Halle Berry is a pretty good actress, one of my favorites in fact. However, all the acting talent in the world isn't going to save this steaming pile. The entire basis of her character is based on the classic villainess from Batman, but isn't the one from Batman. The whole "girl power" vibe just reeks of Charlie's Angels 2. And for crying out loud, she looks like she stole some thrid-rate stripper's Halloween costume!

I didn't think they could sink lower than Ben Affleck as the Daredevil, but by God, they sure as hell applied themselves this time.

Gothika was OK at best, but she is awful. Mind you I really dislike her due to her Oscar speech. Also the fact she says she doesn't want to do anymore XMen movies and then she turns up in this tripe. Besides, CatWoman had recently been done in the Batman series.

I think that's why she wants out of the Xmen series, she isn't the focal character. They could easily replace her with somone else anyway. Hell I didn't even know it was her playing Storm until the second movie and even then it you couldn't really tell it was her with her eyes and hair and costume.

Yeah you can tell in the first one by the crapiness of her costume and lines that they either didn't know who she was then or didn't care who she was.

It looks pretty crappy. I'm pretty much with Nowhere Man.

If she's not doing anymore X Men movies, it's a good thing. Hopefully they can get a person who sounds more like the voice actor from the old Fox cartoon.

Ever since I saw the new pictures of her for the movie I knew that this might be a big failure. Here you are taking her and instead of giving her a cat suit that was kick ass looking in the other batman film, you are giving her something just makes her look like a stripper putting on a show.

Now I told myself to put that aside untill the trailer came out and think of what the movie might be when I see that. Now that I have seen it I just have to say that this movie looks like crap. From all the CGI scenes they show in the previews for it, they all look pretty damn fake and for some reason it just doesnt make a compelling thing for me. I get that they are trying to make it like the whole Batman thing didnt happen but still. They should of just began some how when Batman left off. That would of been the best way to go at the time.

Only way to get an audience for this is to attach the Batman Begins trailer to it and get the comic geeks out in force.

Don't replace her. Replacing actors is always a bad thing in movie franchises (with the exception of Bond, because Bond doesn't follow any sort of continuity).

Just write her out of the story. They could re-introduce her African Goddess roots by having there be some kind of horrible drought in Kenya that she feels she has to go and remedy. Don't even show her, just have Logan and Kurt talk about it or something.

Don't replace the actress, but elevate someone else to her position on the team. I recommend either bringing Shawn Ashmore's Iceman to the "Main Team" (which they'll probably do anyway), or bringing in another new character like Beast (only if it's the guy that was on the TV in "X2") or Angel. Personally, I'd lean toward Angel, because

a) He'd be easier to do, cinematically
b) His rich, cultured character would give Charles another good friend to talk to and would provide a natural foil for someone like Wolverine
c) You could cast a bombshell actress to cameo as Betsy Braddock, teasing more character development in "X4" (should one ever happen)

Anyway, it's not like I've put a lot of thought into this or something... :shifty:

Lots of comic book fans are calling this moive CINO. Catwoman In Name Only is what it stands for. I don't see why it's such a big deal if it's not exactly like the damn comic book. I collect lots of Batman titles and I don't give a fuck if it's not the same as the book. I don't plan to see it since it looks kind of stupid and I don't want to be the only person watching it.At least we can look forward to Batman Begins. That will hopefully top Spiderman. Not really a big deal if it's good since WB is trying to produce a Superman film that doesn't sound too good.

He was original, but some say that he was all style over substance and while wolverine is "cool", Gambit was "kewl" which as many of you who were disappointed by the Matrix Reloaded, you know that that kind of "kewlness" doesn't make for good movies.

That'd be like making a movie called "Iceman" and have it be about a caveman... :shifty: Seriously though, I remember once talking to a friend of mine about spending like a million dollars on making all of these high budget action shots about a vampire movie where helicopters are blowing up and guys are leaping across building tops and there would be these huge fight scenes and war scenes, and I'd cram them all into a two minute preview and have the show open on the July 4th weekend, and it'd totally freak out everybody else and they'd avoid that weekend like the plague. Then, once I've got everyone into the theater, the exact same preview plays during the opening credits, and immediately after the credits are over, it switches to a handheld camcorder shot of this cardboard box painted up to look like a coffin....and out pops my buddy (who looks like Garth from Waynes World BTW) and he's wearing a cheap dracula halloween costume and for the next three hours he just looks into the camera and go "BLEH!" over and over again. Actually, the funny thing about it is that I'd probably win some award for it too....being such a long, uncut shot....hmm......:shifty:

They borrowed a whole sequence (the rooftop sequence) from Spidey 1, bullet-time and fighting styles from the Matrix, through in some cliches and some MPDs, and out shat Catwoman.

I hate halle berry. If she won an oscar for monster ball, then Jenna Jameson derserives 20 oscars too.
