And what the hell does Victor Zangiev have in common with Mysterio. I can connect Vader and Zangiev but I can't connect Mysterio Jr

The only Zangiev matches I even know of are the Pat O'Connor Tag Team Tournament in WCW

Ok, this isn’t a very strong link: But could it just be they all had their WCW debuts on PPV? Rey Mysterio at GAB ‘96, Vader at ‘90 and Zangiev at Starrcade ‘90?

Had no idea Victor Zangief was an actual rassler... and not just a Street Fighter character... that being said, some quick research has led me to find that Vader and Rey Msyterio also have fighting game characters loosely based on them.
