Feel like they’d want to get Karrion Kross on the show, and Damien Priest probably should get on the card in some capacity. I’m just not sure how without doing a MITB match.

I’d like to see something for American Alpha as they’ve had a good feature spot over the last few months. Not sure Alpha vs. MMM is a Mania match though.

Could do a slight twist to recognise the legendary run of The Colossal Connection and have the Andre The Giant (& Haku) Memorial Tag Team Battle Royal (AMTTBR).

The card is shaping up quite nicely. Still a few people missing from it, though.

I'm still not keen on the two-night thing, but whatever. Not sure who I want to win the main event. Obviously Rhodes winning would be a huge moment, but I'm a sucker for long title reigns, and Reigns has been amazing over the last two years.

Agreed. Quite like the idea of Roman hitting 1000 days but what more can you do with The Bloodline at this point and who challenges him next? But also sold on Cody “finishing the story”. Could you afford to delay gratification for him and keep him hot?

Very excited for the IC 3 way. Should be a match of the year candidate.

Would be excited for Cody/Roman but knowing it’ll be the last match on Sunday that means I’ll almost certainly be asleep by the time it comes on. But I won’t penalize them for me being a big sleepy boy.

Wish I could get more excited about Edge/Balor but they’re both kinda boring right now. Can’t take short hair Edge seriously. Looks goofy.

I dunno. I’m kinda bored with the product recently other than the Bloodline stuff. But I was pretty bored with the product last year and Wrestlemania still delivered. So I guess we’ll see!

I've still got little interest in watching the product week to week but the card itself looks like it'll be great for standalone viewing. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

The Raw after Mania has felt like a big flop for the last several years now so I wouldn't bet on much there but that's still gonna be a Raw I check out of curiosity,

I think HHH will want to deliver on his first Raw after Mania.

I actually do kinda wanna see Lesnar vs Omos and not just for the train wreck potential.

Last time they set up a Lesnar WrestleMania match that was an obvious disaster waiting to happen was the Goldberg match and it ended up being fucking fantastic.

Hope they just go nuts and make it video game-style carnage.

Was actually watching RAW/Smackdown (or at least the highlights/non-wrestling segments) for a few weeks leading up to Rumble and then EC....

But haven't even watched any YouTube clips in a few weeks.... just still feeling like they "shot their wad" on the "big storyline" and now it is like "after that, why should I care?"

Imagining the reaction when Sami turns full heel and helps Roman beat Cody and reveals it was a secret plan between him, Roman and Heyman all along and that the rest of the bloodline didn't even know about it.

Then Jey snaps and attacks Roman which writes him off until the build up for SS.

Was supposed to have Bray obviously but apparently Bray has some kind of illness that they aren't disclosing. Rumor I saw awhile back was that he has viral meningitis because it was going around or something. But they obviously held out too long to build anything else for Lashley so here we are.

I personally think he gets a surprise match with a returning Orton.

Didn’t he just go over Lesnar? Not featuring him in any way whatsoever on a 2 night WrestleMania is just ridiculous. Even if the best they can do is set up a last minute match the night before on Smackdown it’s still puzzling.

If he ends up being an honorary Cinnamoji for the big concert though, then I’ll retract my gripe.

I can only hope that Lesnar absolutely destroys Omos in seconds (thus putting an end to his horrendously boring push), and then declares that it's Wrestlemania, and he's here to fight. Cue: open challenge that Lashley answers.

Am I the only one who feels John Cena should be Austin Theory? I like Theory, but I’m just not convinced pushing him as is right now is the way to go.

I have to give props to HHH and the WWE, because we're one week away, and I still have no idea who is going to win the title match between Roman and Cody. This is a first. There's positives and negatives to either outcome and there's so many ways the match can go.

It depends. If he's going to stick around a few months for a "last run" then sure. If he's just leaving again immediately after dropping the title to someone else on RAW the next night though then I wouldn't have him go over personally.

I dunno. If you have Cena beat Theory then do an open challenge on Raw and that’s how you debut Bron Breakker, I could get behind that. Or Gunther, just for the match itself. Or Chad Gable.

Just kidding. He should corner a new company and run himself vs. Goldberg in the main event. John Hennigan vs. the Epic Meal Time guy underneath. Try and get Nick Aldis and Jay White if WWE haven’t already picked them up. FTR, CM Punk and the other talent that is going to be available when their deals are up.

Steve Maclin wins the Impact World Title against Kushida at Rebellion. Goldberg comes out and lets him know that he’s next. Maclin is then attacked by Brock Lesnar in a double debut.

Earlier in the night, Johnny Impact wins the X-Division Championship from Trey Miguel. Christian Cage makes his return to help Moose win a match against someone. FTR are announced as being signed to the company. Everything is different now.

I know around Rumble time the discussion was whether or not they should find a way to get Sami into the title match, if the fans would turn on Cody being in the spot instead of Sami, if Cody's story is better served with him losing his first chance, etc. While I haven't been watching outside of clips, concerns of the crowd turning on Cody were totally unfounded and it seems he's getting massive reactions even when they aren't piping in crowd noise. Cody, Sami, and KO have all had alignment on screen together and all three are majorly over so the crowd seems ready and willing to accept Cody as world champ and Sami/KO as tag champs.

Plus Cody's cutting great promos, his merch sales are reportedly right in line with the other top line guys, Roman reduced his schedule significantly in the last year and there are persistent rumors he wants to take a full blown vacation through SummerSlam and might be going into acting soon.

Roman retaining made total sense the last two Manias, but right now everything seems to be aligning to end the run and get the belt on a genuinely mega over babyface who will have tons of potential fresh programs lined up for him during the year. Like I don't want to be hyperbolic but considering all that's going into this it feels like not pulling the trigger here would be one of the biggest booking blunders of all time.

The set looks pretty gorgeous to be honest.

33 was the best for sure! Before 33 I would have picked 24, so maybe Mania 42 will surpass it? Or maybe it is just Orlando that they like to go crazy with?

I don’t remember 33’s set off the top of my head. I did love 24 though. I liked the orange ropes lol.

Is 33 the rollercoaster set?

I looked it up. Yeah, it is. I can see why people like it. Definitely “epic.” Something about it is too vast for me though. Might be the best of the past decade or something. They all have that giant scope thing which doesn’t really appeal to me that much.

I think I’m just a fan of the big, practical sets over the just the big video boards because I also really liked the pirate ship stage for Tampa and the bridge stage for New York.

So the roller coaster and giant globe at 33 really did it for me.

Oh no I’ve talked about Wrestlemania 33 so much I’ve inadvertently gotten that Flo Rida song stuck in my head.

Now I could very easily get that song stuck in all of your heads too, but I’m not that big of a jerk.

I thought Cena/Theory was opening the show but now wondering it's the main-event of Night 1

Wait is Cena-Theory now main eventing night 1?

I also wonder if this would make Theory the youngest to main event Wrestlemania.

I thought Cena/Theory made more sense to main event night 1. Who started the Charlotte/Rhea rumor? Meltzer?

In what world does Sami/KO vs Usos not close night 1?

Is the Mania card an indictment of H’s run or is it too early for his vision to fully bare fruit?

The only guys on the card that he’s brought up or back are Strowman in an odd couple multi team four way and Iyo and Dakota in a 6 woman tag.

Most of the discussion waa either Sami and KO vs Usos, or if they were going to be "fair", it would be Charlotte vs Rhea. The only other one that had a little buzz as a maybe was the Triple Threat with Gunther, Drew, and Sheamus. Nobody was even including Cena vs Theory in that discussion, hence the surprise.

Not to mention WWE already advertised that they were going to be the first match lol

I dont know if it would be fair to blame him for the mess Bray has caused.

The rest though weren't really huge returns. Kross not having a match is surprising, especially considering he is the first big act HHH brought back (yeah technically Dakota was first, but still).

I guess Gargano does have an NXT match, but nobody else was really brought back as a big deal.

I do think certain guys are much better positioned now then before H took over, with the biggest examples being Sami, Gunther, Judgement Day, and in a weird roundabout way, Theory.

I think it will depend on how Mania ends up going moreso than who all is on the card.

They really need to get Lashley a match though, hopefully against LA Knight YEAH!

I wouldnt be surprised if Orton v Lashley happens tbh. Hell, considering some of the rumors I've heard the last few days, I'm still not sure him and Bray doesn't happen. I've seen a lot of places saying they are hearing rumblings of them switching Bray back to The Fiend so him attacking a Lashley looking for a challenger isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility I guess but I dunno who that does anything for at all. Bray could eat an L to Lashley as himself as part of a feud whereas The Fiend can absolutely not eat an L in his first match back in that gimmick.

Lashley wins Battle Royal. Comes out in Mania to celebrate.

Lights go out. Fiend music hits. He can just leave Lashley lying in the ring for all I care.

Looking at the card again and seeming pretty "dire"...

Only things I really "care" about are Rey vs Dom, The Quebecers vs The Usos, and Bianca vs Asuka. I guess I also care about Roman Reigns but I will be actively rooting for him to "pull the upset" and win.

Also care a lot less about Quebecers/Usos then I should just because the come down on the whole Sami angle is just huge.

Day 2 Gunther/Sheamus/Drew probably going to be a great match too I guess, but I just don't "care" about any of those guys.

Bray Wyatt should disappear forever.

There's a few matches that have really good builds. The majority of the rest have the potential to be banger matches. The only ones that look like duds to me on paper are Lesnar vs Omos and the big women's tag match. Probably becky, lita and trish vs damage ctrl too. Trish and lita have returned enough where this doesn't feel special.

I haven't been this hyped for wrestlemania in a long time.

The men's tag team showcase match should have had the Maximum Male Models in it instead of Strowman/Richochet

I’m not pumped, but I think there is a lot that can be achieved through each match. A lot of the wrestlers have been presented better than they’ve ever been before.

The red cell will potentially ruin the whole weekend though. Don’t do it, Trips…

I think KO/Zayn vs The Usos needs to headline night 1. Otherwise it'll kill the crowd for the actual main.

Plus if the Bloodline is imploding it makes sense to close one night with the tag title loss and the next night with the world title loss
