that it’s going to be a six-pack proving ground, but the last person is a mystery. We’re led to believe it might be Ronda, but it’s Bayley cosplaying as Ronda. Liv Morgan actually catches her with a school boy to beat Bayley like Ronda. It does lead to Bayley winning the belt and probably going against Ronda at some point.

I’m a big Drew fan but I don’t want him to be the guy that beats Roman, at least not this version of Drew. Doing the switch now only to put the belts back on Roman ready for a match with Cody makes everything seem smaller.

Best thing I came up with was Goldberg (w/ The Miz) vs. Logan Paul. Best thing wrestling has seen for years sort of stuff.

Don’t disagree, but with him confirmed for the match, I think they’ve locked themselves in. I can’t see them serving up a UK guy for Roman to behead at the show.

I can see Drew bringing in Tyson Fury to watch his back, so they can try and glom a bit of attention for that. The win itself might feel special. I’m not super-stoked on Drew with the belts again either, but I think it will be harder and harder to care about Drew if he falls in the UK.

If they can get The Rock, and I don’t think he’ll be able to do it, then Roman vs. Rock away from the belts thrills me more than them for the titles. I feel like the drama is kind of sucked out if Roman has the gear. I could actually get into the idea of Rock winning if it’s for the personal stakes.

In that case, Drew doesn’t have to lose the belts back to Roman. Cody could win the Rumble and go against Drew with Theory playing spoiler and adding himself to the match. Or you could do a bit angle on a FOX special after the SuperBowl with a 100 million lead-in. Rock and Roman sign their contract for Mania and Cody and Drew face two heels or something. In the course of the match, Theory wins the belts and is defending champ heading into Mania.

I would be done for Liv vs. Charlotte.

I had this idea that if they did Rock/Roman with the belts and wanted Rock to win, he’d come out afterwards and as the “People’s Champion” he’d “give the belts back to the people” aka relinquish them.

Not hugely sold on my own idea because it sort of shits on the titles.

I could see that. I’d maybe do that later down the line. My Mania card had Charlotte & Io Shirai against Bayley & Asuka, but if you swapped Bayley in for the Becky slot against Ronda, you could do Becky & Io against Charlotte & Asuka or Becky & Asuka finding that respect for one another again and forming a team.

I had that idea too. It’s probably my favourite way to split the belts. I get what you’re saying about it, but as a “reset” there’s something chaotic about the idea that doesn’t make me hate it as much as I should for some reason. I could get down with Rock “blessing the houses” that are Raw and SmackDown.

You could hypothetically do some really interesting stuff coming out of it too. You could do a tournament on one side and maybe some big gimmick match on the other. If they got their heads clear on it, they could do a round robin style thing on one side.

I’m generally a proponent of one World Title, but if they wanted to go back to two, that’s how I would do it.

That’s where you can have Theory cash in and walk away with the belt(s) after doing absolutely nothing. :lol:

Lol, I wouldn’t hate it if they did a one night tournament on Raw and then at the end Theory cashed in to win.
