ANCHORMAN TOMORROW

I can not waittttt

Looks like its gonna be hilarious

Gonzo 07-09-2004 01:49 AM

Will Ferrell, what more needs to be said...

Champion of Europa 07-09-2004 01:50 AM

I'm gonna see it Sunday.

Gonna rule.

el fregadero 07-09-2004 02:06 AM

I want to see it.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-09-2004 02:08 AM

My type of movie......I LOVE movies like this

Supreme Olajuwon 07-09-2004 02:32 AM

I heard most of the movie is Will doing improv and everyone else doing their best not to laugh

Boondock Saint 07-09-2004 02:44 AM

Gonna kick ass

Funky Fly 07-09-2004 02:56 AM

I am still deciding whether to see that or Spiderman 2. I dunno, I have Blazing Saddles here, so I don't want to overdo the comedy for the weekend.

Gonzo 07-09-2004 02:59 AM

Spiderman 2 is good, but isn't comedy. But while Blazing Saddles is funny, I would go see Anchorman just to check it out.

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2004 03:14 AM

I was iffy when I first started seeing the previews for it but it's getting good reviews. Ebert and Roeper gave it two thumbs up. Usually when a "dumb" comedy gets good reviews, it turns out to be great. I'm definately seeing it tomorrow.

Shaggy 07-09-2004 09:44 AM

Yea when I saw the first preview for it, I thought it was gonna be pretty bad. But toward the release of the movie the better previews came in and now I cant wait for the movie. I think it will be one of the funniest movies in his career.

AareDub 07-09-2004 05:38 PM

The trailers for it are awful. It doesn't even look funny at all.

However, it is Will Ferrel, and the rest of the cast is pretty funny as well. I'll give this one a chance eventually, but based off the trailers I will not be going to see this any time soon.

road doggy dogg 07-09-2004 05:44 PM

Seeing it in about 2 hours. Gonna be awesome.

Gonzo 07-09-2004 05:46 PM

I think I am going to see it tonight too. :y:

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2004 08:04 PM

Just got back from seeing it. ROFL this was one of the funniest movies of all time! And the cameos were great. :D :y:

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2004 08:21 PM

WTF @ Ebert. He liked the movie and all but in his review he was like "Hoping to attract Corningstone, Ron Burgundy splashes on a high-octane cologne that smells, the newsroom agrees, 'like the time the raccoon got in the copier.'"

That wasn't Ron Burgundy. :wtf: How is he reviewing a movie that he liked yet he can't remember a major detail like that correctly.

Smitty 07-09-2004 11:17 PM

Seriously, this movie was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. It's chock full of stupidly funny and memorable one liners. Best scene: The anchormen street fight.

Gonzo 07-09-2004 11:24 PM

So...I get there at about the exact time the movie is supposed to start and it is sold out. Guess that happens. Don't like crowded theatres any way. I'll see it next week or something.

road doggy dogg 07-09-2004 11:49 PM

Got back about an hour ago. It was pretty funny. I guess I hyped it up to myself too much, because I was expecting it to be better, but it wasn't bad. IMO, the movie was kind of dull until
SPOILER: show
that biker punted Baxter off the bridge
From then on though, I really enjoyed it. Wasn't the funniest movie I've ever seen, but it was pretty good.

Gonzo 07-09-2004 11:52 PM

Worth the money then I'm guessing.

MVP 07-10-2004 12:22 AM

Just saw it, I was LMAO.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-10-2004 01:35 AM

Sort of a spoiler: Did anyone catch the random "Smokey and the Bandit" outake in the outake reel during the credits haha.

#1-norm-fan 07-10-2004 02:21 AM

Some stupid kids in the theater laughed WAY too hard at that joke.

Boondock Saint 07-10-2004 04:06 AM

God damn want to see this badly. Tomorrow..er..today hopefully

Triple A 07-10-2004 04:31 AM

Gonna see it tomorrow.

#1-norm-fan 07-10-2004 06:33 AM

After watching the previews now, I'm noticing that like... 60% of that stuff was never in the actual movie. Should be some good DVD extras.

#1-norm-fan 07-10-2004 06:34 AM

BTW, have I mentioned this was one of the funniest movies in the history of the world?

Ninti Ishkur 07-10-2004 09:15 AM

It'll be alright.

I see nothing special out of the movie.

I was dissapointed with Old School.

There is going to be a first DVD release with the actual film and outtakes and such, then there is going to be another release with another Ron Burgundy movie (the original cut was 4 hours long, and they shot enough to make a second Ron Burgundy Movie called "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy).

John la Rock 07-10-2004 08:20 PM

I'll go see the movie high

Dragon 07-10-2004 08:55 PM

Probably gonna see it tonight.

YOUR Hero 07-10-2004 09:02 PM

Rental for me. I think Ferrell is overhyped. I'm sure the movie will be alright, but not really my thing. Who knows though, might find myself down at the theater going to see it.

FFD 07-10-2004 09:29 PM

I don't think the movie was to great. Massively funny during some parts but other than that I didn't like it.

I didn't get to see liek the last 5 minutes becuase the film burnt out. I tried getting my money back but they wouldn't give it back.

What happened at the last 5 minutes?

Boondock Saint 07-11-2004 12:07 AM

 This movie was genius. Friggin hilarious (and random) through and through. Packed audience too and everyone was into it. Great stuff. :y: :y:

Triple A 07-11-2004 04:32 AM

Just saw it. Was pretty good. Some hilarious parts.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-11-2004 04:44 AM

SPOILER

LOL What thefuck was the deal with Smokey and the Bandit during credits hahahah Bret Reynolds...hilarious shit

#1-norm-fan 07-11-2004 04:45 AM

lol. yeah. Genius. Gonna see it again tomorrow.

Triple A 07-11-2004 04:46 AM

Yeah I was ROFL at that part. No one in the audience was laughing. Probably all mad confused.

#1-norm-fan 07-11-2004 04:48 AM

Steve Carell was hilarious in it too by the way. He's not gonna get the credit he deserves because of Ferrell but he was the man in it.

samichna 07-11-2004 04:50 PM

lol just watched it

That was great.

Shaggy 07-12-2004 12:28 AM

I loved the movie. All the people in the movie just made it pretty amazing.

And now i know what San Diego means.

Champion of Europa 07-12-2004 12:31 AM

Fantastic movie.

Steve Carrell was the man, and I loved all the cameos.

Can't wait for "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy."

I just saw it again tonight. This is officially my favorite comedy of all time.

Favorite line/semi spoiler:

*Everyone is upset about the new female anchor*

Brick: I heard their periods attract bears. The bears can smell the menstration.

Brian: You hear that Ed? Bears. Now you've put the us all in danger.

#1-norm-fan 07-12-2004 05:26 PM

As soon as it starts getting safe to post spoilers without black text, this movie is gonna get "I'm Rick James Bitch"ed out. So quotable.

Triple A 07-12-2004 05:28 PM

When in Rome.

#1-norm-fan 07-12-2004 06:20 PM

Dragon 07-12-2004 07:00 PM

Saw it yesterday. There was a few parts that were a little slow, but overall it was great.

The networks all fighting in the big battle was hilarious.

#1-norm-fan 07-12-2004 07:26 PM

Brick: I stabbed a guy in the heart

Ron: I saw that... Brick killed a guy! Didn't you throw a trident?

Brick: Yeah, there were horses, and someone was on fire, and I stabbed a guy in the heart with a trident.

Ron: I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should probably find a safe place to stay for a while, lay low, 'cause you're probably wanted for murder.

I wanna see it again.

House of Pancakes 07-12-2004 11:36 PM

This was like the funniest movie I've ever seen.

road doggy dogg 07-12-2004 11:42 PM

I'm going to punch you in the ovaries. Yup, right in the babymaker.

Champion of Europa 07-12-2004 11:58 PM

I have many leatherbound books. My apartment smells of rich mohagany.

#1-norm-fan 07-13-2004 03:31 AM

"I will punch you right in your mouth. And then I will take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth out to a nice lobster dinner and NEVER call her again."

"DOROTHY MANTOOTH IS A SAINT!"

Champion of Europa 07-13-2004 04:02 AM

"Are you listening to me?"

"Nope."

Buzzkill 07-14-2004 04:16 AM

Just got back. SO FUCING GOOD

#1-norm-fan 07-14-2004 04:20 AM

I've seen it 3 times already by the way. EVERY JOKE still hit the 3rd time I saw it. I laughed uncontrolably throughout.

loopydate 07-15-2004 07:59 PM

There were some bits that had me laughing so hard I was almost crying.

And then there were parts where I know that's what they wanted from me, but it just wasn't funny enough.

I'm still not sure what I think of it. I guess I liked it, but there was enough that dragged, where I don't love it, and I probably won't see it again.

Buzzkill 07-15-2004 08:12 PM

I'm gonna go see it again

Kapoutman 07-16-2004 01:29 AM

I want to see it.

samichna 07-16-2004 01:53 AM

lol might see it again tomorrow if it is still playing at the theatre across the street from my work

I should slow down atleast until it goes to the cheap theater.

FakeLaser 07-17-2004 01:28 AM

Very funny movie.

BCWWF 07-18-2004 02:24 AM

I saw it tonight. Didn't think it was a really hilarious movie, besides Brick, but overall I enjoyed it. The same opinion I have on Dodgeball.

CYCLOPTERSAURUS 07-20-2004 05:19 PM

Saw it the second time over the weekend - one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

samichna 07-20-2004 06:24 PM

Yeah I think I am gonna see it again with the wifey

Smitty 08-01-2004 09:26 PM

Smitty 08-01-2004 09:27 PM

#1-norm-fan 08-02-2004 02:41 AM
