NFL Week 3 Thread...

I got some mad good games on TV this week.

Arizona/ATL
SD/Denver
Colts/Pack

Plus, the ESPN Sunday Night game (TB/Oak) and the MNF game (Skins/Cahhhhbwoys)

Discuss.

Gonzo 09-26-2004 12:00 PM

Giants Browns 1 O'Clock CBS in the Meadowlands. All that needs to be said really. Giants are actually favored by like 2 1/2 last time I checked, but I don't think they are going to win. Jeff Garcia will probably whore up the fucking run for the win on a QB scramble cause he is a dick.

road doggy dogg 09-26-2004 12:18 PM

Monday Night's game is going to be awful. Does any of the media actually give a shit about the TEAMS playing, and not just the coaches? For fuck's sake, any time anybody mentions Dallas all they talk about is Parcells this and Parcells that. Same with Washington and Gibbs... fucking hell.

Anyways, Lions have their first 'real' test of the season playing the Eagles today. I don't expect a win or anything, but if they don't get blown out at least or anything I'll be happy. TO is going to carve them up, since Bly and Goodman are both out. Week 5 couldn't come any sooner.

Guest #1 09-26-2004 01:29 PM

I agree RDD, everyyear we get a skin's v. boy's game, if we want it or not. I remeber a couple of seasons ago when both teams sucked. Al Micheals kept on showing vintage games as instant replays. That was a riot. Sure, people in DC and Big D love the game, but it leave out most of the rest of us who look for MNF to be the premier match up. IMO it's just lazy ass scheduling.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-26-2004 02:16 PM

Bengals play the Ravens today. They could win if they hold Lewis to around 100 yards and shut off the pass which will be easier with Heap injured. Its gonna be tough for the Bengals O to move though because Rudi hasn't been that impressive this year. But we'll see

road doggy dogg 09-26-2004 02:18 PM

Yeah basically the Bengals should just plya run every play since Baltimore has zero passing attack at all with Heap out

#1-norm-fan 09-26-2004 02:32 PM

Dallas is still a contender... and for some reason people are going crazy about Washington's playoff chances. So the scheduling could be worse. Vinny on Monday Night should be good times too.

Innovator 09-26-2004 04:19 PM

Why the fuck doesn't my school pick up the Giants game...no one cares about the Ravens

RoXer 09-26-2004 04:28 PM

Cowboys will get the win tomorrow too.

DaveWadding 09-26-2004 04:31 PM

still going right now 27-22 1:57 left Grossman just ran in a touchdown and injured his knee and he's gone for the game now. Culpepper appearently had a 98 yard pass to Moss for a TD

How come Marvin Harrison like sucks now? I drafted him fantasywise but he doesn't get huge yardage or anything anymore. Wayne takes it all. Somebody injure him

Favre is still the best quarterback ever. He owns everything.

BCWWF 09-26-2004 06:54 PM

That Packers Colts game is amazing...Favre is gonna have sweet numbers, so is Harrison, and the Packers will still lose!!! hopefully...

#1-norm-fan 09-26-2004 07:05 PM

GOD DAMMIT. This may be the only time I get to see my dream match of Manning vs. Favre and I have to sit here and watch Seattle/San Francisco.

Jerichoholic 09-26-2004 07:06 PM

The Jaguars remind me more of the Baltimore Superbowl team that couldn't score, but the Defense was just amazing.

Also, I care about the Cowboys beyond Parcells so eat me RDD, because my Roy Williams will destroy yours

Jerichoholic 09-26-2004 07:08 PM

Also I think that Favre may be able to win my fantasy league alone for this week.

BCWWF 09-26-2004 07:11 PM

How are the Titans still supposed to be good now that they lost Eddie George and Javon Kearse? I forget the name of that tight end they had, but if they still have him isn't he super old? Air McNair is old too now. Why do they have such high expectations?

Rain Man 09-26-2004 07:12 PM

Frank Wychek

Is Dorsey starting for San Fran?

MoRcHeEbA 09-26-2004 07:17 PM

yeah and he fumbled it on their only good drive

Apprentice 09-26-2004 07:18 PM

I love the fact that Indy hasn't rushed it once yet. Peyton has 240 passing yards in the first quarter.

#1-norm-fan 09-26-2004 07:54 PM

Shaun Alexander has 9 rushes for 4 yds and 2 TDs. Bettis-ish numbers.

#1-norm-fan 09-26-2004 08:03 PM

Looks like Indy is about to make it 35-17. Serious chance of some records being broken. Especially if Green Bay can catch up and keep it close and Indy has to keep passing.

Yep, they got it. lol. 1st and goal from the 1 for Indy with about a minute and a half to go. SURELY, they'll just give it to Edge and let him run it in.

BCWWF 09-26-2004 08:52 PM

Favre has been playing like 10 years longer than Brady, you can't really compare them. You can't start talking about Hall of Fame when the guy is 27. I personally consider Tom Brady the best QB in the league right now. Look at Joe Mantana, better numbers than Favre and 3 more rings.

Thought Walker's progressed was stopped on the fumble. If they blow a whistle on the Trent Green play earlier, then I don't see how they didn't on that play.
