You don’t need to promote shows that way. It’s fine to talk about it being your second Grand Slam, there being a guaranteed World Champion, etc. Saying it’s going to be the best/biggest ever isn’t necessary.

This show should do 1.2 million given the ratings recently. They’ll celebrate that like it’s won the entire week.

Is this 3 hours? Cause I cant see the majority of matches on this card getting the time they should on a 2 hour show with commercials

This would be the Dynamite to make 3 hrs. I know Rampage has been bumped up to 2 (with no real dramatic matches).

The lesson learnt from last week would be to put focus on the main event. It would be great if the show built around that. I doubt they’re going to have time.

Danielson should win the AEW Regional Title and The Acclaimed should win the Tag Titles. I’d say Toni Storm should get longer with the Women’s Title, but she kind of sucks. If they moved the belt to Britt Baker it would be haphazard but not the wrong destination.

Excited to go see this. No idea how the show will come across on TV but live wrestling is always a lot of fun.

Seg 1: The Acclaimed beat Gloryholes and Charisma Vacuums to win the tag belts. Show clips of Danielson training.

Seg 2: MJF promo. He talks about how it doesn’t matter who wins the World Title tonight, because he’s coming for it.

Seg 3: Britt Baker promo. She says she’s got the edge because Jamie Hayter is in her corner. Jade Cargill walks in and sarcastically wishes Britt Baker luck. Claudio vs. Jericho for the ROH Title.

Seg 4: Claudio defeats Jericho to retain ROH Title. Mox is shown warming up.

Seg 5: Hype package for Danielson/Mox featuring comments from legends, etc. Women’s Title commences.

Seg 6: Toni Storm retains the Women’s Title. Tenille Dashwood comes out and confronts her.

Seg 7: Britt Baker yells at Jamie Hayter for not being out there to help her. Danielson and Moxley commences.

Seg 8: Danielson wins the title with help from MJF.

It’s tight, but it fits.

Oh shit, I dropped the comedy title match. Eh.

Shave some time off Jericho/Claudio and have PAC and Cassidy go a few minutes. PAC wins because you can get something out of him as a dual champion.

I remember SmackDown used to be 5 matches back when I used to enjoy it. And Takeovers are 5 matches long for 2 hours. So that’s probably the right number, honestly.

AEW is the best.

I wonder which wrestlers on this card would rather be working for the WWE right now?

* You’ve got PAC. He was a golden child under Triple H. Got two shows built around him. Clashed with Vince. In AEW, he’s kind of just there. They’ve shoved him into a main event here or there and have just started loading him up with belts, but it’s also easy to forget he exists.

* Ember Moon seemed to get treated above what she was able to deliver in NXT.

* I do wonder about Cesaro now. Triple H picked him for NXT use at times. His 2014 surge is based largely on what he did down there with Regal and Zayn.

* Swerve Strickland is probably kicking himself for signing.

* Keith Lee is a maybe. I don’t know how much of his negative WWE experience was because Vince rightfully didn’t see it in him and what was him being universally seen as a bust.

* If I were the Acclaimed, I’d want to jump ship.

* Danielson would never say it, but the shitshow AEW is vs. what is possible in WWE now? Yeah, he’d go back.

Serious predictions: Dave gives Danielson and Moxley 4.75 and Jericho and Claudio 4.5.

MJF cashes in his chip on either an exhausted Mox or Danielson to become World Champ of AEW is my projection for Grand Slam.

Danielson wins and then The Greatest Booker Of All Time Tony Khan comes out and announces his first defense will be right now and then he SENDS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK. Crowd goes bonkers. Hook comes out and squashes an already exhausted Bryan via a few suplexes and then choking him out. You thought the crowd was nuts before? Well now they are losing their shit. Stokely and his goons then hit the ring OUTTA NOWHERE and destroy Hook. MJFs music hits, he comes out and hands Tony the chip, pins Hook and Tony counts the 3 and then he raises MJFs hand and hands him the belt. Crowd pops so hard that people start spontaneously combusting as Dynamite goes off the air.

Don't get it twisted though, this isn't Tony become an evil authority. MJF just has him by the balls that much when it comes to negotiating a deal to get him to return and save AEW.

TK will get his revenge this Friday at Rampage: Grand Slam: THE GREATEST RAMPAGE EVER when he has Captain Insano squashes MJF and become the new champion. Captain Insano will hold the belt until All In next year when he finally drops it to Darby Allin.

Jokes aside, here is what I think is the best finish for Grand Slam:

Danielson wins with MJF’s help. Danielson vows he knew nothing about it. MJF says that Danielson reached out to him and he should be thankful because MJF is the only way Danielson can get to that level again. Actually start a three-way feud between MJF, Mox and Danielson. It can spread out and involve a bunch of others.

For example, Morrissey (who is friends with Mox in real life) can be MJF’s personal revenge against Wardlow. Mox fucks with Morrissey and costs him. This leads to Mox & Wardlow as an awkward team who might not get along against MJF & Morrissey.

And yes, Captain Insano should win the Golden Ticket Battle Royal.

Big question is who is going to DEBUT tonight on AEW? Which former WWE star will it be?

They need a huge debut tonight. I mean a top level, world changing guy. Someone like Fandango.

Enzo joins Big Cass, Stokely, Ethan Page and MJF. I mean come on, that would be good shit.

the key is they have to debut whoever it is, make it seem like a big deal, job him out to Kenny or Page, and then not have him on TV for the following eight weeks before we hear he's disgruntled and wants to go back to the WWE.

Let’s reflect on Grand Slam last year and where we are a year later.

* Thunder Rosa defeated Kayla Sparks. I don’t know who or what a Kayla Sparks is. Thunder Rosa has since allegedly faked an injury to get out of the company.

* Paul Wight beat a bunch a nobodies in a handicap match. This year he’s going to be Captain Insano in a Battle Royal. Progress!

* The Dark Order were in a multi-man tag. They’re no better off in the company this year than they were last year, and Alan Angels isn’t with the company.

* Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson had their match. Omega faked some injuries and disappeared, came back for a few weeks, then got suspended for being a cunt. Danielson was more special last year than he is this year as he heads into a title match.

* MJF is perpetually in that “he’s awesome but the company doesn’t know what to do with his space.” His issues this year are well known. No match confirmed. Brian Pillman, Jr. reportedly wants out of the company.

* Cody Rhodes and Malakai Black are both gone.

* Sting and Darby are in the exact same spot. They’re going to be on Rampage instead of Dynamite and facing a way less important team. So that can’t be called a win. FTR aren’t booked.

* Britt Baker is going for the Women’s Title in a four-way, but not the real women’s title. Ruby Soho doesn’t matter at all.

* CM Punk is out for punching cunts and possibly being a cunt himself.

* Will Hobbs is working Ricky Starks. It’s not CM Punk, but at least his program is getting time. Over the course of the past year, Hobbs has basically done nothing.

Alright, I can’t even keep going. Nothing matters.

I really hope Bray isnt going to AEW, I just dont enjoy Bray so him going to WWE would be a win for me.
