I wasn't even that big a fan of it but Lost In Translation is still a damn well made film.


Anyways, worst movie ever that I have seen is prolly Backyard Dogs or House of the Dead. Off the top of my head anyway.

Starship Troopers is actually an interesting political commentary (and a kickass movie).

But Queen of the Damned, Freddy Got Fingered and Rollerball were all atrocious.

Exactly. It mixed in elements from The Vampire Lestat as well. I was like WTF. This is nothing like either of those books.

I love Interview with the Vampire though... That was a very well-done movie.

House of the Dead was as poor a movie as I can remember watching. I don't really like going off the top of my head, but that movie definitely sucked dicks.

Yeah, the actors in QotD were some of the shittiest ever. Their voices sounded so fake.. The main thing that pissed me off though was that they changed the entire story, didn't include much of anything from the book except the characters and theme and -basic- story. Fuck, his hair wasn't even blonde as it is in the books.

Worst movie ever is the Polognia Brothers' shitfest "The House thats Screamed". This is quite possibly the worst movie ever. Second is Ed Wood's "Orgy of the Dead".

Good bad movies:

Ed Wood's "Plan 9 from Outer Space"
Fulci's "Zombi 3" (actually sucks)
"Zombie Holocaust" (those crazy italians and their cannibal films)

It just describes so much. I try to remember the names of the shit bombs I watch where I don't turn on HBO and watch them again...or worse yet, spend money and rent them....l

are you sure you aren't thinking of the advertisement that plays before the Star Wars movies on VHS or DVD, cause I don't think that was George Lucas's idea.

The "THX" logo that comes up at the begining of movies refers to the people who did the sound work for the movie. It's a subsidiary of Industrial Light and Magic and was named after Lucas' movie.

It's THX1138. I think I read somewhere that it was his (Lucas') college dorm room phone number or something stupid like that.

Anyway, another vote for Queen of the Damned and MK: Annihilation. Damn, those were awful. I try to stay away from shit films as much as possible, I don't even get curious, but jeez they were awful.

Anything Else is pretty bad too.

the thing with two heads, story is that a brilliant/rich/scientist whos also a biggot is dying and gets his head sewn onto a large black man on death row, the black guy escapes from the lab with the proffesor, on a dirt bike..

"black son of a bitch" opposed to the N-word was used in most of the dialouge(sp?)
and you could tell that when they were both seen in the same shot, the white guy was just standing on a box, and slightly back, with his chin on the black mans shoulders, and a large bandage was wrapped around their necks for obvious reasons.

Scary Movie II and III. Two was just too gay and III wasn't even funny.

Annihilation was an hour and a half piss break and Will Smith movies are those that you just want to take target practice at.

The Horror movie fans were waiting for a long time, that got so cut down, that it was nothing but crap....with the exception of Captain Splauding (sp?)

I actually like House of 1k Corpses...:-\ Dunno, not really scary but just a fun messed up movie.

I believe Rob intended to release an uncut version on DVD, but then was offered to do the sequel. So he made the choice of one or the other and chose the latter.

Speaking of that, The Devil's Rejects was supposed to come out this month if I remember correctly. Or "rumored" to come out.

You know, now that I think about it - that second Charlie's Angels did suck. I was just too enraptured by Drew I guess (and the car wash scene at the end of the movie...hmm)

If I go by bad movies, I would say Freddy Got Fingered but I knew that one was going to be bad before I saw it so it doesn't count. I can think of the Burbs, The Matrix, and a big budget bomb from years gone by that starred Geena Davis - something about her being a pirate. It costed $100 million to make and it sucked every second.

As for the Batman franchise, it's pretty much dead when you start with Burton's Batman in '89. Granted, the first Batman isn't nearly as bad as Forever and B&R, but the first Batman is really not that good of a film.

Pretty obvious how many Tarantino movies YOU'VE seen...try none.

WTF. How anyone can claim these movies to be "poorly made" is ridiculous. You may not enjoy them but that still does not mean they were poorly made. These are some of the most beautifully made films to ever grace the screen, plus probably the best book-to-film adaptation yet.

You thought the movie was boring, just imagine what was left out from the books that would have made it even more boring for ya.

I consider them poorly directed and poorly acted. Secondly, I don't think the special effects are that good either. I'm not trying to sound like an ass, either, but I just don't think they're made well. I respect your opinion, Boondock, I'm not trying to attack you personally here.

As for Tarrantino, I have seen his films. I've seen Pulp Fiction, don't like it. I've seen Resevoir(sp?) Dogs, don't like it. I'm just not impressed with him. Plus, he's got such a huge ego, that I can't stand the guy. He's so arrogant and pretentious. People have filled his head with all this bullshit about how he's such a great director, and his head has grown to the size of a fucking trailer park. In my opinion, I don't think he's a good director.

It's the same way with Kevin Smith. His ego has grown so much, that he's so fucking in love with himself. Pure fact is, Kevin, just because you make comic book references, that doesn't qualify you to write comic books. Case in point, Daredevil. All you did was re-hash Frank Millers stuff, who did it so much better than you.

I hate to break this to YOU, but I'm not talking about the movie. I'm talking about the comic books, you know, the source material? You do know that Daredevil was a comic book first, right? Kevin Smith worked on the Daredevil comics, but all he did was re-hash and rape Frank Miller's(another god of comics, in case you didn't know) material. Miller had done it so much better as well.

I never said Kevin Smith directed it. Daredevil was written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, who is also doing Ghost Rider. So don't tell me what is and isn't before getting what I said straight.

I think I'm like 1 of 5 people who enjoyed Daredevil.
