College Football Today!

CU @ MU, huge week for us...

They are 3-0 and we haven't beaten them since 1998 I think. We need a big home win tomorrow to help push us closer to getting back into the top 25. I hate being out of it, I feel like a tool.

Other big games:
Auburn at Tennessee
Purdue at Notre Dame

Its late, can't think

Gonzo 10-02-2004 12:31 PM

Notre Dame baby. I think the way we've been playing gives us as good a chance as any to topple Purdue, but then again I don't know these days. Irish football is so unpredictable.

Apprentice 10-02-2004 06:19 PM

First upset of the day. West Virginia goes down.

Gonzo 10-02-2004 06:25 PM

Fuck Purdue in the ass thats what.

BCWWF 10-02-2004 08:55 PM

Minnesota and Penn State, don't know what happened today

We beat Colorado today. They had so many opportunities. Either their offense sucked or our defense played good...We had no offense in the second half again but got damned lucky, did anybody see that interception in the end zone? It was pretty much the same play the guy on the Bears did to Moss last year, except it was good for my team this time! And then they called back that hail mary touchdown by us in the last minute of the half, that was BS.

Brad Smith for Heisman

BCWWF 10-02-2004 10:11 PM

Wow, I just bit into a roast beef sandwich and its really good.

I mean I just turned ESPN on and Auburn is dominating so far. 17-3 or something. WTF?

BCWWF 10-02-2004 10:15 PM

Shite I'm getting K-State at Texas A-M too! A&M is somehow winning! WTF! We have a really good shot at winning the Big XII North if they choke

BCWWF 10-03-2004 01:51 AM

http://community.webshots.com/s/imag...1jJzAYc_ph.jpg

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-03-2004 02:09 AM

102 yard kick return by #22 on Purdue was

North Western just beat Ohio State in overtime too, first time Ohio State has lost at North Western since 1958. First time North Western has even beaten Ohio State since like 78 or some shit.

Gertner 10-03-2004 03:24 PM

Orton for Heisman

BCWWF 10-03-2004 04:07 PM

Smith for Heisman

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-03-2004 04:18 PM

Orton > Smith

I think Orton has a pretty good shot at winning it but I still think its Lienharts (I think thats how you spell it..QB from USC) to lose.

Boston College beat UMass yesterday to improve to 4-1...good shit. Too bad they had to lose to Wake Forest tho...they would prob be top 25 right now if they won last weekend

BCWWF 10-03-2004 04:27 PM

Chris Hovan went to BS :shifty:

Smith has been a huge pimp, but he hasn't been as good as he needed to be to be a contender.

K-State lost to Texas A-M last night which is huge. The Big XII North is completely up for grabs. K-State was originally the favorite but now they choked harder than we did. We're in great position right now because we are good at home and thats where K-State plays us. We should be able to handle Iowa State and Nebraska on the road.

The Outlaw 10-03-2004 04:56 PM

:'( :'( :'(

At least the other teams from Bama won. 'Burn beat up on TN. Good stuff. That'll teach Fat Fulmer.

UAB, UNA, Auburn all victorious. Bama, on the other hand, misses our QB. :'(

BCWWF 10-03-2004 05:13 PM

What about Troy?

Gertner 10-03-2004 05:13 PM

If Purdue wins the Big Ten (whcih I believe they will), then Orton will win the Heismen.

BCWWF 10-03-2004 05:17 PM

The Big 10 is so stacked with football teams. Purdue, Michigan, Ohio State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State are all good.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-03-2004 05:51 PM

Big 10 is having a down year though. Michigan isn't as good as usual, neither is Ohio State.

Michigan State is garbage, they lost to Rutgers. I dunno about Iowa either, they don't look all that impressive. Minnesota looked good with their 2 RBs they got, but still Big 10 just doesn't look that impressive as usual. Oh yea Wisconsin, I haven't really seen them play at all so I can't really comment there

Gertner 10-03-2004 06:02 PM

um BCWWF no it's not.

besides Purdue, who is really "that good"

Minny is alright, but they have no defence

We Are.... Absolutley Terrible----->referring to Penn State if ya didn't know

Look in the top 10, I believe you will find three teams

I know Ohio State will be gone soon, but even so

Gertner 10-03-2004 06:10 PM

And where are they in the top ten?

Exactly

Fricken Ohio state lost to northwestern.

BCWWF 10-03-2004 06:13 PM

They already did the new rankings, and you have Big 10 teams in 16, 15, 14, 13, and 10. Theres maybe one conference as overall strong as the Big 10, That meaning for having 11 teams, there are only a few teams you get days off with.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-03-2004 06:19 PM

All the teams in the Big 10 aren't as strong as usual though, I don't care about the rankings.

Purdue is the only big 10 team I have been really impressed with, and I am pretty big Michigan fan

Gertner 10-03-2004 06:20 PM

lol wait until the bowls come around.

besides Purdue, there is no team I would classify as good.

the reason it's so compettive is because ohio state and michigan are gonna have down years. Michigan and Ohio state both have new qb's with Krenzel and Navarre gone.

Rain Man 10-03-2004 06:20 PM

Gertner 10-03-2004 06:22 PM

and BCWWF i'm a huge big ten slappy.

God my Spartens suck.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-03-2004 06:23 PM

Michigan's problem is more with the running game then the QB IMO

Losing Navarre was pretty big but you can't forget they also lost Chris Perry and are having a hard time finding a replacement. Ohio State blew it last night, all this talk about their kicking being unbelievable and he missed a FG in overtime. I guess it didn't end up mattering since Northwestern scored a TD anyways but still cmon

Gertner 10-03-2004 06:24 PM

Michigan's running game is definitley a probelm this year.

Same with Iowa.

The Outlaw 10-03-2004 07:50 PM

Yeah, Troy beat the crap out of Utah State so  to that as well.

slextremely 10-05-2004 07:07 PM

All the Big Ten schools have shitty offenses, besides Purdue and Minny...
Orton for Heisman!!!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-06-2004 12:38 AM

Orton has been having a Monster year...When does Purdue play Michigan?

slextremely 10-06-2004 01:00 AM

October 23 Michigan @ Purdue

Rain Man 10-06-2004 04:32 PM

Heading up to the Purdue-Penn State game this weekend... Gonna see live how good Orton is, and then after I'm getting absolutley trashed.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-06-2004 08:49 PM

Minnesota vs Michigan this weekend

BCWWF 10-07-2004 01:00 AM

And its on ESPN Classic or some shit

Apprentice 10-07-2004 01:43 AM

No love for Pac-10??

The game of the week is USC-CAL.. LETS GO BEARS!!!

BCWWF 10-07-2004 12:37 PM

This weekend has HUGE games

Texas/Oklahoma
USC/Cal
LSU/Florida (I think)
Georgia/Tennessee
Michigan/Minnesota
Baylor/Missouri

Wow

Wow

Purdue/Penn State... :shifty: you never know last years Ohio State game against Penn State came down to a last second feild from like 60 or so yards away. Kid missed it by like an inch.. So you never the fall of Kyle Orton!... :wtf: yeah right

slextremely 10-07-2004 05:30 PM

If i had to pick one game to watch it would be Oklahoma @ Texas, I wanna see if Texas can even compete with the Sooners, wich they havent been able to do the last few times.
And yea Cal Vs. USC is gonna be awesome also.

The Outlaw 10-07-2004 06:24 PM

Don't forget UAB / Mississippi State. ;)

But yeah, some great games this weekend. :y:

BCWWF 10-07-2004 06:46 PM

Yeah I think the UT OU game is the one I am most interested in too..

Missouri plays at Texas next week so I am hoping they are either way too depressed from losing again or too elated from finally winning to beat us..A man can dream

Apprentice 10-09-2004 09:08 PM

STUPID USC!!!!!!!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-09-2004 09:17 PM

OU beat Texas for the fifth time in a row...damn that hurts

BCWWF 10-09-2004 09:53 PM

#23, 24, and 25 all lost today I think, Missouri beats Baylor and were back in

slextremely 10-10-2004 04:14 PM

Purdue is now in the top five, that's all i care about.

The Outlaw 10-10-2004 04:16 PM

They cracked the top five by...beating Penn State? :?:

slextremely 10-10-2004 05:18 PM

ya i found that odd too, but 3 teams in the top ten lost, so i dunno.
FSU beat Syracuse 17-13 i think? The same Cuse team Purdue beat 51-0
but i really don't know why Purdue jumped Virginia, but it's all good.

BCWWF 10-10-2004 05:56 PM

Mizzou #24 baby! Get ready to drop back out after losing to Texas next week!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-10-2004 10:21 PM

USC will be playing for the national championship this year.

ralphwiggum 10-11-2004 01:38 AM

Michigan comeback again against Minnesota. :) Then in the exact same night, the Twins get eliminated by the Yankees.

slextremely 10-11-2004 03:38 PM

USC looks pretty unbeatable right now no doubt.

BCWWF 10-15-2004 12:09 AM

So I hear all this hype about Louisville this week, my first thought is "with all this hype they are bound to choke, they are too unproven" but damn, until that big interception by Miami they were winning, and its still going to go down to the wire.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-15-2004 01:43 AM

Damn Hester is a sick fuck. That punt return TD was nuts. He has crazy speed, they gotta get him on the field more somewhere. Rolle and #3 from Louisville (Wide Reciever...cant think of his name now  ) where going at it all night, and one the last hail mary attempt Rolle picked it off and the guy from Louisville tackled after it was blown dead, I figured there was gonna be a huge ass brawl.

Louisville has 2 nice QBs tho. That freshman they got wasn't the #1 High School QB in the nation for nothing last year. Louisville looks like it could be on the "up and up" as far as College Football goes

BCWWF 10-15-2004 03:25 AM

I have to imagine they move up in the rankings despite losing the game after that effort

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-16-2004 01:36 AM

UABs QB is a beast, he tore up TCU tonight

BCWWF 10-16-2004 06:50 PM

We're holding our own at Texas today...

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-17-2004 03:43 PM

Hey BCWWF so much for Big 10 being strong this year lol, Ohio State should be outta the top 25 this week, so shouldn't Minnesota

Michigan might have finally found a running back though

BCWWF 10-17-2004 04:32 PM

Lol, yeah wow Minnesota choked and yup Ohio State is now officially bad. Wisconsin and Purdue though, still solid. The Big 10 is usually always pretty much the toughest overall conference, with like 5-6 teams in the top 25, I thought it was the same way this year but just in a different order. Purdue, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigan all started the year, go figure.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-17-2004 10:45 PM

Even though they lost, I still think Purdue is the best team in the Big 10. I don't really think Wisconsin is for real, although their RB is

BCWWF 10-18-2004 02:07 AM

Agreed Stima

Hackney.

Louisville wins if 1 intercepts the ball...game over. :(

BCWWF 10-23-2004 08:43 PM

Missouri played the same game they did against Troy. Came out with a 17-0 lead, lost 20-17. Thats just rediculous. The Big VII North is just awful, which is really good news for us still, because if we win out (@ Nebraska, K-State, Kansas- @ Iowa State) which is very likely, we will be in the Big VII Title Game in Kansas City. Sure we'll get killed by OU, but it would be sweet.

ralphwiggum 10-24-2004 12:25 AM

Now all I need is Wisconsin to lose one game and we're right back in the Rose Bowl.

BCWWF 10-24-2004 01:10 AM

They have a favorable schedule from here on out though, Minnesota is their big challenge if I believe and they go to their house for their homecoming, so I have to assume they have quite an edge there.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-24-2004 01:54 AM

Boston College beat Norte Dame by 1 point today hahah yeah

Just read Holiday's (Current ND WR/used to be starting QB before Quinn) comments in SI saying how he hates Boston College, basically said "I just don't like those guys" haha you dick. I think BC has beaten ND every year since Holiday has been there

BCWWF 10-24-2004 02:50 AM

But how about BU Stima? How about BU :wtf:

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-24-2004 03:20 AM

WHAT

BU? Boston University? My sister went there, her freshman year was the last time they had football

BCWWF 10-24-2004 04:13 AM

Exactly... ;)

Berlin then dropped 5 TD passes right on NC State's dome, I didn't really see much other then the opening minutes of the game though. There was some other game on tonight, baseball or something, I don't really remember

BCWWF 10-24-2004 08:28 AM

I played Tiger Woods 2005

The Outlaw 10-29-2004 12:43 AM

Wow, Va Tech intercepts and returns it to make it 34-20, but he fumbles it leaning the ball forward but the refs fuck up and don't call it, thus costing Georgia Tech the game.

Terrible.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-29-2004 12:46 AM

VT DB musta been hammered though, he could have easily recovered that fumble but he just slid right by and let a guy from GT get it.

He musta thought it was a def a touchdown or something

DegenerationY 10-29-2004 01:10 AM

So yeah, how about that San Jose St squad :shifty:

God they're bad :'(

BCWWF 10-29-2004 02:17 AM

Is San Jose State the team with the one legged guy?

BCWWF 10-31-2004 12:42 AM

So I just got back from Lincoln. The game was shitty, our offence was absolutely horrible. We managed one field goal and thats it. Our defense was awesome, until like the very end they only gave up one field goal. Our special teams sucked, a blocked punt returned for a td and a missed punt snap resulting in a field goal the next drive (I don't blame this on the d).

Anyway, Memorial Stadium in Nebraska is really sweet though. We left last night at 3:00 on a coach bus, got there by 9:00 this morning. Had a big breakfast with all the boosters and alums, it was pretty cool. The Big Red was pretty sweet, I can't lie. It was practically silent when they were on offense, but the place got loud when the "Black Shirts" came out.

It was crazy as shit though, in the beginning some huge bomber flew right over the stadium, honestly like 50 feet above us. It was scary as shit. There was also something for Darrin Erstad, so he was there. Apparantly Tommy Lee was there too.

Overall I have a really good impression of Nebraska and the people there. They were all really nice and not unsportsmanlike at all. It was like a big community, all the old people and families are there.

I'll post some pictures of the big red when I upload them on my computer.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-31-2004 01:09 AM

Yea, they finally just said effffff the west coast offense and started running the ball.

I think once Nebraska gets some recruits for that type of offense they will be back, right now they have an option team running the west coast offense.

Purdue lost again, goodbye Orton in the Heisman race, he even got benched during the 2nd half. I think he might be hurt though. Peterson should win the Heisman IMO...atleast right now. Oklahoma's secondary got torn up today, that could be trouble down the road (AKA USC in the national championship)

Auburn in the Nat'l Championship

The Outlaw 10-31-2004 05:04 PM

I dont know.

If USC and OU and Auburn all run the table, I smell an SEC team being snubbed.

But if they come to TTown undefeated and we end their hopes, that place will be BOOMING.

slextremely 10-31-2004 05:33 PM

Auburn will lose at least one time, they have Georgia, at Alabama, and the SEC Title game.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-13-2004 04:04 PM

Say hello to the Big East Champs, Boston College

W. Virgina might still get the BCS berth tho, pretty bullshit if you ask me. If they both win out, and end up with 1 conference loss each, WV will must likely get the berth. It is because of some stupid rule in the BCS standings or some crap, which makes no sense, BC should have the head-to-head tie breaker but they don't use that? PRETTY DUMB

BCWWF 11-14-2004 03:04 AM

Missouri had the Big 12 North on a platter last week, up 21 points on K-State (who is awful) and Nebraska losing to Iowa State. Then we decide to blow the lead and lose. Wow. Nebraska losing and us winning would have tied us, but then they had to play OU today, so obviously theres a loss, whereas our final two games are Kansas and Iowa State. The Big 12 North is a shame. The Championship game is in Kansas City (sooo close) and we were as high as 17 in the nation earlier in the year. UGH! Hey, at least basketball season is coming!

The Outlaw 11-14-2004 03:31 AM

Well we got robbed again

I seriously think we have the worst luck EVER.

BCWWF 11-14-2004 06:33 AM

Who is we? Bama? Auburn? Sorry I should know this, I don't know why I don't.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-14-2004 11:33 AM

You guys see that WR from Georgia got LAYED OUT yesterday...GOD DAMN

The safety from Auburn fucking leveled him, the Wideout was like dead on the field, totally knocked out. It was a sick hit

The Outlaw 11-14-2004 01:33 PM

Bama

That was a sorry helmet to helmet hit though. Rosegreen had got a personal foul like two plays earlier and then he went and did that. Thought for sure they were going to throw another one on him and eject him cuz he was dancing around and doing a bunch of celebration while Brown was basically motionless and then had to be escorted out on a stretcher.

Sorry as hell

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-14-2004 01:37 PM

Nah he just laid him out man, that shit was clean. Helmet to Helmet so what, he fucking blasted him.

Its the game of football, you are gonna get rocked. I don't think that was a cheap shot at all. The other play, yeah, he deserved the personal foul but I don't think he did there. He got up and was excited after the hit, anybody would be, but once he noticed Brown was out he calmed down just like everyone else. I am guessing you don't like Auburn or something, I am hoping they blow out 'Bama and get to play in the National Championship game. They are serious.

The Outlaw 11-14-2004 01:54 PM

I wouldnt call helmet to helmet clean tho. Theres no doubt in my mind that Auburn are for real. I'm hoping we ruin their perfect season but Im expecting otherwise, especially considering all the fucking injuries we have. If not for all the injuries, it would be #3 vs. #4, two undefeated teams going at it.

PISSED OFF

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-14-2004 01:57 PM

Yea but helmet to helmet happens, I dunno, it just looked like he ran threw the guy and their helmets hit.

I love that shit, Brown got rocked, I am sure he'll be fine. He was probably just knocked out. Auburn is nasty this year, I really hope they play USC. Fuck Oklahoma, they already got their shot last year and lost to LSU.

And why do you think a SEC team will be snubbed? They weren't last year.

The Outlaw 11-14-2004 02:00 PM

Ehh I dunno, just have a weird feeling about it I guess? :-\

I definately want to ruin their season, but if we dont Ill be pulling for em. Another SEC NC = more money for the SEC

ANd that is good for everybody. Except Mississippi State, probation dickheads. I can say that now since were not on it anymore

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-14-2004 02:10 PM

Bad Guy 11-14-2004 06:03 PM

THANK YOU MICHIGAN STATE!

BCWWF 11-27-2004 05:08 PM

HAHAHAHA Iowa State. Mizzou had a bad year, I'm not going to lie, but Colorado is a much cooler school than Iowa State. Sure, they will get killed by Oklahoma in the Title Game, but I've got a lot of friends there so theres a plus. I also know a lot of people at ISU, so thats also a plus.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-27-2004 05:10 PM

Fuckin Boston College blew it...are you shittttttttttttttttting me

Diamond Ferri (yup from Everett MA) the starting safety for the past few seasons also started at tailback and rushed for over 100 yards  That is fuckin redoinkulous if you ask me.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-03-2004 08:04 PM

Pretty hot..Derrick Johnson from Texas rocked #60 (He is usually #11) last week to honor all the other Texas LBs who have worn that number

http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.c...112404_42.html

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-04-2004 04:26 PM

Miami goes down to VT. Virgina Tech wins the ACC title in their first season in the conference

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-05-2004 12:08 AM

Oklahoma wins the Big 12 Championship by 39 points lol

BCWWF 12-05-2004 01:06 AM

Yeah that Big XII championship was pretty poor. Mizzou should have been there, if we played the whole season like we did at Iowa State we would have won it by a longshot and put up twice the effort Colorado did. Thats one big "IF"
