P.S. I know that Rush and Queen are numetal. They are so trendy!!! |
I've heard worse. Nothing particularly original or special though.
And I still think those vocals are too high in the mix. |
yeah i know. i cant do anything about it rightnow not having the tracks to play with personally. well i think i might go pick them up. not too sure yet. the vocals i must agree are abit too loud. samples are too quiet in spots. stuff needs to be fixed. meh oh well whatcha gonna do.

<font color=969696>You made me turn down Sadus to listen to this shit?
Ugh.</font> |
we dont have the money to get it mixed right. its just a demo anyway. if i wanted to overdub vocals samples drums bass and guitars i could but **** who has that kind of time.
|
<font color=969696>It doesn't take money to mix something right. It just takes common sense.
...unless of course you got yourself into a really odd situation where lowering the vocals just a tad would put you in debt.</font> |
if by getting all the tracks done at 3 am and taking an hour to mix 10 songs because everyone had to work at 6am then yes.
|
He has a lovely voice..
|
i like his singing voice alot
|
<font color=969696>So it's a case of "I know it sounds like shit, but I'll release it anyway, and then I'll bitch when people tell me it sounds like shit."</font>
|
Hey man, what'd melody ever do to you?
|

hes new to singing/vocals. give dan a. a brake. i could lube up your asshole with KY and give it to you hard?
|
Quote:
He's new to singing. Wow. That makes everything different. :| Seriously, you shouldn't be recording his vocals then. If you want to impress people, putting some ameteur with no chops on is not an excuse. This is what you're putting forward, this is what you will be judged on. Besides, he wasn't the only thing about your music that sucked dick. |

mixing=mixing levels. shut the **** up and know your shit before say shit. by they way...your comments are useless and will be throw in the gutter like my life
|
Shoot whoever did the mix then.
|
Quote:
See, if your life was actually "in the gutter," you wouldn't have these things. |
and your life is just grand you have internet access which allows you to rip upon other peoples music and yet youve produced your own. **** off.

You're a total moron with no idea what he's arguing about. It takes all of 5 minutes tops to set up a balanced mix for recording. You don't even NEED to mix afterwards if you're good, as a good band can manage the same levels throughout. Though I doubt you've ever recorded before, or you'd probably know this. This isn't even a very advanced recording technique. But why would you take 5 minutes to sound a tiny bit professional, or understand your equipment well enough to bother...That would be intelligent and professional. |
well my samples arnt at the same level dude. shut the **** up because i dont believe a word you say. i know most of what youve said because i recorded my old band myself...this was my first time in a professional studio though. i knew all of that before hand reading on it.

A ton of people on these boards have created music. Personally, I've not only created music, but recorded and produced for other people. I don't put up my band's demos because they're of crap quality, and not how I want to represent us. I pass 'em around with my friends, but I don't randomly hype with what I know isn't my best foot forward. I'd like to think this concept was common sense, but with the number of fu</>ckwits who hype bad demos for bands they claim are "wayyyyyyy better" or "live bands," I'm guessing it's hard to figure out. |
Quote:
Your first time in a studio? It figures. Recording probably meant singing into a tape deck before now. Your samples aren't at the same level, but you COULD HAVE MADE THEM BE. Wow. That would have been hard. 5 minutes. Did you even, like, check levels before you started recording? |
yes i did.
and for your information i wasnt using a tapedeck. it was session recording with my old band. and we used good mixing programs. |

damn, this makes me want to get in a band again.

I have to adjust the balance. The universe needs the equilibrium of me making some actual good music.

<font color=969696>I can't wait until my band gets a talented drummer.</font>
|
If I lived in NJ, I would tryout to be your drummer.
|
Quote:
:p |
Quote:
|
good luck. the chances of getting a talented drummer till you start to draw is slim to nill. you need to realize that. live with it.
|
Quote:
|
you really think there are that few talented drummers out there?
I've been in about 6 bands, and only one of them had a so-so drummer. Two of the three best musicians I've ever played with have been drummers (actually, they were brothers). I'm not saying drumming is easy, because it's not. I'm a terrible drummer. Hopwever, there are some great drummers out there, |

<font color=969696>Any drummer that's dedicated to being a drummer can be very good. Being a good drummer requires the lack of an ego, too [while being a good guitarist requires a massive ego :D].</font>

Quote:
First off, you say finding a good drummer's hard, then you say that you couldn't find a band to fit into. Either you're wrong, and it's easy to find drummers, or you suck, hence your inability to find a band that would take you. And wow. Programming a sample. Yes, that requires so much more musical talent, and I've never done it before. Wow, you've really got me over a barrel now... |
Quote:
Do try to know the difference. |
Quote:
and as far as programming if youve actually done it youd know. IN ADVANCE **** YOU...GO LISTEN TO PISS AND FART(linkin park) |
Quote:
Drum equipment is no more overpriced than any other instrument I've worked with. You probably think it's oh-so-special, but try buying multiple types of instruments. The money factor's bullshit as far as a deterrent to drummers. Piss and Fart. Give you a hint. If you need to explain a joke, it's not funny. That was some pretty boring wordplay. |
well i know all about the money factor. i currently own pro sampling gear and some drum gear. i spent oh too much on drum crap.
|
Yes, and I don't own a single instrument.
Wait...Unless you count my horns, my mics, my pedals, my percussion equipment (Never owned a drum SET in my life, but I own a bunch of DRUMS), my keyboard. Of course, none of that's professional. Oh wait. Everything by my keyboard is. Top it off with a ton of mixing and recording equipment. Only the drums were expensive. Oh wait...Not even that one's true. I didn't say it wasn't expensive, retard. Try getting a clue before you start running your mouth. You're becoming far more boring as time goes by. It's like arguing with a 5 year old with brain damage and tourrettes syndrome. |
considering i never even said anything about any of this to you...
