Anyway, I think the Vikings should be the third or fourth best team in the NFC this season, but we do have a really hard schedule. We have the Eagles, Colts, I think Seahawks, Packers twice. But our offense should be better than last year if Bennett and Kliensasser are healthy and the new addition of Marcus Robinson. What should be the big factor though is that our defense has improved, now we have a solid secondary for the first time in...ever...and our d-line is looking pretty []D [] []V[] []D right now with Hovan, Williams, Udezi, and Mixon. Hopefully we don't choke again.

At least they were close to the playoffs. They were struggling hardcore going into that game and would have gotton dropped in the wildcard round of the playoffs anyway, so it's not a great upset. I would rather have a cool season and lose like that rather than barely win four games in front of 15,000 fans.

Choke, plain and simple, although the 6-0 start was a fluke, we weren't that good of a team, but we should have won like 12 considering who we played, we lost to the Raiders, Chargers, Packers, Giants, Bears, some other crappy team too I think. Just a choke.

Davey (back up QB) did ok...but he didnt do so hot againest 1st teamers. Although he did settle down and end up tossing a few TD passes. Not sure if that was really "settling down" or just going up againest 2nd teamers.

Also seeing a #2 in the defensive backfield was kinda cool (Rookie Safety Dexter Reid) That will change once cuts are made though...Stupid NFL Numbers rule

I was watching "NFL Rookies 2004" on FoxSports net early, and the 2 rookies from the Lions by far had the best touchdown dance. Kevin Jones went like he scored a TD then Roy Williams ran over and smacked him on the head and Jones pretended he was a bobblehead. It probably sounds stupid now but if you saw it it was mad hilarious

On the subject of Jones and Williams, it's kind of messed up that two of Detroit's main offensive threats are both rookies this year. But in a few years' time, just think about it. Harrington, Rogers, Williams, and Jones. Hopefully Schlessinger will stick around for a while too 'cause he's a beast.

The game was OK, the Vikings didn't look too good IMO though, and Nate Poole was on like the third line so there wasn't any heat. Meh. I only stayed until midway through the third quarter, Brock played on special teams for all of the kickoffs after scoring, he got a huge pop and got all into it, Hovanesque. Anyway, on the first two kickoffs he didn't really do anything, but on the third he just nailed some guy, spectacular block. I think he will make the team on special teams, because the other team is afraid of him, the first guy to challenge him got derailed. Anyway, solid game, the Vikings should have been better.
