Seth vs. Rey is going to be a banger. No eye-gouging, hopefully. Seth winning gives him a tick and Rey can talk about how his son’s betrayal is in his head and he needs to wrestle him to get it out. Either that or Rey vs. Finn the Leader at ER with Bray returning to help Rey out.

Alpha Academy and The Greatness That is Chad Gable going against Kevin Owens & Johnny Gargano. I imagine Austin Theory gets involved and sets up a six-man with Braun, maybe for EXtReMe RuLeZ.

Matt Riddle and Damian Priest will no doubt have a good wrestling match. Seth will probably cost Riddle, sets up Freakin’/Matt for ER and gives Great Balls of Fire a win en route to their Bray program.

Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky should be a PrettyCool women’s match. I’d expect Bianca to win, but it would be a fine twist if Iyo got the win and Bayley side-eyed her a bit. A lot of people think this Damage Control faction isn’t really working. But whatever.

Nothing blockbuster or blow-away, but I don’t know how anyone can call it “bad” compared to what is on the other side. It’s “good wrestling” with logical storytelling. It’s not that exciting, but hey, it doesn’t seem to be insulting people’s intelligence either (besides maybe The Miz/Dexter Lumis stuff.

Opening womens match pretty good so far although the promo at the beginning felt kinda forced at times.

Not a fan of forced Ladder Match stip. Seemed all set for a Lumberjack Match. Or, I dunno, just let them wrestle. We haven’t seen Bayley and Bianca one-on-one yet (or at least at this level). I hope this is the end of Extreme Rules as a PPV so they can just do regular cards.

Same with almost all the stips so far. Only the Fight Pit feels earned.

How many kendo sticks do you think we see in the EXTREME Women’s Title matches at EXTREME Rules?

Raw being in Edmonton made me think about how scant WWE is on Canadian wrestlers right now.

Raw has got Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode (who hasn’t been on in ages) and Edge (who isn’t full-time). SmackDown has got Sami Zayn, Aliyah, Jinder Mahal and Natalya. Is there anyone else I’m missing?

I’m surprised WWE hasn’t re-hired Tyler Breeze to do something. There’s another Canadian.

The Aleister stuff has to be misdirection, right? They started running these promos at house shows before he was released from AEW. Considering the rumors of AEW getting legal to tell WWE to stop tampering, Black being the reveal of something started while under AEW contract would be concrete evidence of it and could potentially get them in trouble with the law.

Would not be a good start to the StepHHH reign to already have legal trouble. Especially considering other factors at the moment.

Imagine if AEW actually let him show up for the anniversary. That would be kinda wild. WWE should be super classy about it and actually acknowledge his AEW character, too. Just to throw shade at AEW always taking cheap shots at them, though.

Not necessarily. WWE could just claim that the teasers weren’t for anyone specific and/or they changed direction when Black became available. Them using those lyrics doesn’t necessarily mean anything either. WWE presumably owns the theme song. They could use the lyrics in there even if Black was still under AEW contract and just give his theme to someone else. Plus, we don’t know when Malakai Black was actually released. It’s possible it was negotiated some time ago and he’s free to go back to WWE whenever (unlikely, but possible).

I’m not sure I believe that story though lol. That’s too “discrete” for WWE. Their style is more on-the-nose stuff.

Yeah, I read that unlike the DIABOLICAL WWE having illegal 90 day no-compete clauses in their contract, that AEW and Tiny really respect and treat their wrestlers better, and they only have 180 day no-compete clauses in their contracts.

Is the source code thing with Aleister Black’s lyrics true? Because that can’t be accidental, obviously. We could be looking at a new faction of Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin and Aleister Black.

I can’t pick up any obvious Judgment Day references in the new video. A lot of the talent featured have obviously wrestled at Judgment Day lol. I’m not sure if there’s anything more obvious linking them. Because they seem so arbitrarily picked to actually be random, you know?
