NFL Playoff thread
And use this to predict the games this weekend. I think the Cowboys will **** up the helpless Panthers . That's it.
|
list all the matchups for AFC and NFC
|
Oh and the Titans will lose to Baltimore.
The Packers will prevail against Seattle. And the Colts will get revenge on Denver. So, I have for next week Indianapolis @ KC Baltimore @ New England Dallas @ Philly :( Greenbay @ St.Louis |
Quote:
Tennessee @ Baltimore Denver @ Indianapolis NFC Dallas @ Carolina Seattle @ Greenbay |
Seahawks and Green bay - Seattle
Cowboys and Carolina - Carolina Indy and Devner - Indy Tennesse and Baltimore - Tennesse |
AFC
Tennessee @ Baltimore - Baltimore Denver @ Indianapolis - Denver NFC Dallas @ Carolina - Dallas Seattle @ Greenbay - Greenbay |
Take Cheeba's picks and change Seattle to GB...then those would be mine.
|
Does anybody know the status of Portis and Plummer for the game?
|
then
Baltimore - New England - Patriots Denver - Kansas City - Denver Dallas - St. louis - Rams Packers - Eagles - Eagles Patriots over Broncos Eagles over St. Louis Patriots over Eagles |

<font color=teal>Seattle
Cowboys Indy Tennessee</font> |
Yeah, Portis and Plummer are both fine. Yash, your bracket is a little wrong. If the Broncos beat the Colts, then they'll play the Pats in the division playoffs because they're the lowest seed. Anyway, my predictions...
Tennessee@Baltimore - Tennessee Denver@Indianapolis - Denver Seattle@Green Bay - Green Bay Dallas@Carolina - Carolina Denver@New England - Denver Tennessee@Kansas City - Tennessee Green Bay@Philadelphia - Philadelphia Carolina@St. Louis - St. Louis Denver@Tennessee - Denver St. Louis@Philadelphia - Philadelphia Super Bowl: Denver vs. Philadelphia - Denver Homer? Maybe... ;) |
oh what does it matter?
the result will still be the same  |

Kevin's (Lotus') predictions:
Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers: Yeah, Carolina might have the home field advantage in this game, and yeah, they might have won their last three games, but take a look at who they have beaten the past three weeks: Arizona on a last-second FG, Detroit at home by only 6, and a hapless Giants team by 13. Not very strong. Dallas, as stagnant as their offense looked against the Saints, will find a way to win this game. Both of these teams stumbled into the playoffs (regardless of Carolina's 3-game win streak), and whoever wins this game will not get past the second-round. I give this game to Dallas because of the Parcells factor. They will triumph over Carolina 17-14. Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans: This is a tough one and it will surely be a good game, I believe. History says Baltimore will win this one, having beat the Titans by two touchdowns in Tennessee when they won the Super Bowl, but I find it hard to go against co-MVP Steve McNair. But in the end, it always seems like a great defense (Baltimore) triumphs over a great offense (Tennessee). That's what happened in last year's Super Bowl: Tampa just made Oakland look silly. Also, the Ravens have Jamal Lewis, a guy that can plow through anybody's defense. So, I'll go with Baltimore in this game, beating Tennessee 16-10. Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks: I find it hard to against Green Bay in this one. Green Bay has an emotionally motivated Brett Favre, home field advantage, and Ahman Green. Seattle is 2-6 on the road and both of those road wins came against sub-.500 teams. Also, Seattle has not won a playoff game since the 1980s, when they were in the AFC (Thank you Miz). These teams played earlier this year, and Green Bay ruined Seattle's shit, by a score of something like 35-13. The only thing Seattle has going for them in this game is their spiffy uniforms, and that won't be enough to counter attack Green Bay's powerful offense. Green Bay wins this one running away, 38-21. Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning will finally get over the hump of not winning a playoff game this season. Denver might have beaten Indy by two touchdowns in the regular season, but Indianapolis will not let that happen two times in a row. They will come out firing and light up the score board against the Broncos. Denver will keep pace in the first half, but Peyton and Marvin will be too much for Denver to keep up with in the 3rd and 4th Quarters. Indianapolis will win this one going away, 45-27. Oh, and if you don't like all the pretty colors, too bad, because I don't feel like changing them like I did in that one thread. :) |
Tennessee @ Baltimore - Tennessee
Denver @ Indianapolis - Indy Seattle @ Green Bay - Green Bay Dallas @ Carolina - Carolina Tennessee @ New England - New England Indianapolis @ Kansas City - Indianapolis Green Bay @ Philadelphia - Philly Carolina @ St. Louis - St. Louis Indianapolis @ New England - Indy St. Louis @ Philly - St. Louis Super Bowl @ Houston- Indianapolis Colts vs. St. Louis Rams - Rams |
I'm rooting for Seattle even though they have the smallest chance of winning
|
Look at all those pretty colors
|

I was pretty right one with my picks for the Saturday games. I only missed 2 games! :) |
:D My picks have won so far
Ravens and Panthers Next is Packers  and Colts |
Ravens lost
|
Well we just witnessed Quincy Carter and Troy Hambrick's last games as Dallas starters.
Bring on Mark Brunell and Corey Dillon!!! |
Cowboys :( :'( |
Quincy Carter is just not very accurate. And Hambrick is awful. The defense over achieved. Roy Williams, Darron Woodson, and Dat Nguyen stand out as definate keepers though. Parcells did a great job this year with what he had. Now he can build HIS team next year.
|
you're starting to sound like a boston fan wwf fan :(

|
maybe, just maybe... the Tuna got out coached?
Nah, the Boys were blue collar and over achived this year. I just don't think Parcells will be around long enough to "Build" a team... it will probably be like the Jets, where he tries to win now, and screw up the salary cap for the next 5 years after he leaves. I bet he can trade for Drew cheap... then pull of a deal for Curtis Martin, then he has the core of his 1996 Pats offense (already got Terry "I Didid did" Glenn) that he took and abandoned in the superbowl. |

When they played bad teams, they won. And that's something that alot of good teams can't even do. However, it was playing the decent-good teams where they struggled. |
lol Cheeba. How does a Boston fan sound exactly?
|
2 for 2 so far. still going with titans to go all the way since day 1.

What the f</>uck is happening
|
TOUCHDOWWWWWWWN #3
|
This game is ugly.
Whatever, all that I'm hoping for is the Colts making it to the Superbowl and Vanderjagt missing a game winning field goal on purpose and then punching Peyton. Then he should grab a mic at the MVP ceremony and cut a huge heel promo. |
then Manning nips up, hits the superkick on Vanderjagt, and throws a 432748972493729498 yard TD pass around the earth 758574 times, and I catch it

Wow, I actually thought the Broncs had a chance in this one. It's getting pretty ugly.
|
well theres #4
|
LOL Dan Neil has 3 of 5 Bronco penalties.
|
Quote:
Then Eli can make the save as Janikowski and Vanderjagt make a quick escape. Then just for added tension, Eli gets drafted by the Raiders and has to turn on his brother. |
INT Colts.
